I bought and enjoyed the 3 non-fiction books in audio-book form, as I like the listen to the man himself. Nice way to pass your time on long flights.
Me too! Well, one book, Philosophy of Sailing, but yes, I like to listen to Christian's voice.
My body is old and broken, my dreams are long dead but mind races to complete the pictures painted by Christian. I can see, hear and feel his yarns in my mind’s eye. Thank you for sharing your experiences and thoughts Christian

Nonsense- there's still dreams to be chased even in your 90s. I had a client friend his name was Peter. He would still dash around the tennis court chasing old ladies and had a lust for life right to the end
I happened upon this channel by accident and immediately taken back to my childhood sailing with my family and my grandfather on the Ottawa River. Countless hours spent on the river and running through the boats on the hard being chased and put to work by my grandfather and tales of his time in the RCN. He passed away. We moved away. The good time slowly faded. Seeing Christian and listening to him takes me back 35+ years. I would love to have the chance to sail and talk with my grandfather again. Christian brings me that one step closer. Thank you. (Apologies for the length, I am Canadian after all)

I agree with you. I found his video about a year ago and I find it very relaxing so much that sometimes I fall asleep and think that I’m a sailor crossing the ocean and a beautiful sailboat that I’ve built myself over many years. Someday I hope I will get a chance to sail with somebody even if it’s for a few days, I would enjoy that very much, my merry Christmas and a happy new year

Just finished "Philosophy of Sailing". Fantastic writing and a truly enjoyable read. A delight! Downwind and a bit of pleasant surfing on some philosophical swells. Super stuff!
Another good video. Because of your videos, I found Sailing in a bigger way than I knew it before I knew sailing in a smaller way,…it’s complicated. But, watching your first video to Hawaii…well, I became a big fan. In fact, I finally got to be captain of a law-enforcement boat where I worked in in the San Francisco Bay. In fact, not too long ago, I was down in Long Beach taking a basic mariner course when I recognized the marina I was training in. We took a break from training and ate at a popular restaurant next to the club where your boat is birthed. Using credentials I’m not supposed to use for personal investigation I managed to find my way down to your boat, but luckily I did not find you. In hindsight, meeting those you look up to is often a disappointment, but also stalking charges suck too. Anyway, I’m retired as of last week and moving back to Maine where I grew up. I will be purchasing a sailboat around 40 feet, exploring the Atlantic coast. Thank you for enlightening me to Sailing. It’s been a lifesaver. I only wish I took advantage of the sailing opportunities I had as a kid, but you just don’t know any better…until you do. No more complicated! Thanks again.

Hello Christian...l hit your channel couple month and it could be even year...l would like say Thank you so much for informations and documentary films that you share , l bough a boat about 3 years ago more then sailing l doing work on it , but yes also sailing short sail ( Weekend days) as l still have to work , but one day l will follow your path ...l keep deep respect for you , many thanks for everything you doing and show it to public....l wish calm Christmas and Happy New Yea....cordially Henry

I started learning to sail in May and stumbled upon your channel soon after. I started listening to the audiobook of Introduction to Sailing when I was running (your oratory rhythm is perfect for zone 2 training). I’ve since been listening to Philosophy of Sailing on my commute to work and I’m now on Alone Together. If you haven’t brought out another audiobook by the time I finish, I’ll just have to start again. But I certainly wish you would bring out another audiobook. Or a dozen.

Oh Christian! Another new sole! Didn’t you learn your lesson on your E32? Well, I’ve been down the same road myself, replacing the sole on my E32-3. But unlike you my boat is down for it’s long winter’s nap and not sitting in some warm slip. Merry Christmas, Happy New year and see you on EYO!

Brings back good memories of listening to your books while working on an old sailboat, mostly alone, at an old marina in an industrial part of Southampton where once the Spitfire was built. Saw I didn't have "Introduction to Sailing" yet in my Audible library; I do now.
Rarotonga is among great story. Highly recommend.

Christian, I just love your videos, and was hooked by your first one, "Alone Together" and have watched all of them. Each one is unique and relatable, not to mention fabulous video, and commentary. I too have sailed solo to Hawaii in the Single Handed Trans Pac of 2016. What an adventure, but you sum it so well and eloquently, in your videos, I feel like you were with me;) Time to read NOT listen to your books! Happy Holidays
