- A Who's Who of 1990s society is included in this special glimpse into the world of haute couture. Taking place during the spring 1990 shows in Paris, Judd Rose interviews Nan Kempner, Catherine Deneuve, Lou Lou de la Falaise, Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Lacroix, Judy Taubman, Susan Gutfreund, Audrey Gruss, Countess Isabel d'Ornano, Andre Leon Talley, Suzy Menkes, John Fairchild, Jacqueline Bisset, and Joe Eula.
Nan Kempner was wonderful. Open to everyone and a good sport.
Would have loved to have a conversation over dinner with her❤
Quem mais reconheceu Carmen Mayrink Veiga na primeira fila do desfile YSL?
Saint Laurent got stuck in a time warp in the 80's, His clothes were just SO old fashioned by the end of it. Sad really.
Yes, it was elegance but too much classic looks old with time
And he repeated styles, OVER & OVER. Also licensing everything- including cigarettes. He fell victim to his own "Legend", at the end Pierre Berge was running everything.Thank God for Tom Ford right...@@andresalvaradoortega7469
I think it was still good, there were clothes you could still wear today. Of course it wasn't as fun as what Karl used to do at Chanel but it had amazing tailoring and draping
Us poor people won’t understand why these clothes are so expensive because there is a true appreciation and craftsmanship to the very intricate detail and the time that was spent on these designs.
Oh the 80s when the media pretended they didn't know wealthy people existed.
Yes, so inocent!!! Those people are their owners!!!

12:55, Marpessa Hennink, the greatest and finest.
I don't know what it's like to have anyone but anything for me.
What year was this ? So interesting !
It was filmed in 1990, during the spring 1990 shows.
Wow! 3:24 Carmen Mayrink Veiga
If I'd seen this in 1990, I would have recognized the frivolousness and superficiality of haute couture culture and the people, but would still feel the siren call of the haute vie. But now, thirty years later? I still appreciate beauty, but the crass and callousness of the "customers" appeals me. Forget Marie Antoinette as a symbol of decadence Nan Kemper! Your cart is here to take you to the guillotine...
LMAO!!!
Damn you are a hater!!! 😂😂😂😂
But I love the way you worded your hate…. Love it!!
Those journalists are so annoying. It's not like the US can lecture anyone on social equality.
Ah to have the money to afford everything but, yet, begged to take all the best for free!
And they say that Derek Blasberg is great at covering social events with charm and wit? Eat this Blasberg - Judd Rose was all the way greater than you🤣
JR had better ground game for sure.
this is so unbelievably sexist.
Nah, it's just telling it like it is.
This was made before the media started lying to you so feelings wouldn’t be hurt. It’s reality.
