- In January 2011 The Zombies performed a superb set to 120 enraptured guests packed into Metropolis Studios in West London. Led by founder members Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent, the group performed a veritable 'Best Of' the Zombies (She's Not There, Time Of the Season, much of Odessey & Oracle) and Argent (Hold Your Head Up) as well as Colin Blunstone's solo work.

It's amazing how his voice just keeps getting better and better as he goes on. We are so lucky to still have him treating us to performances.
Your comments are spot on!
I was 12 when I heard this, I'm 66 now.
Still one of my all time faves...xxxxx
What a voice.
As far as I'm concerned, Colin is the greatest male vocalist that ever lived.
Colin Blunstone.....still sings it beautifully....
What a fantastic singer, his voice is melodic
Colin's voice remains melodic and hauntingly beautiful!! Amazing!!!
OMG I've found it again.... Beautiful..
One of the all time greatest singers. Colin Blunstone!
The boy can still sing. Beautiful.
I’ve been listening to The music of CB for what must be 30 years. I can’t say that his voice gets better but I can say that he has done a great job in preserving it. I read that he works very hard at vocal exercises to slow down the inevitable effects of age.
COLIN YOU ARE FANTASTIC THIS SONG IS THE BEST LOVED IT FIRST TIME AROUND AND STILL LOVE IT THANK YOU .
What a fantastic tune Russ Ballard composed!! What a cordial, thoughtful singing Colin has!!
Fabulous singer. Never received full critical acclaim. But delighted to see Colin has new album under Zombies tag with Rod Argent.
Remains such a superb pop song, delivery, lyrics, arrangement 😎👌
This is one of the best versions of the song out there.
What a song! I love that moment at 2.51 where Colin hits that note and the guitarist looks at him as if to say "Nailed it Blunstone, you talented so and so". Fantastic performance all round.
This is just great ..Unique voice. Well done Colin...
Super performance by gifted musicians. Love those vocals. Wow !!
Amazing voice and he can still get up there…beautiful!
You nailed it Colin.
Seeing the Zombies live in concert earlier in 2014 has definitely been one of the high points of my year so far. Yes, 6000crazy, I was waiting in fear for those high notes....Colin Blunstone hit each one no problem!
What a voice, what harmonies, what a song…..absolutely marvellous
Seconded - the clearest, most expressive voice ever - not to mention perfect pitch. He couldn't sing out of tune if he tried! His gigs are awesome; he's not young any more but still gets better! Old and Wise is a classic too.
Incredible voice ..blessed vocally
oh the memories that song brings back....where did you go.....
What a great band. Good to hear Colin doing what he does so well
Yes, this band was great. A wonderful performance.
Wow what a voice. Outstanding
JIm Rodford, the bass player, died on 20th January 2018. He had been playing with the Zombies just a few days before. He had also previously played with the Kinks, and Argent. His son is playing drums on this video.
What an amazing vocalist.
2:53 guitarist can't believe the purity and strength of Colin's voice
wow-vocal chords from heaven-blessed and beautiful
loved this song back in the day so glad I found it again he has to be one of the best singers I've ever heard the same magic's still there.
Spectacular voice!! 💖
Perfect, Colin. Beautiful ❤
never felt so good hearing this song again
Love this, fanatstic !
at 2:38, when he realizes he's going for that high note at the end. Great singer
Great performance. Really enjoyed it. 1st introduction to any of these guys was buying "It's Only Money" 45 in the 70s. Went on to buy the double live LP "Encore". Really liked this Russ Ballard track & discovered the Colin Blunstone 45 version. Then looked up the history & found "Say You Don't Mind" & the Zombies. Not long after, I bought "Moonflower" by Santana with their stonking versions of "She's Not There" & "Black Magic Woman" which led me down another path to Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac. Oh Well, music can be such a wonderful journey!
Wonderful Colin. ❤
Wow he can still hit those notes!
And manages to make it look easy!
Fantastic Colin!
Superb
Wow! Brilliant performance 🎶❤️🎶 Thank you for sharing ❤️
Bands in the past should be given a chance to show their greatness in today's generation where music is not as pure and sincere and sang from the heart...
Colin Blunstone has probably the best preserved pipes in the whole pantheon of prominent pension age popsters I'm thinking (note alliteration)..
He's better than most of the performers in their '20s.
Saw The Zombies last week in Berlin, (Nov 2018), Colin is still amazing as is Rod.
pure preposterous poppycock, pal :-) ... in truth, yes.
Born: June 24, 1945 (age 74 years), Hatfield, United Kingdom
Have only just come across this BRILLIANT
Absolutely Brilliant , what a singer
Excellent.
Exquisite!
Beautiful
impeccable
The zombies are a superb live band
Legit musicianship is in such dire straits these days. As these types leave the planet one by one it will only get worse. Happy day!
Sublime!
impressive!
such a band of brothers!
Great!
Nice !
Masterclass
Brilliant
Seeing Blunstone with his band next month in Derby. Can't wait.
Fantastic love song
Incredible vocal, why Colin isn't a world renowned singer/writer I don't know given the mediocrity & hype of modern singers.
+Andrew Cox Great Singers like Colin Blunstone, just do not get any or hardly any Airplay....
He is Andrew!
Colin Blunstone - world renowned vocal LEGEND
What a wonderful voice. Not changed a bit either. 😊
Still has the voice! 😍
Voz maravilhosa parabens
beautiful tune written by Russ BALLARD for Colin’s solo album..
Colin can still hit that extremely high ‘are’ when this was recorded.
Now that is a singer right there - the current crop of nasal warblers could learn a lot from this........,
Who is the drummer. Oh, its an powerful song, tea
My emotional.
…superb, CB a still has it in spades…
The zombies and america almost similar🥰
is that Jim Rodford on Bass ...
Yes, and his son Steven Rodford on drums.
I’m confused 🤔 who played/performed the original of this?
All these decades later and I find out russ composed this song I know he composed one or more for rainbow funny thing is I didn't buy it at the time
Sorry again who's the drummer??
Drummer is Steve Rodford. He's related to other band members. The bass player on this video is his dad, Jim Rodford. Jim was the bass player in Argent (as well as Kinks & Animals). Jim was also Rod Argent's cousin.
Bill Murray's long-lost brother?
Me neither. Guile and cunning will get you a long way mind. Say you do not mind.
This Zombies version is superior to the original recording. It is a well written song.
Was the drummer being played per hit?? Very unsympathetic playing
Ridiculous unqualified comment 🤦🏼♂️
Great vocal from Colin as always... terrible ol basher drummer ruins it.
Good on the lad for keeping doing what he loves to do...don't be afraid to hang up your gloves though when it gets to much👍god bless you.
The masterpiece.
zombies 4 ever,,,,,,!
