i see this and this makes me remember of a best friend who passed away from chiari malformation 6 months ago.. RIP Max. youre forever missed and forever loved
Watching you read her the book in the waiting room was so incredibly beautiful. You were the epitome of a strong, warrior, loving mother. Your beautiful girl has a wonderful example in her life!
This is the first video I have ever commented on.... You are an amazingly strong mom, dad and young lady. I had decompression March of 2015. I was 34. It’s hard so hard but I couldn’t imagine waiting while my child goes through that. We recently found out our 10yr has Chiari also. We are not yet contemplating decompression for her. Your family is an inspiration and your daughter is my hero.
I have hydrocephalus and I've been having brain surgeries my whole 41 years. Thank you for filming this; I appreciate anything that gives me insight into how it was for my parents when I was little. You're all so strong, and your daughter is adorable
I’m so happy I found you guys I don’t really see much families on UA-cam that is surrounded by chiari. I got diagnosed with it in 2016 and had decompression surgery the same year. Almost 10 months post op and going strong
I’m a few years late but sometimes I don’t understand why other people dislike these types of videos but they are still crying there eyes out I have you guys in my prayers good bless everyone in the world and this family
She is such a strong girl! I also have Chiari Malformation type 1 with the syrinx I had my surgery in December 2017 , just came across your video and wanted to say that I’m glad to hear she is okay and it’s good to see that you are educating others about Chiari
God Bless your sweet Delilah! I cried during this entire video. I pray that the surgery works and holds up! I had this surgery at the age of 18 which was 15 years ago. What a brave little girl you have and you are amazing for documenting this. When I had my surgery Chiari was not well know. I was in a car accident that aggravated it and my symptoms became worse. I am praying for you guys!
I'm a couple years late but I'm so glad everything went ok. That's a really big surgery, especially for such a young child. This really tugged at my heart strings. I hope everything's still ok.
Oh my gosh this girl is such a nice sweet adorable brave and strong girl I'm super glad she's fine and doing good right now you guys are so Lucky to have this girl she's lovely😍

Y’all are so brave, especially Delilah! I can’t get over how adorable and sweet she is, despite being in a scary place feeling new and scary feelings. Much love- Katie
I have had 13 surgeries all before I was even 7 years old (16 now and just past the 10 year mark of no surgeries) I actually have a slight chiari and I have MRI's to check up on it. I've never had to have a surgery to it (as far as I understand), but I cannot imagine what it must be like to have to go through that with a little girl. I know this is kinda late but I hope Delilah continues to do good with the post-surgery process and living with Chiari. She's so brave and adorable. Love your family btw I've watched 3 of your videos (I just found y'all) and I think you're a pretty awesome family. Stay strong! ^-^

It's absolutely incredible watching this video and realizing how far you and your family have come, Alyssa. You're starting a new nurse job, Winter is almost the age Delilah was in this video (probably a little older). I'm sooo proud of you. You've overcame so much, and have learned so much more. Love seeing you evolve and grow. LOVE YOUUUU. Can't wait to see what the future brings
Your family is cute and cheerful for the situation! You and your husband are great parents and your little girl is so brave! I'm so happy she's doing good and that the surgery went well. As a younger person who's had multiple surgeries, I applaud your calmness and support of your child during this difficult time!
I just had my gallbladder surgery on Thursday in the middle of the night they kept me in the hospital until Saturday morning then went home then I started my period I never had surgery like this before I have four stiches including one one my belly button I made myself get up and walk around but it hurts so much Hoping your beautiful daughter gets well soon
Ally Greyson Yes but not to lift anything I ended up back in the hospital last Friday :( I found out I had a infection kidney and a bruised right rib I am doing so much better
She's so brave and cute! I've had brain surgery too but for a different thing. Then my incision got infected so had to have another surgery to clean the infection out. I had this ugly scar on my head, which my hair is now grow over
POOR GIRL, SHE IS SOOOOO STRONG AND BRAVE, THANK GOD SHE SURVIVED,SUCH A SWEET LITTLE GIRL, WHISH EVERYONE WHOS GOING THROUGH SURGERY OR ANY MEDICINE THE BEST,STAY STRONG, PRAYER💪😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏!!!!!
This scares me all the time. I remember almost every second of the three times I had surgery. Even though I knew I was going to be asleep, it was terrifying every time. This is a lot worse than what I had, but I still understand. I always will. Good job, Delilah, for being so brave :)
I just found your channel! She is so strong I have Chiari type 1 too and I had Arnold decompression surgery in October and ever since I’ve been in so much pain! Hope she recovered fast x
Oh god I remember when I had my surgery, about a month before hers haha. And being 16, I had a horrible time with it, I cannot even imagine Delilah's struggle, being a little one dealing with this. Lots of love and luck to you guys!
Going to have surgery in two days, very uplifting for an adult like me.. in tears for the child and the parents, much love and may God always keep you safe.

I also have a chiari and I think it's impairing the motor skills in my right hand. It takes a lot more strain and effort to use it than my left and it's hard to control individual fingers and I can't lay it flat. However, they said they don't want to operate on me again if they don't have to but they noticed that when they did my spine MRI (I was treated for scoliosis). Have had this surgery 2 times. My 14 yr old son had his last may. My 25 year old daughter had hers a year ago may. Hard wstching kids go through it. Mini Ninja33 You're welcome. 💜
Have had this surgery 2 times. My 14 yr old son had his last may. My 25 year old daughter had hers a year ago may.
Hard wstching kids go through it.
My son had a lot of pain spent 2 days in the icu. 3 days on the floor. Is doing really well now. I hope and pray your daughter is still doing well.God bless you all.
wouldn't it be nice if no one ever had to have surgery
Does wisdom teeth removal count as a surgery?
