The title perfectly captures my thoughts on religious people that find comfort in belief. I’m autistic, and therefore very “if I can’t see it, I don’t believe it”. I envy those who can have faith in their God, or whoever they follow- and find comfort in believing that things will get better for them as long as they don’t lose that faith. I’d do anything to have a symbol of hope in my life, a reason to keep believing things will get better; to think there’s a higher power out there that cares for me and my life as a person, and that I’ll have somewhere to go after death.. To feel that I belong simply because I am. Religion is a beautiful thing in my opinion, and once again I am truly envious of those who “cannot see, but still believe.”
Religion is a form of escapism that God gave people who are too weak to accept reality. Do not feel bad, but feel proud of not belonging to that herd. Stay strong and shape your life in the image of what a lesser man would pray for, little by little, you are the only one with the power to do so. Take solace in the true understanding of your finality that you have been blessed with, allow it to make you appreciate every moment of your journey even more. Embrace your pain and turn it into something great.
I really like your style lots of dark were light hides in the shadow it really draws me in and makes my imagination go crazy it reminds me when I would get lost in a fractal program jwildfire and apophysis were I made my icon from , I can't draw but will be getting some supplies in a week ....wish me luck

Those that can do (especially things as such) are profoundly blessed. Minus the need to believe in order to be blessed. As blessings are spiritual in nature. Something that cannot be bought or sold......by anyone.

I love your work do you ever wear a filter mask? Would charcoal dust everyday for years affect your lungs? I was a professional artist since the 1970s and now I have some health problems maybe some from exposure but I worked 8 hours a day for many years when was young and didn't think much about taking precautions so I just thought I'd put it out there for something to think about probably not much to worry about with charcoal but after many years of exposure would it be a problem?
