Oh my god, back in the day when I was Building R2 D2, I followed your channel. This is the first time I checked in the channel (UA-cam algorithms) in years!! The room looks amazing😍 so many projects, I can't even conceive of the amount of money spent on each one of those projects and you have your own jingle tune, although it does sound like a Donald Trump rally call. Love your videos! I'm a few weeks behind on my ET. Just a little tip I started doing... get yourself a few syringes to put the lube into. It's a mess to get it in, but it makes it easy to store and apply in the future. It was a game changer for me. :)
I think its crazy how just one issue is a motor. That neck box could of been condensed down to 2 parts. Looking at the magazine when your flicking through. It looks like only half the magazine is to do with E.T. The rest of the magazine seems strange, picture of Charles and Diana and a pic of John Rambo.. Looking forward to watching E.T grow each month. One of my favourite films of all time
also how is the premium base going to be fitted? In this stage one wire is going from the bottom of the standard base through the leg framework. Either there's going to be a fair bit of disassembling or I'm paying for an expensive paperweight
Great build Wayne :) Just a thought regarding grease / oil etc. on any model. Maybe treat it like an oil paint and squeeze it onto a palette, then using a sacrificial brush apply it only to the gears / mechanism.. might be easier it get it where you want it and not where you don't such as your fingers :) Re cleaning grease / oil off your hands, a hand sanitiser would work. Besides the obvious the alcohol content should get rid of the grease / oil.
Hey Wayne. I heard an old saying a few years ago. When your right no one remembers, but when your wrong everybody remembers. That screw that you put in to hold the roller barrel. Well it went in crooked. It was leaning to the right. That was why it was hard to put in. Just saying
I wonder how the premium base will be fitted as we've already screwed the "leg" framework to this standard base and it's where the power supply comes in?
I had that thought too...us that have the premium base coming may have to disable the standard base from the leg framework, and reattach the premium base maybe ? If we don't get it until the end would that be still possible with all the framework, skeleton and skins attached ?
bear in mind that legs may fit to slots either way but the frame clearly has a front and back side to it, so you might end up staring the arse end of ET on that pedestal if you're not careful on which side is which.
Hi ya Wayne... nothing personal but it looks like you screwed in the screw holding the washer at an angle... That's probably why it was hard putting it in...lolol I'm waiting for this pack to get here.. But are you sure that it's suppose to go that slow... Sounds like there's alot of resistance some where in that box... Or it could be the bearing on the shaft... But it does look like you had a little delay while it was slowly turning... I would say check it again...lol Well take care mate...
