@Salvador Pais Turned out my Dad and little brother decided to steal and sell all my hallo Pokemon cards 8 or so years back. When confronted only anger blew up and said "Omg we are just organizing them for you!?". Now all the stolen cards are worth around 20-25k. Pokemon was my shit and I would of never sold them. Its sad to see a full original set collection but missing all the hallo cards. Life.
Just gotta keep moving forward, otherwise the anger from the past will cause you to loose that much more today. Just keep on trucking and keep on hustling toward your goals.
Santa Cruz mostly still does screen printing, they avoid heat transfer if at all possible. There's a love letters to skateboarding episode that brings up that fact. They only do hear transfer of its more then 3 colors and they still have the original screens for most of their og graphics.
The Vision pro known as Gator, yeah his Mom and step-Dad were in our hunting club in Healdsburg, Calif...I was I think 12 or 13 when I met him, must've been in 86, right before he went to prison for murder...his Mom was good people....
I destroyed most of those decks as a kid skating. Glad I got to enjoy them. The memories of skating are worth way more than the money. The Tony hawk black and purple deck was one of my first and it died quickly!
Where I grew up in Vancouver Canada we had a skate shop near by that sold awesome boards from the early 80s. The selection had many Hosoi Hammerheads, old Powell peralta, sims, Santa Cruz etc. The decks were selling for $15 / $20 dollars. But, we didn’t buy them because other shops were selling boards with the late 80s kick noses and more concave. We bought the new ones for $60 / $70, they were cool, I’d sleep with my new decks next to my bed. I watched the shop with all the old school decks go out of business, amazing how times change.
I've still got an original Rob Roskopp that I picked up at the original factory for Santa Cruz boards in Soquel, Calif... it was what I got in return for a Jeff Kemp whale tail board that broke in half the first time I ollied with it, there was zero glue right in front of the tail, none at all..the Roskopp I think is the 5, where the creature is almost all the way thru the target, and he's got the entire eyeball in his claw, it's sky blue with the graphics intact, I think I rode it like a dozen times, I was 13 in 1986 when I got it, and I broke my ankle sliding into second base like a week or two after I got the board....it has original Independent trucks, no rails no tail guard, Suregrip grip tape, T-bolts that are flush on top of the board, German bearings, and original Slimeball wheels (which I was gonna switch out cuz I thought they were too soft) ...I've also got an '87 G&S Chris Miller street board, it was one of my favorites, I liked how wide it was up front and how it narrowed to the tail...I rode that quite a bit, but the graphics are pretty much intact, faded, but very much visible....
I don’t know if that’s former Santa Cruz pro Claus Grabke or not but if it was he should’ve gotten his autograph and giving him another thousand dollars. Rob Roskopp is now an executive at NHS Santa Cruz, Independent, OJ etc
ya that was a sleeper buy... THE STONER appraisal really helped the store out there... once again... BUT THIS was my favourite episode ever... EVERYBODY WON TOO
i found a og claw deck at a salvation army and thought it was knockoff and it had extremely bad razor tail so i cut the tail down and sanded it and then looked up claw deck.....
My first skateboard was the black & green Rob roskopp face with slimeball wheels. Can’t remember what kind of trucks I had. still have the Jeff kendell graffiti deck that was infamous for having the word ‘pussy’ on it
I've got the Roskopp 5 I think it's called, it's where the creature had broken almost completely thru the target, and he's got the eyeball in his claw...it's sky blue with the graphics damn near perfect, I never put rails on it cuz I think I rode for like two weeks, broke my ankle pretty bad and just never rode it after that, I got it straight from the original Santa Cruz factory in Soquel, Calif as a replacement for a Jeff Kemp that I snapped in half...I got a Chris Miller that I liked better so when I healed up I ride that instead...the Roskopp is just sittin in a box in my garage I believe, or in my storage unit...
Nope, back then the only boards that had that crap were the Powell-Peraltas, that's why I never owned a Steve Caballero, even though he's from my hometown and I watched him shred on the halfpipe ramp he had in his backyard here in San Jose, Calif...he lived over by Andrew Hill High School, near what was a big Crip neighborhood called 7 Trees back in the mid 80's....If I remember correctly we saw Steve Steadham there one time, and Christian Hasoi (sp?) and one other dude, wtf was his name...damnit...can't recall the other dude who was there....
"I mean, I'm in love with them so don't ask me" all jokes aside, that's GREAT honest advice Chum Lee.
For $4500 for those, I wouldn't even have to think about it.
I wouldn't either,I'd rather have my 4,500 dollars in the bank than some skateboards that don't even have wheels
Not to think about it buy or not to buy? Lol
No Shit At Least 3 of those boards Are Worth 2000.00

I have never seen them pay what the item appraises at. Must be worth way more
WAY more.
Everything they buy is 3 times what they pay
the vintage tony hawk probably worth more than what was paid for the whole
@@davidwong2 imagine if someone bought the entire vintage haul of 90s skate shoes and 00s in mint or okay condition
Obviously people that have never ran a business, keep talking on UA-cam though.

I agree. Even if it's a classic reissue its prob a screen. That Roskopp jumped out at me immediately! Badass with great shape.
I remember most of those decks from back in my day. My first deck was a Vision Agent Orange.
Thats awesome! My first was a Vision Hippie Stick.
The Vision pro known as Gator, yeah his Mom and step-Dad were in our hunting club in Healdsburg, Calif...I was I think 12 or 13 when I met him, must've been in 86, right before he went to prison for murder...his Mom was good people....
i had a neil blender coffee break
Nice mine was a G&s Billy Ruff

Corny as fuck lol
No way he paid 4500 for a collection they valued at 4500, it must be worth at least double
Eric Castillo Im not an expert on collecting boards. How rare are these?
The hawk alone is worth 4,500
Yeah, they’re gonna sell each of these decks for at least 1k each.
@Matthew Telyatinskiy thats why the shows acted lmao
They're just going to go up in value it's so hard to get a board brand new from 20 to 30 years ago because there is no one collecting boards back then

Truth of the matter is those decks can n will be sold for 700-4K each

The buyer guy shakes hands like a right knob.
If he sold them individually through artofskateboarding or eBay he could have got double that price
Would be too late for that coke deal

I was wondering about that too. he was wearing a 'nixon' shirt, looks like pro flow to me.
someone else thinks it might be Rune.
look at that watch.

I still have the Geoff Grosso (R.I.P) Coke deck
"Jeff" Grosso
That's the 1st time I've seen them sell it for what the expert said that it was worth or buy it for what the expert said it was worth
Smart move thats an easy 12000 today. Even more if they are all original NOS...
@The Real Gordon Ramsay New old stock
Should have definitely sold those separately to get more out of them, worth way more that 4500
i found a og claw deck at a salvation army and thought it was knockoff and it had extremely bad razor tail so i cut the tail down and sanded it and then looked up claw deck.....
$4500 is a amazing deal!! Better than a worthless supreme deck with no history worth $1000s
That Alva Bill Danforth deck is sick!!!
I used to buy that expert boards pharmacy few years back nice to see him on the show lol
I had and thrashed and snapped quite a few of these Boards lol👍🤪👍
Memories !
the stabb Dressen Zorlac and Pink hawkare worth the 4500. great deal
Those 1st edition boards coast way way way more today.
Priceless collection!!
If you don’t believe me you can look it up, he could have sold that for over 12 grand. No problem.
Hell yeah for 4.5K, huuuraaa!
A Roskopp Eye, Staab Genie, tom knox firepit, these are all boards worth a fortune in mint condish...
Thanks for the share man that was pretty cool!
If he would have pit them on E Bay he woulda cleaned up.
I was hyped to see you upload!
Yeah that’s right don’t even try to lowball a skater he knew he would’ve walked away skateboards are works of art

pink one value at $3500.
4500 that's a steal
4500? Parted out they'd bring in far more. Guy just wanted to be on TV.

500 at least for each one
And he got finessed....
Not really old decks from the 80's aren't worth as much as people think they are. Nowhere near what a deck from the early 70's goes for.
@@mikecynic5167 not at all, it all depends on the brand and what it is. Some fa and supreme decks that were made in the early 2000s go for thousands

Most of those are late '80s and not particularly desirable. The Danforth is the standout, not the post-Newton Zorlac.
