- so i randomly decided to binge watch this show and ended up really enjoying these two. i love me a good childhood best friends to lovers trope with some angst thrown in there, but who doesn't?? i definitely want to see their dynamic explored some more in season 2 cause they're just too cute. enjoy and stay safe!

Well, he dated Cece because Annie said the kiss meant nothing. Cece was basically just a left over sandwich that no one has feelings for so Ty decided to push his feelings away for Annie and date someone who he doesn't have feelings for.
i think that when Annie kissed Ty, he realized that he had feelings for Annie, but it scared him, and he didn’t know what to do. Instead of addressing those feelings, he started dating Cece, who was the easy and safe choice. I can’t wait for season two!
I think so too. His mom said you can't help who you're attracted to and he just gave this look like he knew how she felt. I think Annie saying she didn't mean it and kicking him out made him back away even more.

Same here! I am the mom‘s age but frankly Ty/Annie is by far the most interesting romance. The others were obvious; we knew Ryan would be the quintessential heartbreaker & Helen deserved better, same with the Bill/Maddie/Cal/Noreen/Dana Sue dramas. As amazing as the show is for many other reasons, the adult romances are following predictable romantic drama tropes. It’s Ty & Annie that brings the real emotions, and great chemistry between the actors.

In the books she has a eating disorder that lands her in the hospital bc it caused her a heart attack and ty was there for her that’s how their relationship started. In the tv show probably it was Annie in the car with Kyle and the accident brings them together after he gets scared of losing her. But I know ce ce is gonna cause issues(in the books her name is dee dee).

I was so disappointed that Tyler ended up dating Cece and he and Annie grew apart after the whole phone recording fiasco. It seemed like they ran in different circles though since Ty is a jock and Annie is more of a loner. I'm hoping he branches out and reconnects with her because helloooo Ty Annie is gorgeous!!
i don’t think annie’s a loner bc there was that one scene after she left kyle where she walked over to a group of girls and they were happy to see her.
@@beckyp3759 I think she isn't a loner but she's also not in the popular crowd. She has her own group of friends but they probably don't run in the same crowd that Ty does (since he's a jock).
In the book Annie wasnt a loner she has two best friends who saved her live and are the second generation of sweet magnolias. Ty and annie are endgame, ty help her so much with his eating disorder

He should take pointers from Cal not just on baseball! Cal confidentiality told Maddie how he felt about her. It would be beautiful symmetry if he gave Ty encouragement to tell Annie how he felt!

Here's the thing: If Ty didn't like Annie that way he wouldn't have been so hurt when she said the kiss meant nothing. Going by Carson's insta stories from the bts pics that he has posted, it looks like Ty and Annie might be getting together in season 2, can't wait!!! Im still convinced that the passenger is Annie and that's what's going to bring her and Ty together!!!!

I really thought they had something going on in the beginning of the season. Like when Ty’s best friend asked Ty who he was texting he said “No one” so I really thought they were hiding their relationship, but after Annie kissed Ty. He started to push himself away from her.
Hi im 1yr late but yeah i noticed that too. I think the feeling is mutual from the very beginning they just don't realize it especially Ty. He's very protective of Annie ,he even went out with Cc to save Annie from the gossip. He's confused and in denial after the kiss, Annies is trying to reach out but he's avoiding her. When Annie got hurt and avoided him bcoz of what jackson did he begin to realize his feelings for her. I started to notice Annie even when many people are around. I love the last 2 episodes where he's paying attention to Annie than before. Looking forward for season 2 bcoz of these two♥️♥️♥️
The way he reacted when she said the kiss ment nothing. He wanted it to mean something or he wouldn’t have reacted like he did. He cared for her when she was drunk at the party. He didn’t pull away at the kiss. He gave her his jacket. He got mad at his brother for the position he put Annie in

You can tell they have a connection, even though we didn’t get to many scenes with them you can still tell. In their eyes, every stare they share. You can tell they really care about each other, they are just both trying to ignore it.
I adore all this affection for Annie. She and Ty are awesome, the show is awesome, and all of your are awesome for pouring out all this love.

I binged the whole season in one endless night a day ago ...since then I dove into the books because I couldn't wait for more and I've gone back to rewatch my favorite scenes. I'm on book 2 now in the series, I hope they don't continue to change TOO much because I'm SO excited to see the rest of what I've read play out on screen!

I definitely love a good love story and this show is definitely something that filled the void of what's missing on regular tv. Someone to root for. But poor Kyle. I feel so horrible for him also. I definitely need a season 2 like right now. The anticipation is going to kill me.

I have watched TONS of ship videos for this couple and this is by far my favorite
well, he definitely likes her and is trying to figure it out lol he talked about it with his best friend. also, in the last episode, he kept gravitating towards her - and when they were dancing they were looking at each other. they are trying to figure it out, and i am rooting for them.
i think s2 will start with either 1) both of them looking for kyle and nelly and eventually talking about their feelings for each other, or 2) kyle and annie are in the car and ty is going to have a wake-up call.
he obviously likes her - he does a lot, but he's trying to figure it out because he's been hurt so much in the past year like lol it's hard for him to trust his feelings. i really love this show, it's clean, wholesome and refreshing. my least favorite part was the relationship between the mom and coach LOL!! but I'm excited for the love triangle in s2. their dad needs to MAN UP.

Ok hear me out let’s say that Annie is in the car crash and she falls into a coma ty realizes that he loves her and Jackson has always liked her but when Annie wakes up Jackson is there first and ty is pist but out of respect for Annie he leaves it alone but one day they’re at a party at Jackson’s house and Annie gets drunk and Jackson tries to take advantage of her and ty see’s so he beats the crap out of Jackson, ty then takes Annie home and starts taking care of her, Annie falls asleep in the bathroom after throwing up ty picks her up bridal style and carries her to her room, he tucks her in and is about to let go when, Annie grabs his and and quietly says “don’t leave me again.” Ty says a quiet “are you sure” to which Annie responds with a nod, ty gets into bed with Annie and he wraps his arms around her and while she falls asleep with her head on his chest and he says in an almost inaudible whisper “I’ll never leave you, not again”...... so what do you y’all think....

Possible Outcomes of the Car accident of the end of season 1.
Imagine Annie was in the car accident and Ty regrets not telling annie how he felt and he lost her and his brother.
Imagine Ty was the one in that car and Annie lost both Ty and Kyle and Maddie lost both of her sons and Naveen child was a son.
Imagine Jackson's sister nellie was the one in the car and jackson regrets ruining his sister party and regret talking to ty and bothering him because it caused the fight.
Was so disappointed to see this end! I want more!!! Great storyline, love all the characters!

the show doesn’t have much annie ty content in comparison, are the books better ? (they are generally tho)
I haven’t watched much of the series yet, but the earlier books were about the parents more than The kids, though there was much more ty and Annie content in the books. Home in Carolina, book #5 in the series is all about Ty and Annie when they’re in their early 20s, 23 and 24 to be exact.
@@ananyasrivastava4762 I'm barely on book 2 which means mostly uncharted waters in comparison to the show. Book 1 obviously has a lot more (and amazing stories and outcomes for everyone) that was not shown in this season but it also seems to have taken from book 2 with Erik and other characters. So I'm guessing this season was a combination of the first 2 books and the bigger events are being saved for later while others were used early on as cliffhangers. With all that said, the show actually sticks to the material nicely considering the few big changes they made. But yes...the book is way better. I'm hoping the best parts that made it better are just being saved for the next season. After all you cant reveal all your material in just one season haha so fingers crossed because I'd love to see the scenes in the book played out on screen more
