- Yet another extensive and jaw dropping crash bars test done by Outback Motortek! We sacrificed our Yamaha XT1200 Super Tenere to test our latest upper and lower crash bars. For more info and photos, please visit: outbackmotorte...
The products of this company are more reliable than the crash bars of other companies. from Japan!
Quite the compliment! Thank you
Best marketing technic evere 😎 I don't even own a 1200 but I want those crash bars 😅
Thanks for your comment. We just do what we think will take us to our goal: making real crash bars that protect and not just pretend to protect.
Great dedication to the testing!
Foot peg and brake pedal are gone
:-(
Waiting for you to restock these…..
You guys seem very passionate about what you do and it shows in your product.
Amrit Swain thank you! Yes, we love what we do. Crash bars testing is fun as well 😉
You are the best brand for dual sport motorcycles ! Good job guys, this is the good way to do this. By taking your time to build the best and stronger products, then you become the leader on this market for many many years 😎✌
Cheers! We're not in a rush at all to just release products to saturate the market. We want to standout with our quality and not quantity
I've installed this crash bars yesterday. looks grate and installation was without any issues. What I don't like, is that standard radiator support should be removed. I've made my own, but on my opinion, it should be part of crash bars set.
Shoot, the Tenere is so tough this is how I park mine after a day of riding.
Just checked their website out of stock on the bars
nobody wants rear breaks anyway :D but that's not to be solved by crashbars. probably would need an extra protection for that.
Derp our bash plate actually may help!
Two things: Can you get the covers off and battery out without taking the bars off?
Also, it would be an easy thing to make a fitting to slip a branch in to enable a lever to be used for assisted lifting the pig offroad! Just a dreamy thought.
Propelled yes, you can have access to things behind the side cowlings. Second, indeed just a dreamy thought.
It´s similar to the question...."Can I jump into water without getting wet?". They have to find the small space between good protection, good shape and possibility of maintenance. It´s difficult. At the end protection is the most important...
Shit i was impressed by the Africa twin testing but you just drag a Super Tenere with a F-ing fenwick... What the hell. :D
A bit sad that if you have aftermarket full exhaust system, they wont fit.
Great to see proper testing rather than just shiny photos. I'm a retired police officer who specialized in collision investigation. I did similar testing of bikes by pushing them off low deck trailers at speed to measure damage and also determine expected distance of slide based on surface and speed.
I noticed the right side foot peg dug in pretty hard on one test. Does your belly pan protect it?
Well done! Glad I found you!
Hi Mark! Wow, thanks for your feedback and kind words! We love doing drop tests. Not only does it help us improve our crash bars, but it’s also a very effective (and transparent) marketing.
The belly pen does offer some more protection for the foot pegs and so do the pannier racks (side luggage racks).
@@Outbackmotortek right! Makes sense the luggage racks would help protect the pegs! One thing that I confirmed with all the testing; it's way better to stay upright and on the brakes rather than the old school thinking of "laying her down " .
Instant buy...
This is a great commercial! Though I would have liked a little more video on the rest of the bike to see the full protection effect or lack thereof. I just bought a S10 yesterday and will probably be ordering soon :)
Best in the market!
Thanks Andres!
Awesome job guys !!
Cheers!
Well done!
reinvented what Touratech did the first second S10 came out. these are bulkier bigger uglier than the touratech bars.
That Yamaha is nice.
Nice product! Can you get the side panels off without removing the crash bars? Especially with the right side to access the battery.
DaveI thanks and yes to the side panel removal
Foot peg is not necessary to protect. That is cheap. No need to add more unnecessary weight
bring your super tenere combos back in stock.
please.
We still produce them. Would you please send an email to our customer to get an estimate on the availability? info at outbackmotortek dot com
That hurts bad watching this but that's what it takes to give us what we need.
Thank's for all the hard work. I have the Tenere 1200 and that's why its even more hard to watch.
I will be purchasing the Yamaha Tenere 700 Bars from you when I Buy the 700.
Thanks for the Video.
UAV OF TEXAS thank you! It’s helped us a lot to improve our crash bars. Computer simulations just don’t cut it
How much does this engine guard weigh?
I received my crashbars this week. I really like the minimalist style of the crashbars on the Super Tenere and they are competitively priced, but 2 things disappointed a bit (ordered mine from canadian distributor):
1. No instructions in the box, just the crashbars and a small bag of bolts. Went to your website, found no instructions there either.
2. I've owned many crashbars over the years and its the first time I've seen some with so much rippling going on in the inside of the bends. I'm sure once on the bike I won't notice them too much, but maybe its the thickness of the metal, or the method used to bend them, or the angles or the material?
Overall once I manage to install them, I'm sure they will protect my bike more than enough for the accidental drop. But just make sure to include instructions instead of stickers with your bars. Thanks!
We don’t include written instructions. Please refer to the installation video. The link is actually on our Canadian site. It’s one of the main, highlighted menu options: outbackmotortek.ca/vinstallations/#Yamaha
Know if you got adv bike the crash guard are the best. The brand I got on my bike has saved it from alot of damage three time in past to years ive had them on there.
s O great! Thanks for your feedback
Will these bars work with an ACD skid plate? These look fantastic! And best video test yet - made me cringe when you tossed your bike into the rocks
Tim Gelarden we don’t know about the fitment with other skid plates. Except ours.
loving your products more and more. What year tenere was that you used? I want to make sure I order the correct set.
Thanks
Appreciate your compliments! This was a 2010 model, but our crash bars are compatible up to 2021.
What is your ETA to release the Super Tenere bars to USA market?
Trialstire July
@@Outbackmotortek And for Canada?
Good Product. One thing I want to know is.. Are the tanks full of petrol and what difference will that make to the wight and the fall?
SpotEnigma not sure if the tank was full but had plenty of fuel in it. I doubt the difference would be significant with or without full tank. The bike’s already darn heavy.
@@Outbackmotortek Thanks for the reply and again Good Product wish you all the best and God bless
Do the bars fit the ZE model too? (2019-2021)
Yes
btw rear brake lever ruined
ⵠⴷⴶⵁⴸⵏⵖ the rest were saved by our crash bars.
I would like more protection down there...
That’s why we also offer a bash plate
Try condom ;)
@@timogronroos4642 lol! Now I realise that my comment sounds a bit odd! 😄
How much weight does this add?
Found it; 10 lbs total for both sides👍🏼
