You don’t need weaker glass for it to break more. The titanum is not as flexible as aluminium so it does not allow the glass to blend with it, that’s why it breaks. The frame is stronger yet the glass can’t withstand it as it gets more stressed when it’s bend.

No, the glass breaking is because of the titanium, there is a reason why titanium is not used in phone construction, and that's because it would make the phone dramatically more expensive, and a purely aluminum frame would be stronger than a composite of aluminum and titanium like in the iPhone 15 pro Max. Never use multiple materials unless you're in very unique specific circumstances like aviation.

Last year the chip alone (not the motherboard) costed over $100 to manufacture. Materials are generally the cheaper part of phones. And also Apple loves profit, of course they are going to price their phone significantly more than manufacturing costs.

Apparently the screen scratches easier from every day use compared to older iPhones! Pretty much learned that the hard way as I now have a very deep scratch on my IPhone 15 Pro screen from a tiny grain of sand in my pocket and never had that issue with my old IPhone 8 that had quite a few tiny scratches that were normally not visible and were only visible when the display was off under extremely bright light.
Maybe Apple gave you one that breaks easily so it can break the internet while the rest of their phones stronger so people can think it’s not a bad phone. If that’s the case, great promo ngl 😂

This coincidentally happens that Apple is lowering back glass repair to $200 (perhaps in anticipation of more cracked phones this year). I am not sure the price with Apple Care.
$25 with AppleCare. The repair cost is lowered because of the design change to separate the glass from the metal backplate, which makes it easier to repair.

That was a mystake to implement back made in glass due to the flexibility of the titanium, the most suitable back was titanium itself.
