She has courage. I myself had Polio at 9 months & played sports & still play golf though at the age of 71 my ball doesn't go as far. My son had Cerebral Palsy but worked so hard to overcome it he became a high school placekicker. He recently told me "Dad you didn't raise me to be average". So proud of him.
I’m kinda jealous at heart , my elder brother has this mental disability where his mental age takes time to progress so he still a teen in his mind but growing up I made him push me away , it’s been 3 years since and I do my best to be a better and loving brother but it gets tough

Haha this is awesome. I love how she still has that hint of self competition in her eye. That competitiveness never goes away and you can tell she’s excited that she’s doing good, but really wants to nail those last two! I have lung cancer and I’ve had to adapt in major ways too… I used to do parkour and a lot of physical stuff, so I’ve switched to riding an e-bike and onewheel instead so I can still enjoy the outdoors without gasping for breath or hurting myself. When you accept your new reality and adjust to suit it, life opens up a lot more than you’d think! If you just sit around feeling bad for yourself you’re making yourself miserable! It’s always worth putting forth a bit of effort.
When ever I see people with disabilities I always feel bad that I see the disability. But I’m always left in reverence at the strength of spirit to overcome such obstacles that would crush so many of us. There is beauty to an indomitable spirit and this lady has it in spades. It makes me realize how truly “disabled” the rest of us are. Bless you kiddo, may the light always shine upon you and may the winds of good fortune guide you for all your days.❤
