Exactly ! but sadly this is the world of the elitist art world collector. As an art collector of modest means, unfortunately, it has degraded the whole field of art as it creates a false view of what is or what isn't in the eyes of the masses. 95% of art in my opinion over the many years is atrocious and a scam and money laundering with little merit as true ART. There are many great artists if not more just as deserving of the spotlight for ART'S sake if not more than that art of the elitist's Freeport vaults, and Ulustreas Gallery's/Exobitions and the like.
Such a shame when art is only recognised due to its monetary value... ( ever wonder why, when you walk past a Gagosian or other white wall gallery there maybe 1 or 2 people in it !?? ) meanwhile the masses walk past on the street....
Your work is very beautiful. !!! Though I can't see the relevance of bacon. ?? His stuff seems , to me at least , full of shallow trench "drama darling"
What can you expect from a Gagosian director but the price of art and not the art itself, which sad to say was junk. cBrown was great earlier but like all artists went where the money is.
I don't agree that these works are junk, but not everyone may enjoy them . Each person has their own tastes. Since I shall never have even a fraction of the price for a Cecily Brown painting, I don't care how someone else spends their money.💰🤑💸
No problem talking about art as an asset, but please don't make your consensus ladder🪜 so transparent. Some of us have a well developed eye and can smell the BS a mile away. Brown isn't the next Picasso.

It’s Gagosian. It’s only about the money. Not one word about oil, influence or vision…. Sad really.
