I am so impressed with your formulation skills! 🤩 Would be great if those ingredients would be available here in the EU, or a ready made lipstain. So far I tried either a super hardcore (and very uncomfortable) product, or a comfortable lipstick, which needs to be checked every 10 minutes, because it transfers everywhere, and bleeds into fine cracks around the mouth 😖
My book has plenty of different colour blends that you could use with this base :) This is part of this year's cranberry theme, hence the reds. humblebeeandme.com/make-it-up-order/
I'm a bit confused: In the video and on the blog post you show silicone elastomer (a powder), in the description box you have written silicone gel (which TKB also carries) I just want to double check before I place a TKB order... Thank you. And thanks for sharing. It looks amazing and I want to try it ☺️
Thank you for the chapters in the video- I haven't gotten any pigments so I don't intend to make this, but I watched the pigments mix into the base several times. It's so satisfying!
I always link all the ingredients and packaging for any given formulation in the blog post, which is linked in the description box below the video (that's one of the many reasons I highly suggest reading the blog post as well as watching the video! If you're not sure what I mean by the "description box", read this: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/whats-the-description-box-on-youtube/.). Sometimes those links break because they're always off-site links, or sometimes the store I've linked to isn't in your country. That's why I also have a giant page of places to shop all over the world, which you can find here: www.humblebeeandme.com/resources/. It doesn't have every country in the world, but it does contain all the online stores I know about. If your country isn't listed, that's because I don't know about any online stores in your country. You could try looking for a local Facebook group for people who like making soap & other cosmetics-they may be able to recommend places to shop. And for some more discussion on ingredients, I recommend these FAQs: www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/why-dont-you-only-use-ingredients-that-are-easily-available-globally/ www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/what-ingredients-should-i-purchase-when-getting-started/ www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/is-there-one-place-i-can-buy-everything/ www.humblebeeandme.com/faqs/why-do-you-use-so-many-new-fancy-hard-to-get-ingredients/
Different suppliers have different focuses/strengths; TKB's selection of high-performance cosmetic ingredients is unrivalled, so yes, many of my cosmetic formulations feature ingredients from them-like their Mousse Medium, which is a proprietary product (as stated in the video). It's a great ingredient to have on hand if you love cream cosmetics and is much cheaper than investing in all the component ingredients :) That said, it's been nearly two months since I shared a formulation using an ingredient that could only be purchased from TKB, so you have plenty of other free formulations to choose from. Happy making!
Could you please make such lipstick from the scratch and not add any pre-made base ingredient like how you added TKB's products. We want to make from the scratch
Do you know where a can buy online Methyl Gluceth-20. Making cosmetics only sells it in bulk. I emailed them but no go. Is there an adequate substitute. I’m making IGK’s scalp scrub or trying to. I love it but it’s too pricey. Gas and food prices keep going up up up. That’s another video though. Necessity is the mother of invention they say. Thank you FULL LIST OF INGREDIENTS Sucrose, Glycerin, Methyl Gluceth-20, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate, Juglans Regia (Walnut) Shell Powder, Fragrance, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil, Juglans Regia (Walnut) Seed Oil, Menthyl Lactate, Vinegar, Amodimethicone, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Aqua/Water/Eau, BHT, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Salicylate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional.

The formulations in my book, Make it Up: The Essential Guide to DIY Makeup and Skin Care, use more readily accessible ingredients :) humblebeeandme.com/make-it-up-order/

I'm afraid not-but have you looked at the scalp scrub formulation I shared earlier this year? :)
