Carrier Strike Group Twelve (CSG-12 or CARSTRKGRU 12) is one of four U.S. Navy carrier strike groups currently assigned to the United States Fleet Forces Command. Carrier strike groups gain and maintain sea control as well as project naval airpower ashore. USS Gerald R. Ford is the aircraft carrier assigned as the strike group's flagship.

I didn't see this reply until I noticed your most recent video posted today! Thank you for this update on your situation and life my friend, it is great to know where you have been and I appreciate your reply.
I am amused by your wife's claims hahaha
I hope that your coding course has gone well and I wish you good luck in life and with the future of this channel, it's always good to see an update from you
A Carrier battle actual battle formation takes a 3 American states distance. Yes that's how far a Naval Carrier radar net is.
They actually shorten their net when Traveling through the Middle East straights and Indian Ocean. But once back on the Pacific or Atlantic Oceans. They spread their full wings again.
Nice vid bro! Can you make a video of the uk carrier strike group next please.
Yes, I know that the US has contributed one of its Arleigh Burke-class destroyers as an escort to the UK carrier group and I think Norway contributed a destroyer or frigate too. It would be interesting to see your comments I've seen reports that the Royal Navy intends HMS Queen Elizabeth to be integrated into U.S. Carrier Operations - is that true?
Possibly!
Depending on the mission, the CSG-12 has also German frigates like Hessen hasn’t it?
Hi. That’s correct.
Many NATO member navies have deployed vessels with Ford recently. This is political messaging as well as practical training.
size us ships massive
Out of interest why don't the US carrier groups deploy Frigates like the UK's Type 23 or the new Type 26? Does the US use Frigates and if not why not, most navies including Russian and Chinese seem to have a lot of them?
@just Iceman the main reason is their range and size. To deploy from the west coast and travel to the south China sea they need to refuel more often, slowing down the CSG. They cannot keep up in heavy seas. Blue water deployment is what the US NAVY is all about. Being bounced around in a small ship on the open ocean can fatigue a crew quickly. A modern destroyer is 2 1/2 times bigger than a frigate, more range, more weapons and more accommodating to crew comfort and moral. There is a need for them with the anfibious helicopter carriers where they can escort landing vessels in close to shore landings. Providing mainly anti air cover and protection from small attack boats. A contract has been awarded for a few to be built. But with the fiascos of a number of Littoral Combat Ship (which is just a large frigate) being decommissioned after just a few years in service the quality of a new line of frigates remains a ? mark.
@@watchinglistening I agree your points with most Frigates but a lot of the European navies deploy frigates which in other navies would be considered Destroyers. The UK Type 26 frigate has a displacement of 7,600 tons compared with a LCS having 3,422 tons (so almost twice the size). It's designed to provide carrier fleets with anti-submarine protection while supporting air defence and general purpose operations. It's used in conjunction with the UKs Type 45 Destroyers who's prime purpose it to protect against air attacks. I imagine if the US ever got round to making them they'd build to the same specifications, probably larger. They're cheaper and would help make up the numbers needed to combat the ever increasing Chinese fleet.
Frigates carries less fire power and abilities of the destroyers, cruisers are even more potent than the destroyers in the battle group group, China and Russia cut the cost for having more powerful ships than the US with lighter and less powerful ships !
Because we don't have any right now. USN is building a new class of frigates so they will likely supplement the escort component soon.
@@thundercat277 The Ticonderogas are for the chop very soon. Long in the tooth. Too expensive to operate, maintain & crew.
hello how ru
Is carrier strike group 12 is doesn't have nuclear submarine? 😮
Hi there! Not always, it depends on the mission. Regards
What abaut the norwigan frigat
This is a non nato carrier group 12… regards
The Russian military specialists would working out exactly how they could penetrate and knock out the carrier strike group..
This strike is only a sitting duck with Russian kinshal missile at mach 9 speed, no world air defence can knock it down. Ukraine fired 32 Patriot missile but still penetrate and destroy the defence battery. Useless tax money, 32M American under the poverty.
Not good enough,,, US have Gideon missiles which is multirole weapon and will shoot down at will
Patriot missle has already taken out the Kinzhal missle once already. According to experts the naval defense systems have a system that can take care of the fake russian hypersonic missle
Kinzhal works effectively only against weak adversary like Ukraine,😂😂🤣🤣
It's nothing against US defense,,,,it will be easily shoot down but can you shoot our missiles????
We will see, Petrushka.
