I own the IXDAO with the black dial and can confirm the test result from your video overall. Seen from the front, the workmanship of the IXDAO is perfect, but more care should have been taken to smooth the edges of the case on the back! The edges are simply too sharp and I refinished them with a korun stone myself. Until this is approximately perfect, I have to repeat this rework again. In order to receive an unreserved recommendation, this work should be carried out carefully by the manufacturer. I am always pleasantly amazed at the accuracy of the PT5000. For me this offers almost the same level of quality as the original ETA 2824-2.
I own the IXDAO in grey with the icon and in blue with the text and SW200. That is how much I love this watch. Fortunately mine has no QC issues and looks amazing. Both of mine came with half-links.
really want to pull the trigger on this watch but cannot decide on dial colour. Ive already got a lot of blue and green in my collection so Im thinking either this white version or the black. I think you made the right choice with the text version as well. Thanks for the review!
Gorgeous watch! Thanks for the video 🎉 Im waiting for my ingeniour homage from Specht & Sohne, same design, but a sub $100 homage. Likely not to the same standard as your IXDAO but it will likely make the cut for my budget
I might pick that one up in the future, although the flathead screws don’t look as nice. I’m also curious about the quality of the Escapement time version.
The designs to make butterfly classes that have on the fly micro adjust.... The IWC didn't actually come with it... But they're supposed to release a micro adjust clasp (for probably a lot of additional money) sometime soon... The links aren't that big... This will fit most people pretty well but micro adjust is so nice

Lucky you. Mine came with a misaligned dial and the ixdao store refused to my email queries on a fix.
the gap between the case and bracelet not aligning with lug width is just driving me nuts
Another sharpness is at the end link connector, luckily can be filed down with sandpaper.

@@realestwatchreviews Ah I have seen the mysterious code one also, not sure about the branding, but it sure is decent value!
@@realestwatchreviews have you got it? any videos out?
Hey 👋🏻, Ix&Dao are selling half links to the Engineer. On their website ☝🏻🤗
They sell half links 2 for $15.
so, aqua or white?
Why don't they offer classic diver's clasp? Tsuyosa does...
I think they want to show off as much of that bracelet design without the interruption of the clasp.
@@realestwatchreviews Practicality first!!!..))
@@sergiymarchenko1002 I agree!

Hello! How do you think? Does Hruodland have the same finishing?
I have not seen the Hruodland in person.
How is the readability on the white dial?
There is a good amount of contrast between the hand set and the dial. Not a problem. Of course, darker dials will have better legibility.
What store did you buy from? All the AliExpress links everyone posted in all their videos are expired.
IX DAO official store still has them. That’s where I bought mine. You can also get it from their website. If the link is down then email them.
never liked this citizen. too big and weird. that ixdao is really nice, tho
It's a nice watch, but at that point I'd go straight for the replica, as soon as it comes out. I mean, what's the point to have such idhentical watch?
I know what you mean but a lot of the popular ali express watches are indeed homages.
I doubt there'd be a replica of the IWC Ingeneiur though, considering the low demand of the watch itself.
I wouldn't wear a replica. Branding is definitely where I draw the line
