Review: Jakhu Ropeway of Shimla

Himachal Watcher was invited to review the newly opened Jakhu Ropeway after a week of its inauguration. The invitation fuelled our curiosity to take look at the project that remained in controversies and took a long time to be operational. We paid a visit talked to the officials and captured visuals of machinery, operation room, and view of Shimla from ropeway. The concerned company officials assured that it‘s safe and visitors would not face any inconvenience in the journey uphill or downhill.

It's a nice addition to my city but the thing is local people just walk up to the temple in 20 mins from the ridge and it's a health check if u can walk up great, if not, ropeway is an amazing thing too :)

Yes 2007 mein ye ropeway nahi tha. .coz we were there in July 2007 as newly couple...
We will be there now this summer. ..I just love shimla as this was our honeymoon point

I think more & more modernization is not good. Visiting at spiritual places, we should have to do some effort. The natural feeling got lost. Believe in simplicity and love nature and stop doing unneccessary struggles. This is true way of living.
