Thanks ! Hopefully I'll be able to travel with Singapore Airlines next year .With this type of flight it would be mure sensible to have a snack after departure and a full breakfast in the morning....
Singapore Airlines provide amenity kits to business class passengers, on flights that are longer than 5 hours, upon request. I have flown on Singapore Airlines business class from Singapore to Melbourne and back, and I always request for an amenity kit during each flight. However, their amenity kits aren't as well-stocked as Emirates Airlines' business class amenity kits.
I didn’t get one… certainly asked but was only handed slippers and an eye shade 🤷🏻♂️ if anything, this proves that there are innate problems with service levels at SQ.
We fly to Europe every year, Business Class, been on most airlines but love Singapore Airlines over all others (ANA/Cathay equally second, Thai/Emirates/Lufthansa & others in the middle, Qantas/BA equally a long way last), although we did love the Emirates 380 with the lounge and bar at the rear of the top deck. We've not flown Qatar.
Apparently Qatar’s Q Suites are something else altogether so it might be worth checking them out during your next flight to Europe. The 777 bar on Virgin Australia was something very special too. Such a shame they no longer fly the type.
Thanks for watching 😁 frequent flyer points are definitely worth investigating. There’s a lot of opportunities for affordable points earnings which can then be turned into flights, like I did in this case. Meanwhile, tomorrow I’ll be off to LAX in economy so, you win some, you lose some 😂
This makes me wonder how JAL business class would fare for a three way head to head comparison between JAL, ANA, and Singapore. Thanks for this video Adrian :)
We just flew Melbourne to Seattle return with SIA in Premium Economy. We were pretty underwhelmed. The food was hit and miss, the entertainment was not best in class and the service was fairly bland. Not a patch on Emirates!
I haven’t yet flown with Emirates, but agree that SQ is lacklustre on the service front. I’ve just flown Fiji Airways from LAX to SYD and can confirm their service now ranks as some of the best I’ve ever experienced in the skies. Review coming soon.
@@TheCruiseandTravelGuy Adrian just as a point of reference we flew Emirates business class a few years ago to Dubai and on to London and returned to Dubai There were limousine transfers at every stop and the cabin service was unbelievable and for some reason we flew Qantas business class from Dubai to Sydney and with all due respect to our national carrier the quality of service was second rate. Our last Qantas flight to Singapore was pretty average as well, the iPad entertainment system failed somewhere over Alice Springs. Looking forward to Fiji Airways review.
I recently flew premium economy with Singapore Airlines and was very disappointed. I found the crew to be grumpy and it took them an hour to bring me headphones. Yes I timed it. I understand they get busy but they just had to get and give. Not too much time taken I would think. They bumped quite a few passengers, including my husband, with the trolley when going up and down the aisle and didn’t even say sorry. Then when they got to us with food one of the selections was gone. So no choice. Yes I know you can book ahead but we weren’t able to as we were away for 4 weeks and crossed over the change of month and it was an upgrade on a tour so we weren’t able to change it. 🤦🏼♀️ needless to say I will try to avoid flying with them again.
Sounds over exaggerated and likely critical regardless the airline. SQ crew are so highly trained that to say they bumped multiple people and didn’t even say sorry is just frankly unbelievable 😂
@ I respect you have your opinion but we were the last seat in middle section premium economy and could see right to the front. Yes it did happen. It doesn’t matter how much training someone has they still can be grumpy and bump people. I was doing my own review and that is why I noted things and timed how long it took to get my head phones for my review. I chose to put it down to having a bad day but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.
That doesn't sound good at all. An hour to bring headphones is unacceptable, frankly. My experience with Singapore Airlines service has been mixed, but in general, I've never experienced what I would frame as excellent customer service onboard their planes. My point of reference for that is 7 long haul flights, all in business class, flown on a variety of 777, 747, A380 and 787 aircraft.
@ lucky it was on a 14 hour flight so I still needed them. In the end one of the business class staff saw I was trying to get the attention of … anyone and stopped and asked me if I needed something. When I told him I had waited an hour he was upset and apologised 🤷🏼♀️

Yes I think that would make more sense too

I’m envious Adrian. I’m flying Jetstar business class to Singapore on Saturday. Not quite the same. 😂
😆 don’t feel too envious, I’m flying to LA tomorrow in economy - safe travels!
Looks lovely Adrian! Beyond my budget but nice to see! A small point... please use metric - you're an Aussie we don't 'do' feet and inches!

Oooh I’ll have to add that one to the list for the future 😏
Even the bottom of the list would still be better than any flight out of the US.
@@tillykukla9684 flying AA later today, so I’ll be able to confirm soon 😅

Emirates is outstanding
