Lions could've won this if they a) made the field goal, and b) didn't fumble the reception. Pretty impressive, considering they were down by 3 scores at one point
I think we were well into the game, just things didn’t fall our way. St brown drop then fumble and the onside kick returned for almost a td hurt big for us. But I’d rather snap the winning streak now than go into the playoffs with that pressure. We know we can win 11 straight. But it’s difficult to win all the way out
I'm with Dan on this. He sees things we don't. We didn't have a defense for the Bills. They simply run it back fora TD. He tried to keep the ball on offense. It's an attempt at swinging the momentum.
I do not think anyone would think the Lions would slow down Josh Allen. To counter this Lions offense needed to run the ball to control the clock and keep Buffalos offense off the field. Instead DC decided to go for track meet than slow it down.
Lions have the Playoffs locked. If they get mostly healthy going in they are good. If any of the IR players are able to return and not 100% they should remain out until playoffs. That’s my thoughts. They need a mostly healthy defense to make a run at this thing. Otherwise yes, your correct. The injuries have caught them and this will continue.
I just had that gut feeling they were going to expose our injured Defense! The onside kick with 12 minutes left was just ridiculous! 3 timeouts with about 2:30 left and not using one made no sense either! We are still the #1 seed, and we have 3 winnable games left! Regroup and get back to playing Lions football! Go Lions!
Lets Kick an onside and give the game away. What was he thinking when he said "I thought we would get the ball back" Onside kicks on the NFL rarely work its not like going for it on 4th and 1 its much worse. The game was over in my mind when he did that. The D was terrible and the O was flat for too many plays. ZERO pressure on Allen all night. Lions might get a wild card if they are lucky.
At this point Brad Holmes is more responsible for the defense than AG. Even if AG was a bad coordinator most teams would’ve moved on from him already for how bad the passing defense has been all these years. However, if he’s someone that just needs good players Brad has failed to address those key positions. This offseason we could’ve signed an edge to play alongside Hutch like Andrew Van Ginkel, AJ Epenesa, Johnatan Greenard, or Danielle Hunter instead he only settled on an injury prone Marcus Davenport. Also, although we drafted two CBs and traded for one, this team could’ve used more CB depth. Bringing in someone like Stephon Gilmore or signing Sean Murphy Bunting would provide this team with solid depth rather than having Vildor play man coverage against the other teams Wr1.
You can't expect a team to get hit by the injury bug like the Lions have. Honestly this is the worst I've ever seen a team get hit by Injuries. The mere fact the Lions are still 12-2 despite that, speaks volumes on how this team is. Losing our star DE in Week 5, we did pick up someone before the deadline, and he's done decent so far, but injury after injury after injury just mounts up. That has nothing to do with Holmes or for that matter AG, its just bad luck. I'm just thankful its not on the offensive side of the ball
What happened 6 weeks ago is at this point irrelevant. All that matters is the games coming up, and the Lions are in trouble owing to their crippled defense. So many fans argued, “We’re 12-1! Of course we’ll beat Buffalo!” Ridiculous. With our shattered D, we are no longer the best team in the NFC, no matter what we did previously. It’s a sad truth, but a truth nonetheless.
Tell me whose a better team? Philly had a decent game today against Pittsburgh, but they've had shitty games against teams like Carolina Minnesota? It just takes one bad game from Sam Darnold to sink them, and they nearly lost to Jacksonville earlier this year. The same Jags team we 50-burgered, they got 4 FGs on.
@ You miss the point. What happened in the past with Detroit and the other teams is irrelevant. Yes, Philly is one team that certainly would beat a beaten up Detroit if the game were played next Sunday. Btw who cares who nearly lost to Jacksonville earlier in the year? What matters is how teams are playing NOW.
The onsides kick with a full quarter to go and down only 10 points was the single worst call I have ever seen. I don’t even know what that was even a thought in his brain at that moment. Ughhh

Who are you listening to? We learned from last week's loss to get ahead early. You guys were neck and neck with us the whole game, and you have two losses. I hope one of our teams wins the big one.
Us and the rams put up the most points against them out of any other contender team, I’m not sweating a good loss like this, great team and I hope they’re our Super Bowl enemy this year or next

Yes I know Detroit Lions injured players and I keep on adding up but still we are the Detroit Lions I will say again we are the Detroit Lions the number one team of all the NFL
The Loins have a good year and we end up playing 3rd string and emergency acquisitions. The season is cooked unless we get healthy. It doesn't matter how deep we are on D, they all get injured. Lions luck
One thing that upset me, we played Zone and shut down the bills on that drive. Then we went back to man then they scored again. If you are looking at 3rd and 4th string you need to change things, something that was not done. I understand this is how we roll but we gave them the game bc we didn't want to change
I disagree on the good scheme by the Bills I think it's was horrible play calls by Glenn. They didn't blitz and got away from what they have been doing.
We lost on the first drive. If they get a first down, we get to control the game get our running game going and play at our pace. The defence controlled Allen the best they could and Goff balled out. Proud of these guys and look forward to the playoffs!
After the 1st quarter. We had only 4 starters on defense standing. Glenn has to go to zone. Don't have the man power on defense. Only 2nd loss. Don't be panicking.
It wasnt penalties, we found out rather abruptly we can beat mediocre to good teams with the injuries. Not beating elite teams getting killed on both sides of the ball in the trenches.
These injuries won’t be easy to overcome and they’re piling up at an absurd rate. We’re probably not going to get homefield advantage due to the injuries, but we’re in. That’s when the season officially restarts from zero
Our defensive game plan was trash. Every time we play a team with a good running qb, it's like we decide not to blitz out of fear. Even when Allen was out of the pocket, we had 4 guys on the line shadowing him and not one crossed the line of scrimmage. I get it that you're worried he's going to pull off a big run against you, but that doesn't mean you just sit back and let him pass. I feel like this was the same problem we had against the ravens last year. We got blown out, because we didn't try pressuring jackson. At no point did we blitz a corner to try to put pressure on Allen from the corner. You're so worried about him getting out of the pocket, well, send in an outside blitz that, worst case scenario, plugs a hole on that side preventing him from escaping the pocket. It seemed like every play, we sent our 4 front guys and that was it. We played way to soft, when we needed to send people in.
Always knew these injuries would catch up to us, especially against the best teams. It sucks. You just cant overcome losing so many of your top players. We have such a good team but I feel its going to cost us a SB this year.
As a Lions fan, Allen deserves the MVP if Saquon doesn’t get it. This humbled the shit out of us, and they exposed the injuries. That onside kick bit us in the ass as well. Rest up, I’ll be at the game on Sunday in Chicago so let’s clean it up and get the W against the Chicago Squares 😤

@rickczainski9856 lions had 42 points and over 500 yards. A drop td. A fumble. A dropped pass that would have been a big play. If not a td. After 1st quarter. Lions had 4 original starters. Bulls had just 3 starters out on defense. Lions ran out of bodies. 12-2 and still 1st in the NFC.
Our oline is overrated for sure
No chance they make it to finals. eagles will do the same to them. nice call on the onside. just hand them 7 pts next time.
The first two game drives without points put too much pressure on an injured defense. Down 14-0 was way too much for an offensive team as the Bills
When we finally got some momentum back in the fourth, Dan Campbell decided to go for a ridiculous onside kick call, smh
Turns out, St. Brown's fumble cost the Lions the game. Goff is MVP.
We gotta toughen up. Get ready for playoffs.
Final game on January 5th versus the Vikings may decide the division and home field.

Yea. I think the Bills required that wild defense from the Green Bay game
I think he means the guys we got back didn't look 100% healthy. I would agree with that. Reader , Paschal, and McNeil before he got injured looked really bad.

But it’s difficult to win all the way out
yeah exactly - hard to win that many in a row. were a good team but bound to drop 1
That onside kick was stupid what was dan campbell thinking
No. It was textbook. We were two touchdowns behind in the fourth quarter.

@@DanThomas-k1f12 minutes left is not textbook
I'm with Dan on this. He sees things we don't. We didn't have a defense for the Bills. They simply run it back fora TD. He tried to keep the ball on offense. It's an attempt at swinging the momentum.
@@DanThomas-k1f tell everyone you have no clue about football without telling us...

Lions have the Playoffs locked.
If they get mostly healthy going in they are good.
If any of the IR players are able to return and not 100% they should remain out until playoffs. That’s my thoughts.
They need a mostly healthy defense to make a run at this thing.

I’ve never seen a team this battered in my 33 years of watching football. Good or bad teams. Just insane numbers.
I guess you made it obvious why you are not being paid as a professional coordinator or GM.
@@k.t1000 We're 12 and 2 for God's sake. Lighten up!! Did you think we were going to go 16 - 1?
You can't expect a team to get hit by the injury bug like the Lions have. Honestly this is the worst I've ever seen a team get hit by Injuries.
The mere fact the Lions are still 12-2 despite that, speaks volumes on how this team is. Losing our star DE in Week 5, we did pick up someone before the deadline, and he's done decent so far, but injury after injury after injury just mounts up. That has nothing to do with Holmes or for that matter AG, its just bad luck.
I'm just thankful its not on the offensive side of the ball
@@Aries_Ariait's the Ford Field "grass", same crap they put in their cars
What happened 6 weeks ago is at this point irrelevant. All that matters is the games coming up, and the Lions are in trouble owing to their crippled defense. So many fans argued, “We’re 12-1! Of course we’ll beat Buffalo!” Ridiculous. With our shattered D, we are no longer the best team in the NFC, no matter what we did previously. It’s a sad truth, but a truth nonetheless.
Tell me whose a better team? Philly had a decent game today against Pittsburgh, but they've had shitty games against teams like Carolina
Minnesota? It just takes one bad game from Sam Darnold to sink them, and they nearly lost to Jacksonville earlier this year. The same Jags team we 50-burgered, they got 4 FGs on.
@ You miss the point. What happened in the past with Detroit and the other teams is irrelevant. Yes, Philly is one team that certainly would beat a beaten up Detroit if the game were played next Sunday. Btw who cares who nearly lost to Jacksonville earlier in the year? What matters is how teams are playing NOW.

One thing that upset me, we played Zone and shut down the bills on that drive. Then we went back to man then they scored again. If you are looking at 3rd and 4th string you need to change things, something that was not done. I understand this is how we roll but we gave them the game bc we didn't want to change
3 season-ending injuries suffered yesterday. That’s the worst of it.
The Lions made history even with loss, both teams had bad defense,🌹🌚👍 Rest in the Good News 🌹 okay bye
I disagree on the good scheme by the Bills I think it's was horrible play calls by Glenn. They didn't blitz and got away from what they have been doing.
Just too many injuries to overcome, it’s going to catch up to him. It already has started.
We lost on the first drive. If they get a first down, we get to control the game get our running game going and play at our pace. The defence controlled Allen the best they could and Goff balled out. Proud of these guys and look forward to the playoffs!

@@sobxscooter8157 don't count on it. Looks doubtful.
It wasnt penalties, we found out rather abruptly we can beat mediocre to good teams with the injuries. Not beating elite teams getting killed on both sides of the ball in the trenches.
Defense did suck but that is to be expected with most starters and secondary playing tonight. I wish they had better back ups.
A 50 burger at home is wild lol
The onside kick with 12 minutes left on the clock in the 4th quarter made absolutely no sense to me.
We can improve the advantage over Phil. Beat chicago on the road. Beat sf on the rd
The lions are done my friend, now the injuries are starting to take its toll Buffalo really exposed us! Joe judge did a great job!
Running quarterbacks that can actually pass are our biggest issue. Even fields was a consistent issue
