Trailblazer ss no crank no start

Truck stalled while driving and would not restart or even crank. Noticed some weird issues with the check engine light and reduced engine power light acting strange at the same time and a failed shift interlock that once in park I couldn’t get back out. Found the ignition switch at fault. Swapped it out and all is good with the world

Mike Schultz not sure. Only made the video and posted it a short time ago. This is such a high failure item that guys joke about carrying a spare in the glove box.

hey man having the same problem, mines a 08 was driving perfectly fine then got off on highway exit & just died on me at the stop light. would turn on for about 5-6 seconds then die again. took it home, did the same thing as you switched the ignition switch & now it just cranks but won’t start. any advice ?

guss 9 check the main relay in the fuse block under the hood. You’ll see 2 larger relays right next to eachother in the box (Atleast on my 06) the one towards the outside is the main relay. Also, check ground g109 it’s position is the passenger side front cylinder head. If you have a k&n air filter kit the bracket it comes with will use that bolt hole as a mounting point and can loosen up causing a no spark issue.

Also. Don’t forget to check the usuals too like fuses, spark, and fuel pressure. Scan for codes too.
