Thank you for this! I worked with Tiny quite a bit in the '80s, and can assure you he was the real deal. A world-class oddball to be sure, but so much more than that. Life on the road can be pretty rough, but I loved hanging with Tiny learning about the music of the '20s, '30s, '40s and more. The guy was Google before Google was created. Whenever any of us ventured from the hotels, Tiny was a great adventure companion, both for his high-maintainence personality and sense of fun.
Thank you so much for this comment - it means so much to hear stories such as this, that must have been such an incredible experience! Tiny was definitely a musical encyclopedia, and this TV special showcases that perfectly.

I've liked him for about a year now but I'm starting to archive stuff myself from the same stuff as Tiny Tim and so I never expected to learn SO MUCH from TT and all of his interviews. I subscribed to your channel because some months ago, I became interested in Tiny Tim. I was a big fan of 1990s WWE wrestling and Tiny made a guest appearance on “The King’s Court”-he was famous for starting the “Dairy Queen” chant when Jerry “The King” Lawler would appear. Of course, I heard of Tiny before because I worked as a recreation leader in nursing homes with elderly patients and they told me stories about him and his falsetto voice. And yes, I heard a brief snippet during his brief appearance. To me, the name Tiny Tim is synonymous with the word icon. Thanks for uploading this video-this is an absolute treat! I read in the book “Eternal Troubadour: The Improbable Life of Tiny Tim” that he taught himself how to play guitar and played it right handed. Watching him do this was great. Although I wasn’t born yet when he was in his prime, from listening and watching his performances, I have reason to believe that Tiny wasn’t given full credit for the talent that he had. It seemed like the audiences wanted to hear more his falsetto voice. Yet Tiny proved that he had a wide vocal range, he could play other instruments in addition to the ukulele, he could adapt his style to any genre of music, and most importantly, he knew how to keep his audience engaged. Yet my guess is that when he appeared on “Laugh In” singing in a falsetto voice-especially his iconic performance of “Tiptoe through the Tulips”-this became something that people expected of him. I have to say that his performance of “The Viper” was incredible-that was the first time I’ve heard ANYONE make the ukulele sound scary! Sounded more scary than on the original recording. Thanks so much again for this upload! God bless Tiny Tim ❤

Australia if you think about it was really backwards. They didn't get colour television until 1975. The US, Canada started to produce programs in colour as far back as the late 50s and most of western Europe by 1967 and 1968. And the Aussies 1975. hahahahahahaha
Unfortunately the track known as “Keystone Kapers” was hit by a copyright claim and the people who apparently own the track asked for the video to be taken down. As this video is of particularly special historic value, the decision was made to mute the section in which the track plays. I’m really sorry about this.
@@TinyTimFanatic misers eh..this video is absolutely beautiful. I love this musician. Some of his songs make me cry, that's how wonderfully emotive he can be..so people need to know it wasn't all silly voices. His second album is particularly emotive with some really personal and emotional songs on it..the man was a fantastic musician. What a shame that he was ripped off by his manger because he had enough money to last his lifetime and rather than worry to keep on paying the bills he could have played his music for passtime..life events can be cruel. He was a truly brilliant man. A beautiful soul. We were very fortunate he made music. Tho Kurt Cobain is a genius and others like that, but so was tiny Tim.

Did you play the ukulele left-handed and the guitar right-handed? 🤔
He could do both hands, he wanna use the 2 side of the brains and said that play the ukelele left-hand helped him migraines or something like that
Tiptoeing 49:40
Look at how innocent all this was. Today the schools want to teach those 8 year olds how to use a condom.
Very sad but true.
...and how to choose a gender 🤷♂️
Sorry but this is important, if Tiny knows more about yourself maybe was more happy about his sexuality without so much guilt
There's no sound
Oh I commented on this 2years ago..I don't even remember watching this..😂
Wheres the audio at start?
@40:10 this is the song that summons Nicolas Cage
