When people have sparse hair on the top of the head wearing it long accentuates the sparseness. Same thing happens when people use gel on top. Keep it short and keep it free of products.
Chateau De Brives is an absolute work of art! The circular entry hall, staircase and tile floor begin the beautiful adventure into a perfectly lovely edifice!
I don’t know what it is about you vlog (I do really) but out of all the vlogs I watch yours goes so fast and I want to keep watching more. Your editing, what you are filming, the people it’s all magical. It really is interesting and wonderful.
Marie wears 30 so well. She truly becomes more and more beautiful every single day. Philip's hair looks stunning. It brightens his face so much and is perfect for summer weather.
A fun outing - LOVE these trips to other chateaus. A video compilation at some point would be great advertising material for folks trying to select a chateau vacation or wedding venue. The toile bed set is magnifique! Welcome back Kat!
I thought Philip was looking at the beautiful painting on the wall, but it turned out he was looking at the mangy squirrel below it 😂 I have to say that pink sofa is gorgeous!!
I usually watch all the vlogs by the incredibly wonderful and awesome Stephanie on my Smart TV, so this is the first time that I've watched online and had the opportunity post a comment. These vlogs have been part of my everyday viewing ever since Escape To The Chateau DIY was available on the streaming app Peacock here in USA. Then to my big surprise, I discovered all the vlogs that have been posted on youtube and have been a loyal fan ever since. Looking back, I have no idea what I would be watching today if it weren't for the vlogs that Stephanie and her Lalande friends have created and posted. Could this is all be a result of Divine Intervention for those of us who have been separated from family during the lockdown in the past year, and regularly programed TV is full of repeats and uninteresting productions? I'm looking forward to future vlogs that give us all a glimpse of those beautiful villages and towns in France. So it's viva la France to Stephanie Jarvis and her friends, and BIG thanks and cyber hugs from America. Long live the queen of youtube!
I strongly recommend you have a full archaeological survey, to ascertain the positions of the curtain walls and towers; also to locate the missing gatehouse and possibly the site of the drawbridge. That is likely to be at the inner end of the present bridge, which is presumably on the site of the ancient one. Geophysical surveys, including ground-penetrating radar, should locate the missing walls and, if it has not been destroyed, the site of the drawbridge pit. Please also have the early roofs of the chateau dated by dendrochronology - I suspect the older part belongs to the second half of the 15th century, rather than the 16th. Machicolated towers like yours are commonly 15th century. Your vlog is by far the best in the chateau world. Warwick Rodwell, Norfolk
Yes, especially because Stephanie seems so keen on one day restoring them, a sentiment I can't help but agree. Imagine Chateau de Lalande as a full compound with enclosing protective towers, walls & moat system with a drawbridge! More than anyone could have envisioned on first seeing the Chateau 15 years while house hunting, or even a year ago!
@@barbibutton9619 yes of course expensive and far in the future after the rest of the Chateau has been restored, insulated, and decorated maybe season 12 of Chateau Diaries! Don't forget the potential mill restoration as well! In the meantime the gardens could be designed around this future to compliment eventual restorations and avoid tearing up installed garden. It will depend on our own and future viewers interests being maintained over the years, but each tower could accommodate maybe 2 apartments or more single rooms. The Chateau has the potential of becoming a significant tourist destination & therefore economic draw to LaLande's corner of rural France. What are we if not dreamers and Stephanie is remarkable at putting reality to dreams.
Phillip, hair always grows back. It’s fun to try new looks. You never know you come come to like it but if you don’t really like it, your bun is always fantastic.
Is it just me or would the missing tower be an ideal archaeological dig site? I can just imagine a bunch of archaeology students getting to grips with the site and making discoveries, as for the dry moat...

Won't that be incredibly expensive when there's so many areas that need renovated, insulated repaired etc?
That would be beneficial even if its just for knowledge sake and a correct sketch could be done just for a historical book of past and present.
