    My aunt had her wedding reception in Eastcote house,
    I never understood why they knocked it down though, they've never done anything with the grounds.

    1950s Ruslip is like Ruislip now. The best thing about the place is that there are five train stations to get you out of there

    I lived in Ruislip in those times. Now it’s a foreign country of course (in this “great” “democracy” of ours).
    BTW. It’s pronounced lie-dow.
