I always think that you pull everything together in a good way! I really like the large leaves across the page and yes the ink was a winner! Buttons are so fun! I like the 4 hole style because you can make an X in the middle. I was just thinking that I don’t remember seeing any 3 hole buttons…possibly they would hold open the button holes because of the way that they would be sewn on, anyway I may try it!! Just for fun! (There must be a way to fake it!!) Also I think that embossing a button is fun, maybe just the small top or just the larger bottom if it’s two layers like yours which I really like!! Thank you! P.S when I get into trouble I think I go for gold…it rescues me!! Thank you for your inspiration!💕
Sadly, I own about a billion buttons. I have them from my Mom, Granny, and now my sister. And then there are the millions that I bought myself. Vintage, new, fake, real, antique….and so on. Oh dear. So so many. Tucked in everywhere in every room. lol. Love how your pages turned out. I have a page that I hate. It was for aged, day 17. I walked away a few days ago. I’ll go back and look at it soon. I think it’s going to take more that some ink to fix it. lol. It’s pretty bad. It was the middle of the night….what can I say. Hugs, treen 💕💕💕💕
Oooooh, I’m perfectly on time 🤩🫶🏾 I am up to #22 at the moment, but I’ve been enjoying how you merge 2 of the days together. I’m going to do that for the prompts I still have to do so I can catch up ❤ TFS
I have always collected buttons and intended to use them for this prompt. But I love the idea of the faux buttons and that’s what I want to do. Thanks for another great video.
Hi Meg, I love how you made both pages! As usual, I haven't made my button page yet but do have the components for it. I am an avid button collector and have way too many to count in almost every room in my house. I think one bathroom is button free.(only because it was my son's bathroom, now he's out on his own, it's fair game) but, I couldn't bring myself to use them so I made buttons from an old book page and covered with scraps from other pages in this journal. TFS 😊
I love the addition of the ink and the paper buttons ❤ Could you put coffee over the white paint to soften it? Would it stick? Love following your journal process 😊
Brilliant - and thank you for showing how you went 'wrong' and kept working through it; it's reassuring to know that even artists like you struggle sometimes. Both pages have come out great! Can I just ask where you get your wonderful transfers from? I'd love to try them out!
I enjoyed your video. I liked everything about it, the leaves looked very nice. Not sure if the word you were looking for on making the buttons glossy, was it embossing powder? Happy Journaling!
I'm a new viewer and thought I'd pop in to say how much I'm enjoying your channel and that your style of found poetry was written about by Willim S Burroughs as Cut Ups, except I think his were a little more random, he suggested it made subconscious chance rebel against the conscious order within the creative process. Originally Cut-Ups were made by Tristan Tzara, (as part of Dada movement) the techniques have also been used by Bob Dylan, David Bowie and Kurt Cobhain - so you're in very good company :D
I’m so glad you were “unprepared” and without actual buttons! The button you made was super cute. Loved watching the process!
I absolutely love watching you create something out of nothing. Love the style
Beautiful Meg ❤
Love how you showed process of pushing through a page that seemed to be going wrong 😅 just gotta keep going!!!

oooh what gorgeous pieces 🥰
I like how the page turned out. Figuring out how to "correct" something on a page that we don't like is a real challenge.
Equal parts fun and frustration 😅
Wellllll I am off to make some Meg inspired buttons!!! Thank you for always making my day!!!
Faux buttons are such a brilliant idea, Meg! Might just give this a try, I've fallen behind on the prompts. Thank you for sharing ❤

Great page Meg, love how it all came together!😊

Ah that’s a good idea!
I've been loving this junk journal July challenge. My whole book theme has been SUMMERWEEN so today was Coraline, because she had button eyes. 🧡🖤🧡
Oh how fun!
You’re right! Glossy accents ❤
Natasa from Treasure Books has an entire video on faux buttons 🪡❤

the irony that the page about failure had a mistake
🤣🤣🤣
