Very cool video! I can't wait to see what Paul does in the effect pedal world. He has such great ears and a true passion for effected tones, it's bound to be tone feast of effect-pedal goodness!
19:55 Aww.. that little crack in his voice when talking about Eric Johnson. You can tell the friendships he’s made over the years mean the world to him 😊 Paul is such a rad dude, and he’s done so much for the business. What a legend ❤️
I have been using pedal since I was 14 and I am now 69. I've got more pedals than guitars and I have about 3 dozen guitars with a PRS in the mix. Paul, as a fellow Marylander I salute you. You are the "Man".
What a great video. Great insight in to a gentlemen who not only is a genius businessman, but also a master luthier and brilliant guitar player. Rare combination and you see the culmination in his company. Thank you Mr. Smith for taking the time to give everyone insight into your lifetime passion.
Excellent. We got pedals that convey the sound of PRS guitars as accurately as possible. It is surprising that the company allowed its instruments to sound completely different from what was planned. Manufacturing technology, wood and varnish, components, strings and pickups. Even the amplifiers have been thought out in this long chain of creating an authentic PRS sound. But any pedal or processor took us away from what Mr. Paul Red Smith heard in his dreams. We are waiting for a delay and a reverb. Bravo..
It was interesting, I asked Paul once at a Q&A if he was trying to recreate in PRS guitars anything from other instruments from the past and he spoke about violins and the top class luthiery associated with them. It seems that he casts a broad net when searching for inspiration!
Love that analog delay... MXR Blue Box... Used to own the Ibanez SD9. Hearing it after all these years made me miss it... Original Boss chorus 💞...... I'd be willing to take that Talking Pedal off your hands 😁..... That MXR Flanger/Doubler WOW! 🤤🤤 Last but certainly not least, amazing clean tone from your guitar! Genius work!
Who else wants Paul to secretly take shred lessons and just randomly start smoking at 200 bpm? Even if it never happens I'm a fan of the man and his instruments for life! Bought my 1st PRS a year 1/2 ago and never looked back. In fact I had 2 buy more within the same year lol. Love my PRS' and anything with Paul's name on it because you know it's QUALITY!!!
I'm always rooting for you. It was very educational. Personally, I'm glad that an effector made in Japan (BOSS, Roland) has appeared. We are also looking forward to the day when EXPERIENCE PRS in JAPAN will be held‼︎ o(≧∀≦)o
Dang, I thought I was a fuzz nut...Paul has me beat! So many fuzzes, so little time! Hey Paul, try one of the 70s Maestro Fuzztain, if you haven't already...great big pedal from the 70s
I've got this crazy idea if Paul ever reads it. What if you build a bolt-on Paul´s Guitar with a roasted maple neck, white bird inlays, and an all Satin aesthetic
Paul & PRS please bring back the Spruce Arch top with MOON INLAYS! Or at least the semi-hollow spruce with moons…..they are some of the best PRS ever made. So many of us players are allergic to birds…;)
24:28 I'd use it as a talkbox and finally try to play what Gilmour plays about five minutes into Pink Floyd's "Pigs (three different ones). I heard that at age seventeen and bits of that track still pop up in my head at least once a month
Great video ! Having Paul demonstrating other brands is very cool. The different pedals showed are very interesting and I didn't know about a lot of them. Too bad we didn't have the chance to hear the Vox Clyde Mc Coy... In which amp was Paul plugged in ? Congrats to all the PRS team !
If you like pedals JHS has a good youtube. Josh doesn't just talk about his own pedal brand, actually talks more about other brands of pedals most of the time.
Hey Paul, enjoyed the video. Have you ever considered doing a limited run of your guitars with the birds flying out of the guitar instead of into the guitar. I think they would sell. Give it a thought if you read this. I would buy one.
New PRS Starla SE player with a Traynor YSL2 Amp here! I play power pop music. Was an acoustic player for many years and then learned electric for my latest album in 2020. I have the chromatic tuner Paul shows and a TC looping pedal but that’s it. What else should this “pedal virgin” get?
I love how uncle Paul thinks nothing of recommending pedals you can't get. I would love to get one of those TC parametric EQs, but the ask on those things is pretty high for a beat up used pedal.
It seems while Gibson is going back in time trying to recreate their Iconic guitars and sound .Paul and company are marching forward.in future..dominating the guitar meca with their I conic.guitars .prs has more to offer in their guitasvthan gibson.where do I start . better woods . better finishes better quality sounding guitars..Paul and company are number#1

@@RaptorV1USA TRUE and agreed; the level of pedal companies are cray now a days, but I’m still curious about about what in the world this man has in his brain for his company’s next big adventure - PRS has amps, guitars, accessories. It’s interesting that Paul’s made this video, too! He must be foreshadowing something, but I don’t know what?!?
That Hot Cake pedal ... holy smokes 🔥
I love Paul... I've had the privilege of meeting him, and he's just _the best._

Just got a Paul’s Guitar. I love it. Your team does wonderful work!
I think this demo shows how amazing and unique the Paul’s guitar sounds

Hearing Paul running the Paul’s Guitar through all of these pedals makes me anxious to get mine! Sounds so good!

I’d be very curious to see what guitars Paul has, especially the stuff he rates that aren’t PRS built.
We're planning on doing a guitar collection episode. Stay tuned!

Not gonna lie. Everything you play sound so good
We like pedals. Very cool collection! Thanks for sharing.
Paul - Your friends UniVibe pedal is Killer !! Lotta warmth... still very dynamic. 👍👍🎼🎸🎶
thank you Paul as always.
I bow down to my fave guitar builder.
I will never play any other guitar.
Prs are my fave necks.
I want his amps next.
That Tubeless is great!
Thanks Paul, nice to see some pedals you don't see all the time on here.
That original 2 knob Hot Cake sounds awesome!. I have a newer 3 knob Hot Cake that sounds good but not as good as the original.
Love seeing these older, broken in and loved pedals. Paul's the man!
Glad we aren’t forced to listen to Paul’s music. More power to him…

Paul! I plug straight into the amp, too! 🦅
This made me love Paul. His passion and curiosity is still with him.
Also, watch all these pedals melt off of Reverb haha...
Paul your tone is really amazing....
Got me a hotcake, pairs with a vox perfectly 🥰
some really cool stuff from the past !
Paul these are some sweet pedals!

Blue Box = Jimmy Page = Fool in the Rain. This was really great. I enjoyed it. ( hotcake & sonic distortion sounded mega ) oNe LoVe from NYC
What a total guitar nerd. Nice to know I'm not suffering alone with this disease!
Had a peek at Reverb for a price on the Tubeless - HOLY SMOKE SIGNALS!!

The talking pedal. I want that. Gimme that pedal!
Hot cakes gotta be my fav
I like the amount of Flangers he has. Kinda makes it familiar to me since half of my pedals are Flangers.
Get your hands on a chase bliss whombtone mk1.2... guarentee your going to enjoy it Paul 👌
Nice collection of pedals. Great video. It would be nice to know which if any pedals went through an effects loop or front of amp.
Thanks.

Love the video, what amp was used as the clean platform?
What kind of monitors is Paul using? They sound great.
Wonder what mod on the EP-101 he's talking about!
“Hi, I’m Paul Reed Smith.” *pulls out a B.C. Rich Warlock*
JHS should do a video with PRS just talking about pedals
A "UA-camr" that surely has the influence to raise Reverb prices!
Context: This is one of my favourite pedals
"I am a guitar straight into amp type of guy". - Proceeds to showcase 24 pedals in his collection.
Can we expect a PRS Pedal in the future?
As profitable as pedals are they should not try to sell toys
I’d like to know what amp he demoed these through…
I didn't count, but I'm pretty sure there were more than 5 "top 5" pedals!
Ibanez AD-80. “AD-80”-I only just _got_ that. Cute.
Did Paul just not use the thumb screws in the locking tuners? Looks like they are missing
They look to be the vintage spec non locking Tuners used on the McCarty line.
Not every guitar has locking tuners I have never owned one set. Played without it for 30 years why change now?

Paul good demo. Maybe put a few basic pedals into your guitars so we don't have to buy pedals?
