I have played the game for years, but now you have me reconsidering how I spend my time micromanaging things that likely do not matter.
Thanks for your feedback...I used to spend hours micromanaging...for the same amount of success...it's just interesting. Out of necessity the way I play the game had to change.
On training: I have the assistant set the schedule, but I often tweak it. Currently I have a team with poor cohesion, so I add in team bonding and match review sessions to bump it up some. I also sometimes intervene in individual training, usually for player happiness reasons.
Most of your other tips are pretty much what I do, though I do like to browse the data center every now and then to look at how my team stacks up against the rest of the league. Often this will inform my transfer priorities, sometimes it suggests a tactical tweak.
Spot on comment....Everything really depends on how much time you have...playing in a slow fashion used to do all things....now I do what I need to do to save time. I used to also prepare for big games in training ...games like finals and play offs...now it's all about time.
Thanks Phil, I shall certainly look at this game more differently and maybe enjoy it a bit more.

@@fm-oldmanphil you didn't touch on the tactics part of the save, what tactics is best to progress quicker and win matches as well...
@@joshuakartha5036 these are 5 things you don't need to do....there are 2 or 3 things you need to do...one would be a good tactic....there is so much on the channel already on how to build a good tactic mate.

Hi Phil can u help me out with how to load up African teams other than South Africa. I also have this issue in Asia can't load Thai teams either. Is this normal
Yup it is a problem! Unfortunately all the leagues around the world are not loaded into Football Manager. They add leagues when they feel there might be a demand for them...for example the Japan leagues have been added just this year.
For other leagues which have no databases in the game, someone needs to create an add on for that particular country.
Try FM scout for new databases and sortitoutsi.net
They will have the most up to date addon databases. I had a quick look around and saw Uganda in the list
@fm-oldmanphil ah OK I was going to try a pentagon challenge and saw some people managed team from Tunisia etc thought it was just something I was doing wrong lol

@@Paddy--T33 very possible....doing a boiled down version as a save on UA-cam at the moment....been in Indonesia, Japan, south Africa and now brazil...In this one I need to win 3 Champions leagues and the european CL in 25 years.
