since you’re going to talk about bugged versions of perks, you should know that when tinkerer was first reworked, there was a bug where if you had tinkerer level 2 (and level 2 only), after you trigger the undetectable once you were permanently undetectable for the rest of the match. I had a great time playing double iri meyers and perma tier3 myers on lerys
U are forgetting something about "Any means"... Back in the days once u started to pick up the pallet, killers weren't able to broke it. So u could be picking up and cancelling over and over again, making the killer to turn all around you
This video brought back so much nostalgia. i've been playing since michael came out and expierenced a lot of these, and it was hell compared to the pampering that all the players get today, but thats what made it good.
23 There was also a huge unfair bug with a new concept of tinkerer which made a killer completely silent for the whole game after first gen was made to 80%, luckily they repaired it quickly
MFTs 3% Haste is only a tiny number on the surface. Killers have 110 or 115% movement speed so you're changing the cathch-up speed of 15% to 12 or 10 to 7 which is puts the impact of the speed boost into the proper perspective and shows how obviously broken it is when players are on a similar skill level and get anywhere from 1/5 to 1/3 more time until they are caught up with when running, which is basically only the time inbetween windows and pallets.
Oh man, old saboteur. When I would play with my friend, he would take the time to 99 basically half the hooks on one side of the map, and just like mentioned break ‘em in the killer’s face. It was so nasty while it was around
Remeber the old " We are gonna live for ever" where we could get 200% more bloodpoints, especially on release date where we got the Summer bonus of like 200/300% (not sure) and everyone put a 100% and we were farming like millions of bloodpoints
Dude spoke chill was crazy. Completely countered all stealth killers and made you faster in chase. Paired with resilience you would vault windows at Mach Jesus
Fun fact about CoH vs Self-Care, when they nerfed Self-Care, they didn't nerf CoH, which meant (ignoring boats to healing speed) Self-Care would heal at 0.35 c/s while CoH healed at 0.5 c/s
With the 2 vs 8 game mode coming up, I was brainstorming what 8 survivor team could beat the entity/killers. I only got six so far: ash, the four resident evil survivors, and the silent hill survivor. And don't know who to put for the last two. Vice versa I was thinking of cool killer pairings wether by aesthetics or lore
I played 6 years ago, and I rmbr almost all of these. This video made me realize how appreciative I am of the game now even though it’s still broken sometimes
I once played against a invisible Demogorgon. Was absolutely terrifying cause he was literally in the upside down. No idea how it happened but got a clip of it at least 😂
The thing about old ruin is that the people who played through its rein of terror ended up being extremely good at skill checks because we pretty much had to be in order to play the game because over 90% of killers used it
10:55 you could even get on Top of the Big Shelves and Even Jump over the Exit Gates and escape at 5 Gens on "The Game" with Dead Hard, good old Days When you used Dead Hard the second the Killer hit you, you got an insaaane speedboost that even launched you when into the Air
About merciless storm, I remember experiencing that bug outside of the ptb. I dont know how you avoided it, but you got lucky as it was essentially a free win for killers
in summer 2019 “wake up” had a bug where instead of giving 15% to the exit gates opening speed, it gave it to EVERY SINGLE ACTION IN THE GAME FOR THE ENTIRE GAME mods said it was bannable to use it instead of fixing it quickly 😊😊😊
Everyone always forgets about old old adrenaline where if you were on the ground and the last gen popped it would heal you 2 health states back to full health
People still use Self-Care because they don't know Strength in Shadows is a thing. Something you didn't mention about Saboteur, you used to be able to use it to DESTROY the Trapper's traps. Not disable, not disarm. Permanently destroy.
Old Object of Obsession + Off the record was very broken because you could see the killer for 90 seconds, but the killer couldn't see you after getting unhooked and you forgot the permanent 150% speed Lithe bug and you couldn't tell if it was a bug or if someone was cheating
I have a healing build with "We'll make it" "Botany Knowledge" "Reassurance" and "Bite the Bullet" Only need a Brown Med-kit to absolutely blast through heals - even without a med-kit, healing is still 3x as fast. Give it a try, guys.
I enjoy victtorio's magic gen storage perk thing due to just saving 20% while my friend is doing the final bit of the Gen then running sprint burst to dash to the red gens with deja vu
I just gonna say it. Self-care is STILL a good choice with resilience and botany. And before anyone says:"It's still way to slow!!" The point is not to be able to corner self heal the full 100% everytime. It's about having the option to finish a heal by yourself, be the looper of the team and constantly heal back up by yourself and go back in chase, or 99 your healing progress, to use resilience while still being safe. Selfcare is only bad when ran by itself, with no perk synergy what so ever
also im pretty sure at one point there was a glitch with tinkerer where you would have no terror radius for the rest of the game or something. It might have only been against billys though I can't remember
Ill never forget old Ruin. The strategy we came up with was to rapidly get on and off the gen. The progress proceeded as normal but skill checks nowhere to be found. So glad they nerfed that crap haha
also old dead hard used to have a bug if used right after getting hit by the killer it would amplify the distance traveled by quite a bit. if used correctly you could get your head outside the roof on the game
I remember there was a bug where you could run without activating sprint burst by pressing shift while crouching, then uncrouch while holding shift. it was in early 2019
whatever we're talking about, at the moment the game doesn't really need any skill to get into Iridescent due to the fact that there is no demotion anymore and everyone even getting 1 pip is said to be ranked up, but it's good that everything still has MMR
I would have put corrupt intervention in this list as well, nowadays if you get a down the perk gets disabled but back then it wouldn’t disable until the timer ran out which was super strong
I wish they would bring back the old borrowed time effect. Not the perk stats but the black and white you get when using it. It fit perfectly since it came from Bill in L4D
This video helped give me some insight on why people hate noed. The usual argument i hear is "its a reward for playing poorly." As a killer main i felt the same was for old MTF. You got rewarded for just getting hit.
imo bhvr should partially revert object of obsession though...not the undetectable part, but being able to constantly see the killer. i mean they can also see you for the same duration at all times. nowadays object is completely useless just like some other perks that got completely obliterated.
Merciless Storm Bug was actually not only on the PTB but it was in the Main Build. How do I know this? I accidentally didn't know of the bug, so I used the perk as a doctor (the impossible skill check build) and saw that the gens regressed so much.
There was a bug in March 2022 for the nerfed OoO if you used it with Blood Pakt, you got permantly wall hacks while injured, which also worked in chase
Tbh you explained to yourself why hex builds dont exist in high mmr. People are too sweaty and know where they all spawn making them useless and they get nerfed. I mean the only one that I see get ran is noed and it's only good for killers that have raged attacks that count as basic hits. Even then it shows itself to people that are just close to it. So it makes it not really worth again. Unless ur deathslinger cuz noed actually makes him super strong
15:30 - This just unlocked a memory and added a unknown bit of information. I started playing DBD on 7th of August 2019 and during my first 100 hours I had a match where I played Freddy and I got 2 Claudettes with object of obsession and I got fucking demolished, they were wallhack looping me on basic jungle gym on autohaven and since I knew very little about how to chase and how did most of the perks work I thought that object is just fucked up perk that just gives survivors wallhacks on you at any time when you look in each others direction and I had ZERO knowledge that it works only OUTSIDE the terror radius. I thought that this is how ti works against every killer. I cannot believe that I was just so unlucky to get 2 good Claudettes with object on the exact match that I decided to play Freddy and get my day ruined.
Also self care made freddy unplayable. Survivors were able sit stun you with a pallet mid chase and you would fail a skill check making Freddy having to make you sleep again before being able to attack
my completely unbiased thoughts on made for this as a survivor player is that that perk was so absolutely busted. anti slugging was a nice bonus but it literally turned me into a mft crutch player that would loop killers for so long, i genuinely got so good because of the perk. after the nerf i got worse at the game, before the nerf id carry games relatively easily. i miss it :(
@@hitzgiwittker8655 right now ive been using background player a lot as ive not been liking many of the exhaustion perks, its either that or dead hard. ive been doing alright but i also dont play as much anymore which i think contributes to me being worse :). ontop of that i think i have a skin + charm loadout that makes killers more likely to tunnel me which has been making it harder. playing bill has actually resulted in my games being a lot easier due to killers leaving me alone a lot more often and being less cautious of me.

since you’re going to talk about bugged versions of perks, you should know that when tinkerer was first reworked, there was a bug where if you had tinkerer level 2 (and level 2 only), after you trigger the undetectable once you were permanently undetectable for the rest of the match. I had a great time playing double iri meyers and perma tier3 myers on lerys
Forgot boil over when you could send yourself to rpd and never get hooked in the library
Oh fr?
A little addition. when the exhaust status didn't exist, Sprint Burst is one of the broken perk. Similar to Balance Landing
Vice versa I was thinking of cool killer pairings wether by aesthetics or lore
old hex ruin has PTSD FORCED me into becoming a gen rusher for years and nearly always hitting great skill checks
The thing about old ruin is that the people who played through its rein of terror ended up being extremely good at skill checks because we pretty much had to be in order to play the game because over 90% of killers used it
10:55 you could even get on Top of the Big Shelves and Even Jump over the Exit Gates and escape at 5 Gens on "The Game" with Dead Hard, good old Days
When you used Dead Hard the second the Killer hit you, you got an insaaane speedboost that even launched you when into the Air
About merciless storm, I remember experiencing that bug outside of the ptb. I dont know how you avoided it, but you got lucky as it was essentially a free win for killers
Tinkerer was still insane when they reworked it but triggered multiple times per gen.
in summer 2019 “wake up” had a bug where instead of giving 15% to the exit gates opening speed, it gave it to EVERY SINGLE ACTION IN THE GAME FOR THE ENTIRE GAME
mods said it was bannable to use it instead of fixing it quickly 😊😊😊
Everyone always forgets about old old adrenaline where if you were on the ground and the last gen popped it would heal you 2 health states back to full health
People still use Self-Care because they don't know Strength in Shadows is a thing.
Something you didn't mention about Saboteur, you used to be able to use it to DESTROY the Trapper's traps. Not disable, not disarm. Permanently destroy.
There was a time awhile ago when Wake Up! Was bugged and the 15% speed worked on any actions including repairing a gen
And before anyone says:"It's still way to slow!!"
The point is not to be able to corner self heal the full 100% everytime. It's about having the option to finish a heal by yourself, be the looper of the team and constantly heal back up by yourself and go back in chase, or 99 your healing progress, to use resilience while still being safe.
Selfcare is only bad when ran by itself, with no perk synergy what so ever
Reminds me of why I became a nurse main back in the day. Didn't have to worry about that balance landing, dead hard, etc BS
Pain Res was OP when it didn't have charges
I agree. I'm kinda shocked it didn't get even an honorable mention; it was basically a must-have perk for a considerable number of patches.
I’m just starting to learn how to play nurse and Nowhere to Hide is so powerful on her, especially on multistory maps
also im pretty sure at one point there was a glitch with tinkerer where you would have no terror radius for the rest of the game or something. It might have only been against billys though I can't remember
Ill never forget old Ruin. The strategy we came up with was to rapidly get on and off the gen. The progress proceeded as normal but skill checks nowhere to be found. So glad they nerfed that crap haha
Bruh showing a pixelated image of Myers and then switching to Onryo is such a stab in the back
also old dead hard used to have a bug if used right after getting hit by the killer it would amplify the distance traveled by quite a bit. if used correctly you could get your head outside the roof on the game
I remember there was a bug where you could run without activating sprint burst by pressing shift while crouching, then uncrouch while holding shift. it was in early 2019
Back then dbd had a problem with buffs/nerfs and today too. DBD will never change.
whatever we're talking about, at the moment the game doesn't really need any skill to get into Iridescent due to the fact that there is no demotion anymore and everyone even getting 1 pip is said to be ranked up, but it's good that everything still has MMR
I would have put corrupt intervention in this list as well, nowadays if you get a down the perk gets disabled but back then it wouldn’t disable until the timer ran out which was super strong
Tbf endurance did exist back then, you can see it in the BT clip of the OG BT, which was way before Mettle
Fun fact you could fix the bug caused by the blast mine by getting back on the gen
I’ve used “We’ll Make It” permanently and I’ve gotten so many saves and help keep survivors alive
Blood pact, one if Cheryl perks used to give survivors unlimited aura of killers due to a bug, that was kinda broken.
imo bhvr should partially revert object of obsession though...not the undetectable part, but being able to constantly see the killer. i mean they can also see you for the same duration at all times. nowadays object is completely useless just like some other perks that got completely obliterated.
Merciless Storm Bug was actually not only on the PTB but it was in the Main Build. How do I know this? I accidentally didn't know of the bug, so I used the perk as a doctor (the impossible skill check build) and saw that the gens regressed so much.
1:25
Nerfing pyramid head’s ass was still the most unforgivable thing they’ve done
Now that most of the maps have been reworked I would absolutely LOVE for balanced landing to be buffed back to its original state!
There was a bug in March 2022 for the nerfed OoO if you used it with Blood Pakt, you got permantly wall hacks while injured, which also worked in chase
Selfcare is one of the worst perks nowadays, also with the boon of healing (which now doesnt allows you to heal yourself like it used to be)
Tbh you explained to yourself why hex builds dont exist in high mmr.
And remember that sabotage allowed you to destroy the Trapper’s traps
bro my man Kyto he’s making amazing content, keep up the great work!
You forgot to mention that version of borrowed time being once per match.
It was very dramatic but not so blatantly broken.
Also self care made freddy unplayable. Survivors were able sit stun you with a pallet mid chase and you would fail a skill check making Freddy having to make you sleep again before being able to attack
my completely unbiased thoughts on made for this as a survivor player is that that perk was so absolutely busted. anti slugging was a nice bonus but it literally turned me into a mft crutch player that would loop killers for so long, i genuinely got so good because of the perk. after the nerf i got worse at the game, before the nerf id carry games relatively easily. i miss it :(
Don't bring exhaustionperks and learn to loop without them. You get good again ;)
@@hitzgiwittker8655 right now ive been using background player a lot as ive not been liking many of the exhaustion perks, its either that or dead hard. ive been doing alright but i also dont play as much anymore which i think contributes to me being worse :). ontop of that i think i have a skin + charm loadout that makes killers more likely to tunnel me which has been making it harder. playing bill has actually resulted in my games being a lot easier due to killers leaving me alone a lot more often and being less cautious of me.
a perk i never see on peoples build is Fast Track, i think its a super good perk. I've halved gens with it, and with the new Laura croft perk Specialist it could make for a decent little combo
As much as I don't feel like playing the game at all, love your videos
Don’t forget boon circle of healing
Before you could heal yourself in the radius
Now you can’t
4:04 I mean they practically have wall hacks now with the 5000 aurora perks they have
as old dbd surv main I miss old ruin it was making doing gen interesting and some how skillful
0:56 on god I had that glitch once and never knew what was causing it! Seems like the other guy that worked on the gen put the blast mine onto the gen and it affected me.
You forgot to mention that Saboteur could break the Trapper's bear traps, making him the most basic killer in all DBD with no power.
19:34 omg thats the best play I've ever seen
Wow I didn't know about tinkerer, so that's why it has that name and picture
