Sophie Cookson plays Christine Keeler in the series. The scandal when it emerged nearly destroyed Harold Macmillan's government.

the public face of a woman and a mother are very rarely the same, they seem to be able to be two people at once, as for Christine it must have been hell in public, the courts, the press the full weight of the establishment crushing one woman and destroying her future then she managed to be a very caring happy mother who gave nothing but love and caring attention and shielded her son from the worst of the British system,
she was greater than all the forces that beat her down.
