    Alessandro, your English is 1000% better than my Italian. Thank you for attempting to gather feedback from comments (the reasonable people out here know you tube comments can be a dangerous place to look). May I also be so bold as to suggest a workshop 'tour' of your current setup, what you hope to upgrade/enhance in the future and why. As a very amateur modder, I'm always looking for new ways to realise my crazy ideas without losing a finger in the process.

      Doing improvements based on feedback is one of my main drives in all this so I'll always make sure I take the comments into consideration, even if they're hate ones, because there still might be something to learn from those, while ignoring the fact that they're not there for good purposes. So yeah, I'm glad you guys responded well to me addressing your suggestions in the video :D
      About the workshop tour, it's definitely something I will do in the future also because I'm actually a big fan of those type of videos myself, and there's always something new to learn from one. Only thing is that I might move back to my small garage workshop around September/October because I just had a thing with the owner of the place I'm in right now so there will be some thinking to do about that. But again, I will definitely bring you guys something along that line!

    I thought your first video on this was fine, I enjoyed it. Don’t worry about the majority of the negative comments because most of them aren’t constructive criticism. You’re doing great in my book and not every build will suit everyone’s tastes and that’s ok.

    Considering your CNC is "a chattery mess" you're taking some descent cuts! It is obvious you had a lot of time to finetune exactly how much your machine can handle and you're not afraid to push it. That's nice to see.

    Another great video! I hadn't even considered how the back was attached to the top and bottom stock sections, I presumed by magic maybe? 😅 Making your own fixing mechanisms is all the better, particularly when you have multiple fixing points on a single piece, it will help add rigidity. Given me solutions to problems I didn't know I had 🤘

    • @ExploreModding
      @ExploreModding 2 роки тому

      Thanks dude! I'd say the stock structure is already pretty solid (you'd think it better be with all those damn rivets), but a structure made out of 5 and 8mm alu will definitely be sturdier if done right!

    It really needs a trim piece to cover the exposed rivets and mounting points for the original side panel. That kills it for me. So much detail but that was overlooked.

    as a native speaker i thought that you found really nice ways to say certain things, so i hope you will feel increasingly comfortable infront of the camera!
    i must admit, although Mirai is nice, knowing that you built project aries has me very excited! i can't wait to see more of your projects! don't get discouraged, Alex is a very hard act to follow.
    i did also enjoy hearing about your inspiration for Mirai, but i think it would have been good to add pictures of the things you are talking about for some more visual variety, and maybe highlight some details in the Mirai build with closeup shots while you explain them, since you were revealing a finished build this time.
    anyway todays video was already much more fun to watch, the CNC b-roll was on point. great work Alessandro, keep it up!

      Thank you so much! I do feel more and more comfortable speaking with every video, especially in this one, I unexpectedly felt a looot better without the script limiting me, it was more like talking to a friend.
      In the presentation video for Mirai I did add some images next to myself to show what I was talking about, unfortunately there's not a lot of material on Google about the glass torii gate so I used what I found. About the closeup shots of the finished build, you're completely right, in fact I wanted to do just that for this video and I actually forgot to add some! Noted for the next one :D

    Hey man! Don’t worry about the haters, you seem like an amazing modder! You don’t need to explain yourself to the haters at all! Keep doing you and don’t worry about needing to explain yourself! Keep up the good work, can’t wait to see the vids!

      Thanks man! I was referring more to the constructive criticism I got in the last video, and even if they weren't meant to be constructive in the first place, I always try to gather feedback even when that's not the primary purpose of a comment. But yeah I definitely want to listen to what you guys suggest because you're an already well established audience and I'm the new one here so it's only natural that I would that :D also explaining myself helps you understand my vision, and I think it's important to get you to know me a bit better at least in the beginning!

    • @bluesdude514
      @bluesdude514 2 роки тому

      @@ExploreModding oh yeah I totally agree with always learning from *constructive* criticism, just not people being mean and hating for no reason. My only issue was the amount of time spent talking about it I think. And I felt bad because I felt you didn’t deserve most of the criticism you were receiving, I just want to see you get into the build logs and explain what you did to finish each detail of the build etc.. but I understand where you’re coming from! It’s always hard being the new guy at a job, I can’t imagine when that job is a UA-cam channel with thousands of viewers… but I still think that if you were to come out on your third video and maybe just mention that you hear and acknowledge constructive criticism and will continue to learn from it, and get right into the build, I think it’d be great and people *will* support you! We’ve seen your work and know you are an amazing modder. Even the first one, some people complained about the level of difficulty (I don’t see how…) but it’s a matter of opinion and I thought the build looked amazing and seemed like something that was more viable for people like me to one day accomplish ourselves! I’d LOVE to see a video with an amazing build with mods that showed how people without access to a CNC could achieve the same results, wanted this channel to make something like that for sooooo long!!!

    I’ll admit I didn’t really enjoy the first video, this one was 100% better. Also don’t worry about your English I’m from America and you speak better than half of the ESL people here. Also thank you for mentioning you were six months on your other project, I’m about 6 months in mine and have to keep putting it aside because of frustration, it’s nice to get confirmation that Rome wasn’t built in a day. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more of you on the channel!

    Will you do a custom loop watercooled nas? You can make a custom hotswap bay that has watercooling built in, and make custom blocks for the raid cards and pcie storage cards. You could make it relatively small and focused on media streaming like plex or something. Make it beautiful enough to be both a nas and a centerpiece htpc for a living room. You could even work on passive watercooling since you won’t need to cool extremely powerful parts, and you could probably get away with a lower power gpu or even a passive one.

  • @rayndooma5624
    @rayndooma5624 2 роки тому

    Creating content, editing videos, and building custom PCs are different types of art forms. You’re never gonna please everyone, cause everyone has different tastes. Do your projects in whatever way makes you happy. Be careful about taking criticism from UA-cam comments, not all of them are constructive.
    Kudos to you on trying to learn another language! You’re doing great. You speak English better than most people born in America. If you want to speak Italian in your videos that would be absolutely fine with me, as long as you have English subtitles to translate what you’re saying. I’ve been watching Japanese anime my whole life, so I’m used to reading subtitles.
    Looking forward to the rest of Project Mirai. Andiamo!

    i would highly recomend that you do a ramp entrens instead if of plunge as you did
    just do it manuel sincee its so easy
    ex.
    ( G0 X50 Y25 Z5
    G1 Z0.5
    X35 Z-2
    X-50
    Y-25
    X50
    Y20
    X34
    X30 Z0.5
    G0 Z10 )
    btw im a fully educated machinest and love giving out some of my knolage that can help people
    since a endmill is not ment to drill/go/being pushed down through material its better to do it at a ramp/angle ( you can though go straight down with them id you have already drilled where the center of the endmill is going down ( so there is no material where the center/core of the endmill goes down )

    Maybe add more visual elements for the people with low attention spans? idk I thought the last video was pretty interesting but I do like this new background. Don't worry about the haters for the build, they just don't like change and you can't let other people affect your art.

    Just learn from the constructive criticism and make the next one better, like you did here. I watched the last one and thought, "He's new, he'll get better with practice."
    Though this mod isn't my style, I don't mind that it's a simpler design. This looks more attainable for someone that is just moding their own case at home.
    I think people are just spoiled by the over the top builds they have been seeing on this channel.

      He did absolutely fine. You say this like it’s an ultimatum. “Just learn from it and make the next better.”
      Or what? It is very entitled to tell a creator what he can and can not create. It’s his channel, not yours.
