Great to see you found something that you're not only happy and comfortable with, but is actually performing as it should without all the frustration the Slash was you( and apparently a few others as well) Cheers mate
Thanks for the heads up on the slash. Was thinking about getting one, the look phenomenal. But as you say here, often, the simplest designs work the best. Keep sending bro. 🤘🏼
So surprised you bought a Canyon Torque! Even more surprised you like it so much and you're bombing down on it! Massive speed! I got a Torque Mullet too for this season and as you said it is nicely quiet and I really enjoy the massive clearance to the seat with 200mm dropper. I don't run a double crown fork like you but I upgraded to a 180mm Zeb Ultimate and it makes me just going faster and faster over rough stuff!! 😅🤘
I'm so glad to see you're impressed with the Torque! I got 1 a couple of months ago and absolutely love it! Totally agree that the reach is a bit long for jibbing and doing tricks but it's incredibly stable for smashing DH laps.
my brother got one second hand with a rear shock with bushings worn to the point the bike knocked. someone also put super cheap downhill forks on the front that had like 30mm travel and he refused to fix it
Torque is a versatile bike too, I have mine setup completely different, full 29, 200mm dropper, air shock and fox 38. I pedal it on all local trails and shuttle gravity. Had it 12 months and love it.
Great video as usual mate 👍👍 , glad the Canyon went well for you & quite often the KISS principle works best 😜 Yeah I’m all for new tech as a moto mechanic by trade but I generally 99%of the time won’t get the first of any model as they always have teething problems . The problems with the Slash should 💯 have been sorted in R&D , they really dropped the ball on this one 🙄
would love to see you on a transition spire. full 29er enduro bike but still really playful and climbs well for a bike of its size. also they absoulutley rip, just smashes through stuff. think youd like it if you like the linkage on the canyon. no idlers or high pivots or anything like that. just a simple design that works really well
I give a month before you snap something on it, but at least the chain stays on! Lol. I think you found a mate for awhile in this one. She is gorgeous. You deserved more time on the Tour de Gnar vid. I liked your POV better. Felt like i was there.
DUAL CROWN: I am thinking about putting a Fox 40 on my 2023 Specialized Enduro. What do I need to keep in mind in getting bar height correct? I might put the cascade link on it to increase rear travel to 180mm. Does it feel unbalanced with the difference in travel 200/180? I plan to run 29” rear wheel.
Cheers for the video, it was sick. Will you do a wrap up of your favorite bikes at the end of the year? You’re riding so many I can’t remember which ones you liked most. 👍🏽
That is not Surprised.... Canyon is so much Better than the Trek Bike!!!I Ride for Years Canyon and never Changed!I Love the Simple Technique, that Works ever ...And Your Set up on the Tourque is so Nice...In German we say:"Ein Absolutes Geiles Baller Bike"!!!!Ride On 🤙👽
@@LewisBuchanan that's cool! I almost never get any riding in because it constantly rains or is extremely hot. It's always one or the other. I mean, they don't ban riding when it's hot outside, but it's definitely not fun to ride in the heat.
Do you worry about the head-tube being up to the consequences of fitting a dual crown 40 fork? Perhaps Canyon say this is OK with the warranty? Only asking due to your previous frame experiences, even with the correct suspension. A head-set fail the way you ride is’nt about the frame warranty 😂
Think I remember canyon marketing it being fully dual crown certified and this is how it’s ridden at rampage as well. That is the fully 27.5 though but why would there be a difference 😉
@@LewisBuchanan keep bike long. Longer bikes tend to be more stable at speed and you ride DH bike so that's good. Try shorter stem if you can if not give yourself a few rides. Your brain will adjust
I’m stumped on his issue with the chain popping off. I’m a trek employee and I’ve had my new slash for 2 months and the chain hasn’t dropped once. I think Lewis just got a bad egg which is unfortunate to see.
Had my Torque AL for around 18 months and going great so far.

Thanks a bunch

I hope you were able to get your money back on that Trek! Love these trails, would like to ride them someday!
I ALMOST got that bike. Ended up buying a demo Santa Cruz nomad. Curious to see about the torque!
🙌🏽🙌🏽
Glad you finally found a bike without any issues, and super excited for the Quebec videos!
Oh yup
It's a sweet looking rig for sure. The white with gold decals look 🤌

You know they built a whole track just to help pronounce Dyfi properly 😂
Quality vid as always man 🤙🏻
I did see that haha! Thanks
@@LewisBuchanankeep it up lad, good to see a different take on bikes from a high level rider who isn’t paid to say nice things about their bike.

Great video!!!! Where were you staying?
Thanks! It’s in the description of the video
Can't see it mate?
Since following you this is my favorite bike you've had so far!
Nice

Hey’ I have no idea sorry. 200mm fork on this feels stable and good
Hows the drivetrain ? .......you never mentioned if the chain came off on this one ....lmao cool vid cool bike dude
Drivetrain was perfect haha
Cheers for the video, it was sick.

Yes I probably will! Thanks
You think you'll ever try a commencal? I ride a clash and would love to see how you feel about them
As I said on the build video Lew, it’s my fav of your bikes so far, but is it yours? Your comments in the video seem to indicate you love it! 🤘🏻
Good stuff!! You might want to get some spare headset parts for the trip, I've heard about headsets failing quickly on these.
🙌🏽
Can you do a video on the Hayes on your bikes?

Man love your channel and your opinions. Since Torque and Spindrift are two freeride bikes which one would you choose?
Thanks! I’d chose the canyon
“Preride, Reride, Freeride”. Glad the new sleds started off being promising. Shall be watching to see how it goes 🎉
💪🏽
See if you can try an Atherton bike while at dyfi. They might have one spare for you to try. Bike looks epic also 💪
That would be cool
@LewisBuchanan ask for Alex she will sort you out with a AM200 💪
Are you running the Fork @ 200? im currently running a 180mm ZEB but considering going to 190 to lift the front some more
Fork at 200
A good bike at last. Hope it gets better with more riding and tuning.
Hopefully haha
Out of curiosity why have you gone for the torque and not the sender. also great video!
Wanted a bike I can ride for enduro too by swapping the fork out! Thanks
How do you find the Hayes Dominions? Coming from someone who normally rides Shimano brakes.
Really like them! Would highly recommend
is there any risk running the dual crown with the top tube?
Eh I don’t think so. Seen canyon riders do it a bunch on their torques
But with other brands yes sometimes
What a place to christen your rig! Soo stoked to see you smiling again on a ride dude 🤘❤️🌈🕊️🌎
Thanks man
Any idea what its like to peddle?
Beautiful bike.
💪🏽
Nice video as always 🙌
Thanks
Is this the Osmo Action 4 you are using? Because the quality looks sick
Yup! Camera is awesome
Can you give me your tire details? Tread and casing? Thanks!
Delium versatile! Google them! All info is there
Looking to get a forbidden dreadnought and whack a triple clamp on the front they look pretty sick and look way more capable
Nice
cool videos dude, big inspiration
Thanks appreciate that
I am surprised you are able to ride when it is wet on the trails. Here in Georgia, they ban riding on wet trails.
Yeah we can ride all year round here

Canyon Bikes these day’s are just on another level 😎
Good so far eh
When was you there?
Couple weeks back
Canyon sure know how to make a bike ride and look good

No idea. I’ve seen canyon riders use dh fork on torque
I didn’t looked it up but I think there’s a version of the torque with an dual crown fork stock.?
Think I remember canyon marketing it being fully dual crown certified and this is how it’s ridden at rampage as well. That is the fully 27.5 though but why would there be a difference 😉
100% they say it’s fine it’s built to same class as the sender and designed for either single or dual crown forks.
This cannyon is better than that trek for sure 👌🏻

Just got a torque my self it run better than your slash?
Sick! Works at least ahah
bro the torque is so sexy😍
Unreal huh

Oh yup
