My grandson is in love with you! I put the Cocomelon on TV so I could watch you on the computer and he wanted to watch you. So he sat on my lap smiling at you for the longest time, he's 8 mos. old & loves a pretty girl. His name is Jonathan, but we affectionately call him Jon-Jon and he's a huge fan. 🥰 Love the new hair cut.
The “dirt” on the brass is actually patina. Clean the dirt - the black stuff - but leave the patina. The patina is soooo in with home design nowadays. You had something else that was brass - same thing applies. That is a tremendous find!!!
Went to a thrift store today with my mother in law (we are visiting for Thanksgiving) where you pay by the height of the bag. Fill your bag, squish it down, they measure it and you pay by how tall it is. I spent $8 for 20 pieces! Just had to share with a thrifter who would appreciate it!
In one of the Houston Outlets, they ran out of merchandise on Saturday. No rotations. They were waiting on a Semi, that didn't show up. They had 3 semi's in the parking lot that were empty:(
In Akron, Ohio, there is a Goodwill Outlet Store right next to the retail side of Goodwill. The last time that went to the Akron, Ohio, Goodwill Outlet store was on May 2 of this year, and I’ve got a lot of nice books there! As for clothing, I could only find scarves and purses.
I found a 1970s paperback book at the bins. I thought the cover was cute and had an interesting title. Turns out it was super rare and sold within a day for more than the cost of my entire haul!
I’ve been using a fountain pen for 60 years. Got a beautiful Waterman on ShopGoodwill. I gave a Parker to my 12-year-old granddaughter, and she loves it.

My craziest recent bins find is an Akubra felt hat! I know absolutely NOTHING about hats except that they can sometimes be expensive, so when I saw one marked "pure fur felt", I figured it might be worth thirty bucks and grabbed it. Turns out, comps are in the $100-sh range! 😱

I love when you ladies get to thrift together! I love the tid bit about stamping the paper bags with the thank you stamp. I use clean paperbags for filler in my boxes all the time. I'm gonna start stamping them.

It always shocks me what you find at the bins. I was always under the impression that if it didn’t sell at the regular Goodwill than it was just junk that went to the bins. Every time I see your bins videos, I wish we had one in our state. The nearest Goodwill outlet is a 2-hour drive away and I don't own a car so I'd have to rent one to go there!
Our bins are horrible last few times, I came with 4 things, I use thank you stamp on my shipping labels, last time two Haiti scooped out the whole bin right next to me
Went to my nearest bins a few days after Halloween and a heaping bin of NIP Halloween costumes came out. What a mad dash, people were tossing them everywhere. My daughters and I did manage to snag a few each.

My surprise sales Si and Am 2016 Lady and the Tramp Disney Sketchbook Ornament picked it because I liked it and I did not have my readers with me that day and I think the ornament was a dollar so you can not say no to a dollar sold it for 175 I think and it went to Austria . Designer Signed Elizabeth Taylor Avon Sea Shimmers Koi Fish Pin Brooch again I could not read teh back of it and if I could have I probably would not have bought it at savers I think they were asking 7 dollars and I bought it for me because I was giving up a few of my goldfish that grew too big for my aquarium that piece went to China via a shipping company in delware sold for 175 my piece was missing the little dangle jewel. Picked up a tabloid paper from the 90's about batboy I found nothing that day at the thrift and I was just about to leave when I sw the paper and thought oh my I always wanted to read that but I always way to cheap to spend money on tabloids back in the day . Asked the girl how much and she said .25 cents and thought for kicks and giggles sure . When I did comps at home I was shocked ... skeptical thinking the sales I was seeing was money laundering scheme ,... I listed it for 100 buy it now for 250 I immediately started getting views and one guy offered me 175 but wanted me to ship it special ... I freaked I was just planning on shipping it in tyvel usps envelope. Took the listing down to think about it the guy hounded me for weeks. Listed it again at 250 he again offered me 175 ..I accepted and spent 26 dollars on acid free poster board and pool noodles /// he was very happy at my packing and gave me good feedback ... SO yeah I am always open minded when thrifting I like what lavendarclothes line says know quality by sight and feel and do sold comps on what you find. I triple love that brass ruler

I NEVER take off the patina on any of my metals....Some people LOVE the patina... If someone wants it shiny, Brasso is super easy.
