I don't know what is more hilarious, the lorem ipsum on the thumbnail or the position of the steam "DECK". I think it's the best thumbnail I've ever seen in a Dohna Dohna video (or any alicesoft VN) lol.
I hope Meteor World Actor works on Steam Deck. I wanna play Dohna Dohna, but I was planning on making Meteor World Actor my first Johren purchase. Johren really has been the only thing holding me off on them, but I might buy them and then just use a pirated version, so I don't have to mess with stupid DRM.
@@Opebin Hey! I actually realized that Meteor World Actor was one of their DRM-free games, but they also have a big sale going on where the game like $12, ((but with a signup bonus it's only like $5-$8 (depending on how you buy it, because the site is retardedly strict)). I just figured I'd post this in case there's anything else you wanted or someone else sees this message in the next week while the sale is going on.
Doesn't really support gamepad as far as I know, only a few shortcuts work on keyboard buttons so you'll mostly be using a stick or trackpad to move the mouse around
@hyoun it works on steam deck just not purchasable on steam. You can set it at as a non-steam game to launch within the library if that's what you mean
I got the japanese version running by enabling jp locale on the deck and by adding launch option to use said locale for dohna dohna.

thank you i had fun making it lol
Is this online game that need constant updates each weeks?
For anyone who thinks that DD is lagging on Deck you're wrong. Game had same weird fps spikes in battle even on modern pc and that's still looks fine
Let me guess Johren's ver? My JP copy doesn't chug
@@nicksjacku9750 no idea about original JP/ Also I use Cracked Johren ver so I doubt that there should be any drm related lag.
I haven't got that on pc... maybe amd tech relating to it idk.
Can someone tell me if i buy the game from Jast Usa (Drm free) will it work on the steam deck?
I hate the Johren DRM I have a DRM free exe for Dohna Dohna if you want me to send it to you, so you can use your keys on other more stable devices.

That might be the safest way to do things, sad to say

nice video! want to ask how did you get it to run on a steam deck. tried GE-proton, did not work.
Thanks! I use Proton 7.0-4, hope that helps
This game doesn't seem to support controllers, have to use a mouse to play
I really wish I can put my hands on a physical version but i guess it must be difficult ... Also can we play with a gamepad ?

Where can I buy Dona Donna?
Is it possible on steam too?
Unfortunately not released on Steam you can buy it on Johren, not sure about other English storefronts
@@Opebin I know that steam decks and steam are linked.
Can't play on steam?

@@Opebin Thank you
Pretty interesting
They don't give out more uses either so I ended up just using the Japanese exe with my deck and switching to linux on my desktop. DRM fucking sucks.
That DRM seems awful. I've never bought a game from Johren and I think I'm going to keep it that way.
I don't blame you, I didn't find out it worked on a 3 strikes rules until after I had already purchased this. Was too excited as an Alicesoft fan lol
