Just incase people didnt get the mv. Pretty much Jay had fallen for the stylist/photographer pretty hard even though he just got out of a relationship(he says in the lyrics) and he keeps hoping that she says she is single, cause even though he meets tons of girls everywhere she has captivated him the most. Hoodys part she says that she is astounded someone like Jay likes her that much which he shows her through his sincerity and actions. She is not single, but she jf feeling things she has never felt before which contemplates her to explore these feelings and say she is single even though she isnt. Also Jay knows she isnt single as he talks about how his tells him no and his friends call him stupid for pursuing her(said in lyrics). At the end her BF is also named Jay and ends up calling her which she struggles to decide to answer or not which in the end Jay Park helps her decide :3

+ItsSunnyHere Like your description but in Hoodys part she lied like she was not single cause she was astounded or whatever the reason was. Even thinking from the song writer's aspect, it would be much more natural for the girl in the lyrics to be single rather than she feels like to cheat on the guy she is in relationship with.
