if there is a limit on the number of enemies that can be active then this would be a great way to let your teammates safely sweep the map. You just post up on a building and gather all of the voteless and no more patrols can spawn for everyone else who can then clear out objectives without having to watch their backs for random squids sneaking up from behind.

Either but not spamming W or by using S as you start to descent. Basically, jump packs aren’t completely free anymore. There’s an actual skill curve to using them. This would actually make getting the 'kill it with fire' achievement far easier. Now, if each achievement unlocked something, like a new weapon or stratagem, ship segment, or drones that were autonomous and went out to get samples so you wouldn't have too and bring them back to the landing point, then if would be way more worth it.

That's currently a hitscan bug with melee units. If you are close enough to the edge of their hitscan radius they will attempt to swing at you, this will sometimes end up teleporting them in front of you to land the hit. Their radius is a cylinder that extends far beyond their own height, hence the unit's procliivity to climb up straight edges and teleport up to you.
I'm excited for more urban development with everything elevated: taller buildings, overpasses sprawled throughout & recreational spots accessed from footbridges. The verticality & destruction would be fun.
