ABSTRACT
We constantly hear that change should be affordable and cost effective. True, but, in reality, that's easily said than done. Complexity makes change hard. We can't shy away from the hard problems posed by domains and business needs. So, how can we solve complicated problems without getting dragged into the quagmire of what appears to be an inevitable complexity? In this keynote, an award winning author and software practitioner will share experiences and observations from working on multiple software projects, about what leads to complexities, the traps developers and organizations fall into, and what we can do to effectively deal with [...]

One of the best tech talks that I have ever watched, Thank you Venkat, you are a great role model for programmers...
👍
This is a great talk. He knows how to deliver stuff, branching out and continuing from where he was!
This is definitely what i was looking for awesome talk. And i would add that sometimes making code more flexible makes it much harder to maintain. So if you don't need certain things in your code don't make it as flexible as much u can.
Great talk. Great humor
Worth the watch
Venkat is one of my favorites. I’ll listen to any talk of his.
The library/framework = dating/marriage joke was amazing! :D
The talk of all talks!
I am especially thankful that he did _not_ use that darn buzzword "cooool" in a speech almost one hour =)
I LOL´ed many times!
One of my most favorite presenter ever
Pv
Great talk about all too common problems and the sad state of the software project world.
Great presentation and analogy to describe his experiences.
a great talk
THIS IS SOOOOOOO COOOOOL!
Great talk
This is just great talk of one really mature developer with a lot of battles behind him. Really cool
5mins = 7hrs
Great talk!
Convert your anger into understanding 😁
You don't use maven ... maven uses you ..so true
The cpp code was written by competitive programmers

Venkat does not understand the difference between complicated and complex. Big difference. He conflates the two. You can't talk about this subject without that understanding
Complicated things do not exist. Only overly complex ones do.
Only bhasan no information in the lecture
He did provide information, only if you could understand. this is a technical conference and not a "how to code" learning session
