I always admired you. I took inspiration from your fighting style, your “idgaf” attitude. Came out to your fights to cheer you on. Pulled all nighters and fought the giant snowstorm in New York the night of your fight with Cejudo. Even after you were beat I still cheered you on. But that whole drug fiasco, made me not want to care about you at all. I hope youre doing well now and learning from your mistakes. I want to think the best in people...so I am slowly becoming your fan again, but I hope this time, TJ you will be honest :) Sincerely, Former superfan/reemerging fan
We all felt that way. Tj was at a time my favourite fighter and im not sure if he'll ever be that again. But if he comes back clean and dedicated, he'll have my respect forever
Thus has been the best coaching video on this combo I have ever seen. Great coaching. The step before the kick, the right arm block as you kick plus great camera angles. Well done lads and thank you.
I really like TJs footwork. Seems so effortless and efficient but he seems to just make so many good angles and distance changes in such a small amount of time
Keep making vids man! You’re in my top 3 mma fighters right now and have been for awhile. I love the Duane ludwig videos too, but I’m glad to see you’re making videos too so that way I can get a bit more
Keep these coming TJ. Not that this itself is new to me, Ive been training Muay thai awhile, but I love these kinds of videos. They have helped tremendously in my training(Ive been training over 3 years and ongoing in muay thai, and immediately prior to that, BJJ for 1 year, so Im kinda at an intermediate stage rather than a beginner, or advanced for that matter, and we spar every single class 2 days a week I love it). I like watching these types of videos and then incorporating what I learn into my own shadow boxing routine(I train 3-4 times a day, 20-30 minute sessions each) if it fits my style and can work for me. I vastly prefer blocking to evasion as its far more reliable, and you also dont get moved out of position like you do when you have to dodge and weave deeply to avoid a series of strikes making it very hard(for me anyway) to strike back until I have reset. Correctly blocking/parrying each strike though, blocking esp since it allows the biggest margin for error while still defending, is my favorite means of defense aside from footwork. Head movement is only useful vs punches and even then you better be sure they arent faking you out and throwing kicks - headkicks esp - when you roll to one side; you could easily weave INTO a headkick dramatically increasing its striking power, giving them a KO. I like blocking and fading away from more powerful strikes(while still taking the impact on my forearms/gloves, though mostly forearms) before returning with my own combo.
Really Tj i’m watching these sports because of three people (Nick diaz nate diaz and you). Whatever people gone say about you , what i see it’s a true champion the best ever (135) and the first who try to take another belt from that division💪🏼 Come back stronger!!! (sorry for my English
Loved watching your fights, I hope you get back in there soon and clear out the division and slither your way back to the top! It's awesome that you embraced the "snake" moniker. These videos are very helpful for me because I don't have the budget anymore to train in a gym. Thanks and I hope everything goes well for you
You are a GOAT 🙏 Can you do a video on how to fight like a southpaw. I'm a orthodox but I been wanting to learn on how to fight like a southpaw so I can be really unpredictable, but they arent videos on UA-cam on how to like a fight southpaw. Even if they are little tips or pointers or things to keep in mind besides keeping your lead leg outside of your opponent, while you are in southpaw would be extremely helpful.
Well Tj you have won me over. I always respected your style for being so unique. Couple that with that dog mentality you have and you have a recipe for a champ right there. But then you just had to go and make some amazing content. You’ve got yourself a new old fan Tj. Keep up the good work. Ps. Your fights with Barão were awe-inspiring. I mean god damn, you made him look like he was an amateur. You killed baby Aldo. Props to you for it.
Hey champ, I bought the fit to fight program and it’s awesome!. Is there any chance you could put some tutorials on Elbow strikes in one of these UA-cam videos.
Bro your footwork is another thing, best footwork in MMA. Not saying this cause it´s your channel, I honestly think you and Cruz´ve got the best footwork in the game, the thing is you make it look more easy and artistic, Cruz´s one while being great, looks weird and over complicated, lol.
@@jaredmartin7040 The reason I would say tj is the best is because his sticking flows perfectly with his wrestling, and that's what I personally think style bender and Conor do not use a lot. As just PLAIN Strickers thought i would agree conor and style bender are better.
