Hello Edgar I have a set of these Voks Jagger IIs and I really like them. I am a bout a mid front gripper and gripped at the back of the bumpy bit and these were flying great for me. I found them to be about the most grippe darts I have ever had. you can group your darts . so I was wondering if you had any of the points on these darts get stuck in the grippe bumps and stop? I lost 7 60s in one match because the points were getting stuck in the bumps on the dart that was already in the 60 and stopping the dart dead, or flipping it sideways to the board and they fell to the floor. So I stopped using them. Too bad because I really liked them.
Hi Matt, could you do a video on the effects of different flight shapes? You mention about the stability of a standard flight in the air, would be interested in hearing about other types
Powerpoint Point. They were meant to help with bounce outs that the point would enter the board and then the dart behind it would push them into the board. More of a novelty than anything else
Have you ever tried playing with the old 'Jim Pike' darts? Big old brass barrels, thick cane shafts and paper flights. Although in the early 70s we replaced the flights with the 'new plastic flights' As kids down the pub we couldn't afford tungsten in those days, so the old JP's were the heaviest alternative. No chance of a 180 though as two darts would completely fill the 'bed.' Mind you there was no chance of a 180 anyway, the way we played😁. Liked and subscribed.👍
As Adam said they are from Volks Darts in the USA and they are called Jagger II the original Jagger darts had all of the grippi bump parts in a stereight line, the Jagger IIs have every 2nd row of gripi bumps offset by I think it is 37 deg. They are actually great darts I have a set of them in my collection. The moveable point is to prevent bounce outs theory is if you hit a wire the point will stop at the wire and the dart then hitting the point will drive the point past the wire and into the board. The other advantage is that the loose point is that the dart can spin on the point and allow flights to rotate out of the way of incoming darts and the dart has some mobility to move for the next dart to come in beside the first. They come in the moveable spring loaded steel point, a Fulcrum point that is moveable point not spring loaded, and a spring loaded soft tip, and fixed point steel tip. models. I really liked these darts they are well balanced and are the most grippy darts I have ever thrown. I was throwing well with then but I had a problem with them in that when I put a dart close enough to another dart like when going for a 180, the point would ride down the side of the dart and get stuck in the grip bumps and stop dead and fall or flip sideways against the board and fall on the floor. I lost 7 60s in one match because of it and stopped throwing the Jagger II darts that I really liked because of it.
Hi Matthew. Cheers from Canada eh. I’m surprised no one has heard of the hammerhead dart. Bottelsen makes them now but they may have been patented by someone else. I’m not sure. The spring loaded tip is meant to help when the tip hits the dead centre of the wire, it will retract slightly and then push forward again choosing one side of the wire or the other. A kind of second chance. Anyways love the channel Matthew. Keep up the good work and NEVER let an opponent psych you out. You can’t beat up someone that you think is tougher than you.
Hi matt great show as always I feel another Edgar TV topic coming up what is the difference in stems some play with short medium or long some are plastic some are metal is it just players preference or is there something actually in it cheers mate
I've thought about this a lot. And I've come to the conclusion that (most) throw with their right arm and to help not wear out that arm as fast you would retrieve the darts with your left arm/hand. I started doing this and I found I like it
They called Voks Jagger II. You can get them on eBay for round about 80£ 😁 The shop called "BitofBully Darts". The brand of the Ryan "Relentless" Joyce dart
You're not too bad at darts mate. Keep going. Keep that elbow high 👍🏼😜
The dartboard looks like its on a spring as well lol the spring test
Was that little bits of weed i spied on those scales 🤣

Darts review channels best for that
He’s not the best for anything
I used to have a set of darts where you could change the barrel!!! From metal to black plastic!!!
Your board is wobbly, never mind the tips.
the spring loaded points are a heritage from the age of round and stapled wire boards.
the idea was to decrease bounceouts on the wire.
That does look like the Voks Jagger II or Voks Jager - that's the brand I play with! They make wonderful and unique sets!

Thanks for the info !
With a 30g-Barrel you would nail it through the board 😂
I believe they are manufactured by Voks Darts, a US maker

Like going to the fair ground darts are huge but yet only weigh 8 gram
I can also play with any dart. also, there's the new dart effect, which lets you think you just found the holy grail the first minutes.
I may have to do some research into these and get a set for a review

Matthew: “they do have a Taylor feel to th-“ LAdarts caller: “ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY”
Mate of mine had a set of springy point darts. They still bounced out and felt odd with loose points.

A "square" dart? Send for Glenn :)
My old man used to have a set of these!! Any chance I can buy them off you 😂
There not mine I’m afraid
Hello, hey can u tell us why pdc players pick up darts from board with left hand if they throw with right why that?
I imagine because they need them in their left hand to hold before they put them in the right hand to throw
I've thought about this a lot. And I've come to the conclusion that (most) throw with their right arm and to help not wear out that arm as fast you would retrieve the darts with your left arm/hand. I started doing this and I found I like it
Lets wait edgar, will u tell us? 🙂
I would say not to cut their hand on a wire. But as for Taylor because he always had his hand in his pocket. So maybe just a habit
You can throw with the fork even
Edgar army
I watched up until the 2:40 mark, then you said "scollop" which made me hungry, and I left to have a nosh...
Nosh means something different where I’m from
@@Edgartvdarts He didn't specify exactly what he was hungry for. 😉
@@Edgartvdarts I would have left the video too. If I were getting that kind of Nosh!
Funky darts. Who is the manufacturer?
Just spotted VOKS in the comments

Volks Jagger II Darts search Volks Darts and order directly from them.
Love it 👍
Look a little like those voks darts.
Yeah I think that’s who makes then
@@Edgartvdarts correct, they are VOKS. I was after buying them from John just out of curiosity as to how they were!
