I just saw one of the Raptor strip till bars at the Unververth Kalida plant the other day while driving truck for them... I hadn’t seen one yet until then and I work for UM! Had it hooked to a big John Deere tractor...now I get a more in depth look thanks to Brian!
you all probably dont give a damn but does any of you know a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid lost the account password. I love any tricks you can offer me
@Abdullah Chris Thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and im in the hacking process now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Honestly I thought that 9410 would struggle more but after a tune it will work great. We demoed a 16 row soil warrior strip till machine with a 580 quadtrac. We tested the strip till on about 1500 acres out of our 3500 of corn last year. Our main setback is time in the fall and spring . We have found that spreading on the nitrogen and potash and then using the field cultivator works better . But on hilly fields where erosion is a issue the strip till machine worked better. Not to many farms run strip till in our area. Our soils are heavy clay and silt . Keep up the good work and stay safe!
Brian, In our area 3 point 12 row is normal. A lot of guys will run 12 row strip-till with a 12 row planter attached (with lift assist wheels) all off the 3 point.
Heat up wrap with a tiger torch on low for about a minute and the wrap should separate from the truck or can try a rubber wheel in a drill to remove the wrap.
Pretty cool setup, and even better that you got to work with them directly on it like you did. As for the wrap on the truck, the battery powered heat guns just don't have enough oomph to get it done. Might want to consider something like a soldering torch like you'd use to sweat copper plumbing together. Obviously don't want to burn it off (lol) but the torch may help loosen the glue up easier.
I see that the cover is on the fertilizer barn, I didn’t see the live feed in the last video but it looks good. Like the strip till bar also, can’t wait to see it in action.
Hey Brian keep your heat gun around 70 to 80 degrees and at the very edge use a plastic spatula at the tip and start peeling back going top to bottom with the heat gun and it should come right off
We were able to plant 140 acres of wheat here in MN before it started raining. It's been raining here the last 2 days & it's supposed to rain tomorrow. Then maybe more moisture beginning of the next week. I guess there will be no fieldwork for a while.
That's quite a strip till bar. Yeah, good idea to beef up the 9R. Waiting to see how it works for ya. Good to see the wrap or roof on your fertilizer building. Looks real nice.
Wow, that strip-till bar is cool, have been anxiously waiting to see what it was and it didn't disappoint. Unverferth sure makes some nice implements, looking forward to hearing your review on it and hoping for some improved yields with it. Glad they chose you to do the testing for it.
Good video!!! Looks to do a good job and built heavy duty. Before you tune your tractor may want install an exhaust temp gauge before the turbo and a boost pressure gauge.
So do I understand this correctly ? With your guidance systems you can now come back behind the strip tillage unit and place your seed right where you need it in reference to the the fertilizer placement and not have disturbed all the soil. This basically allows you to cut your compaction and control your erosion problems all at the same time ? Very innovative solution to an age old problem. Great 👍 content, enjoyable viewing. 🇺🇸🦅🌏⚓️🇺🇸
Know some one been doing something like this with deep subsoiled ruts. An A set and a B set. Alternating each year which is used. Is this something similar here?
A great Ohio company. Looks like very well engineered piece of machinery. For decals an ERASER wheel works excellent and will not damage your paint. Any good auto parts store should have them. Not sure if HF does or not. The down side it will take several for a decal that size.
You need a heat gun that gets to about 600 degrees, I use a Wagner ferno, can also use a propane torch if you stay away and go quick. You have to get the glue to release, It still is a pain to pull off the longer it’s been on the worse it is to get off.
Finally got to see that stripper in action 😁 we absolutely love strip till in the south. We find it extremely beneficial, plus it looks pretty sweet stripping through 5’ tall cover crops......
Great video Brain, that Strip Till Bar looks like its really doing a very good job, I think it will get you those extra kilos per acre you need, be interesting to see this years corn crop Brain, Cheers for now, Best Wishes Trevor.W.Bacelli. Biloela Qld Australia.
You might need a torch to release a corner and then you might have to get a decal releasing spray then pull amd spray. Wraps aren’t meant to come off like regular vinyl decal.
I don't known anything about striptill so I assume you plant onto the strips or berms? The fertiliser is directly underneath the roots? Why do some 2x2 planters go to the side and under? Also what's the advantage between dry and liquid apart from storage obviously?
As a city boy who has played on a few farms theis is ver cool to see , how did you get to be part of the devolpment progect, that would be intersting to know!
Do they offer them with anhydrous ammonia or are they just liquid/Dry fertilizer machines?? We strip till running a orthman but only run anhydrous ammonia.
@@BriansFarmingVideos should've made sure you had enough horsepower to grow before you bought it I would've bought 550 plus horsepower or even a 9620r or 9560r plenty of power to grow without having to upgrade for awhile imo
It´s not about overworking it, when she starts to grunt on flat ground she´s already running at max capacity so you have no headroom for wet spots or going uphill. Also when you drop rpm too much, you drop hydraulic flow which means your fan isn´t running on full boil so you´re not applying correctly, yada yada yada. Precision operations like striptill isn´t moldboards anymore.
@@charlesdoepping5616 Most of those tractors are the same motor. Its all in the tuning. Hard parts are the same. You can save 30k by tuning it yourself
Nice video Brian. So,let's see if I understand this,so this strip bar is just for working the soil and putting in fertilizer. Then, you still have to come back and plant???? This I wasn't sure about. One thing I can and will say is,man things have really changed since my days on the farm. The way we did it back in the day was, first mowboard plow, then disks, then harrows, then the drill,or planter. One more question, is the Deere tuorboed????
I've got just a tiny bit of experience with removing decals and such. You want to use toluene. Toluene will cut the glue and take away the stickiness. Lacquer thinner or acetone will just make the glue runny and sticky. Sometimes you need need to give yourself an edge to get to the glue, so use a razor to get in. You also need to give the toluene time to get in, so you often have to hold it there will it can get started. Trust me, you'll know when it starts to come off.

Thanks so much you saved my account !
@Cairo Cory Happy to help xD
Thanks friends 👍
That is a monster of a unit !
Glad to see the John Deere was able to give you what you needed.
Looking forward to planting.
God Bless.
Looking tight man. How sweet does it get? A star is born. Innovation man, that’s what makes America great.
That's awesome that yall could be a part of getting a new property piece of equipment out to everyone.
Great video!! I foresee someday in the future we will strip till fertilize and plant all in one pass
Great vid Brian! I'm impressed with that bar so far thumbs up to them! You finally get everyone off your ass about showing it lol.
There is a primer you can put on the vinyl to help it stick. Any good commercial paint store will have it. The only thing it's not cheap.

So much excitement with the impressive strip till bar. Did you notice the roof appeared as if by magic on fert. barn....... ?
Farming is sure going high tech remember when everything was done by hand. Sure going to help make your life easier. Great video. Thanks again
Nice setup, glad to see striptill taking off these days finally
Very cool piece of equipment, the tech and engineering involved in agriculture is interesting to learn about. Thanks

I suspect that's the super strong stuff, get a good corner too hold onto; and pull hard! pull really hard!!?

Show a close up of fert placement. Does it put it all in the bottom of strip or mixed throughout? Nice looking rig
There are grinder pads made for removing things like vinyl and stuff without damaging paint badly.
Pressure washer or use a torch like you would use on copper for more heat.
No steerable axle for implement guidance?
There are rubber wheels that you put on a grinder that takes stickers off really easy. Of course you need to pay attention so you don't over do it.

If u let it bake in the hot sun it will slowly come off. The vinyl that is. Love ur vids.
Love the videos Brian watching from kalida Ohio home of unverferth manufacturing keep up the good work
Didn’t know that. I live near the Indiana border and close to the J&M plant, had no idea Unverferth was made here in Ohio...pretty cool
With those wraps, sometimes they're "air release", just get one area started and shoot some high pressure air under em and that will lift them off.
Thanks Brian!! 👍👍

They sell decal removers at harbor freight there a hard rubber wheel that doesn’t damage paint they work pretty good
The new poll barn looked nice.
Hey Brian what´s that at the end of the video the new fertilizer shed has a roof already?
If the Becks vinyl is in good condition you could vinyl over it. If you just do a basic design it’s not too pricey.
The new fert sheds coming in handy already!
Just got a strip of vinyl graphic to cover over the logo. You could even put your logo on it and cover up the Beck’s
Heat from direct sunlight helps remove vinyl or a heat gun
Wish you could also plant with your strip til setup only have to make a single pass . New machine looking great . Do you also plant Milo ??.
I can see by the row setting why they are using the small duals. Are the duals adjustable for width?
I’m excited for seeing this unit in action.
Brian, nice Strip-Till unit. Awesome vid as always. Keep them coming. Catchya at the next one. Stay safe!!
Brian - great job with the video. Unerferth found themselves a good partner. Will give them a lot of exposure.
I’m impressed!
That thing is huge! Cool toy Brian!

Does Unverferth have a loading auger/conveyer option?
Good Looking Rows.
Will there be any videos that go more in depth about using the 3pt bar last year?
We have this rubber air operated flap wheel thingy we use too take decals off with it works really well sorry I can't remember the name of it.
Can you put on anhydrous with it?
Looks like a great rig. Can't wait to see how this turns out
We have had some good luck with a heavy duty pressure washer removing decals
Good looking right there ole buddy.
You can use a decal eraser wheel on a drill to remove that decal, might take a while
You might need a torch to release a corner and then you might have to get a decal releasing spray then pull amd spray. Wraps aren’t meant to come off like regular vinyl decal.
Great Vlog, Great machine, look forward to seeing it working
Wallpaper steamer works great for removing wraps
Never got the chance to try one but have always been sold on the strip till concept.
That thing looks like a great time
Awesome video. Love seeing the strip till bar. Keep them videos coming 👍
Thanks for watching
Thats awesome. Bet a quad track would pull it no bbn problem 😄

Look into a wonder wheel I used one for removing the decals off a old ambulance it worked pretty good
Good to see them start making a strip till bar
A steam pressure washer might be able to remove the decal or hot water pressure washer. I know you can melt paint off with one
As a city boy who has played on a few farms theis is ver cool to see , how did you get to be part of the devolpment progect, that would be intersting to know!
Glad we finally got to see it
Strip till bar is awesome looking Brian
Is this to establish a rut or maintain it?
Do you reuse ruts like every other year with this approach
Do they offer them with anhydrous ammonia or are they just liquid/Dry fertilizer machines?? We strip till running a orthman but only run anhydrous ammonia.
How will the Unverferth be different than the Orthman 16 row pull type 1Tripr with Montag and dry fertilizer?
Great awesome video Brian , nice strip till bar
Looks like the strip till bar makes a nice seed bed.
Rapid remover and a plastic razor blade spray it on decal will bubble and fall right off
Back in my days on the farm working a tractor hard was normal. Now I see everyone seems to get concerned when they start to grunt a little bit.
Not concerned with grunting but I do want to be able to maintain a certain speed

Great video. Glad you don't have to keep the secret any longer.
Dougo would be cruising with a 12 row for sure 🤣 good thing it doesn't have markers.
But seriously cool machine.👍

For removing the wrap a steamer works pretty good
I used to take details off useding a propane torch
I think I’ll give that a try
I would like to see how much yield increase and cost savings with managed fertilizer applications.
Best way to peel a wrap is with a handheld propane torch.
