MISA is one of the most striking and photogenic women in the world, she wears all black and plays the most kick-ass bass in rock music. It doesn't seem like you'd have to be reminded to put her on the stream every so often ... and at 5:48 - Mincho gets "that look" in her eye. Apparently a few nights ago in Hiroshima, Kanami went over and took a swig of whatever was on MISA's amp and proceeded to have an out-of-body experience for everybody in the venue.
@@Pelamaal I haven't seen any and don't expect to. Most venues in Japan do not allow video cameras and the Japanese abide by that. Band-Maid has premiered two songs in the past few weeks, *"Go Easy"* and *"Brightest Star,"* and there have been absolutely zero videos or audio recordings of either of those. But I can point you to a concert review by Peter Lim of the Maid News Network where he describes it: ua-cam.com/video/EkpmLWCJzW8/v-deo.html
Misa solo! What was the camera director up to? Anyway, it didn't spoil it too much. First time I have seen this performance. Talk about tears welling up. I was nearly there at the start for Band Maid. To see them perform like this and taking in your comments of how well they have been received in the US, is overwhelming.
The song is called Hate, so it is quite natural that it triggers hate .... against the camera man! You are not the only one that has been annoyed. Anyhow - this is a fun song. Fun to play and fun to hear and fun to see. Quite a workout for all the musicians.
Extraordinary band maid as usual. I take this opportunity to tell you my astonishment: you appreciate, like me, the Lovebites and I am very surprised that you did not react to what many, including me, consider to be their absolute masterpiece, namely "Frozen serenade ". This is not a criticism, it simply surprises me a lot...
Misa's early solo went 20secs and at the end they were still focused on Akane. Bit weird and makes me think they had a plan to focus on the drummer ahead of time and were resistant to adjusting.
Art is emission which you receive. It’s all about emission and reception. There’s no words, or should I say that it takes no words to appreciate the art, nor to reach someone or something that goes beyond you. All in all, you’ve gotta know that.
Thanks for playing this it was great. You know there's a little bass solo in the new official live video for NEMOPHILA's Change the world. It's not a heavy song but it's catchy and a great live performance especially from Saki who steals the show. Have you ever done Rolling Quartz they are all girl Korean and quite enjoyable to listen to.
@GaryHolloway-810 I wasn't sure it was me because I don't use numbers after my name and I couldn't remember writing to them but I guess there aren't many Stephenchigwiddens around the world. I call for you again I've just this minute finished watching the NEMOPHILA concert it was only 30 minutes but still Great and free.
Half this answer I wrote 10 minutes ago because my sister rang but yes NEMOPHILA were great I think it was to celebrate 5 years as a band. Didn't that go quickly.
@@GaryHolloway-810 i Gary did you see in the Live chat for the Nemophila stream some twat totally disrepecting Kanami and Miku basically saying Kanami cant play guitar and his insult to Miku was even worse. It must have been removed because at the end of the stream I was going to go back and respond to it even though that was what he was probaly hoping for, but it was gone. He did leave what was about the last comment in the chat kinda disrepecting Mayu and Haraguchi. My blood was boiling for the disrepect towards both band. @11:30 AM John P. Johnson Hazuki, Saki and Tamu make this band. They ought to form another band with a melodic singer like Mieux.
I'd like to seen the UNEDITED video version, because whoever cut this had absolutely no sense of what to show during the guitar solos. Missed opportunity.
This is the unedited version. I watched this live on Hulu and this was exactly how it aired. We can only hope that they actually have footage of everything they missed and that a better edit of their entire hour set comes out at some point.
I think I'm correct in saying that BAND-MAID were the first Japanese band in fifteen years since X-Japan to play Lollapalooza.
Yes that is true. 😀
the whole show is up, They were magnificent, and showed everyone , how it is done. A landmark event for them.

MISA MISA MISA ! Rolling Thunder !⚡⚡
That dfrum opening was a segue by Akane from the previous song, DICE. THE best band on the planet.
High energy Ladies........
Crappy camera direction (Damn Hulu), but at least you could hear it. The entire hour is on here somewhere. 😀
Just fantastic.

Fun fact: The title of the song refers to everyone on the internet’s feelings for the camera operator.
lol, and without the question mark :)
It's a shame that most people don't get that the hate should be directed at the actual director and not the camera people.

Hulu wasn't prepared to film Band Maid. 🤣

The secret of Japanese water? Talent + hours of rehearsal and a lot of will. They work in silence while many Western bands sleeps on their fame
Thanks Hops! Have a great day!

Agree. The director had a cheat sheet that said : drummer is special. To be fair they did adjust eventually.
This camera guy has obviously never delt with guitar and bass solos before. Makes sense considering today's popular music.
I mean, yeah, sure, we all love Akane, but dang ya gotta catch those solos! Nevertheless, a fantastic performance of Hate.
