I don’t know ! I remember liking the 2023 more , but this is still a good tequila. Try Don Vicente 108 and tell me what you think. What is msrp for this tequila?
@@tequilaforeverforevertequi4647 I have! The aroma is amazing. Cooked agave, alcohol, strong citrus, pepper, flowers and fruit. The alcohol and the citrus are very prominent all the way thru the long after finish. If your not a HP person, I say don't buy it. I really, really like it, especially for the price that I paid.
@@tequilaforeverforevertequi4647 I gave it a 91. the price, aroma and citrus, fruit made me go a little high .....maybe. The alcohol is a bit stout for some people, but I expected it. I found some 2023 so I'll crack it open this weekend and compare the two.
@ Sounds like a blind test is needed ! It’s a good tequila , I put it away for now , I’m looking forward to a blind test with Don Vicente 108. Salud 🥂 amigo let me know how the two compare.
'21 has no familia rival so far. I wasn't a fan of '23, so, IMO, '24 is better but that's not saying much. I had no interest in the '24, but a random liquor store visit and it was $57.99 and I got 15% off. Too many hp blanco releases that aren't anything special, IMO.
It’s considered a special release because of the masters cut , limited release and the limited production for this tequila yearly. Perhaps they are nothing special , but they are delicious and at that price of 57.99 can’t complain . Where you from ?
@@tequilaforeverforevertequi4647 I'm in Colorado. Lately, everything is limited, small batch, special, etc., to market justify the high price. I was lucky and I'm guessing someone made a mistake on labeling the price, win for me! It's Ocho, I know it's well-made, but I was totally underwhelmed by '23, so I wanted to give it another try with '24. Side by side, '24 is better, but not great, IMO. While I couldn't pass it up at the price I paid. I won't buy another.
@@tequilaforeverforevertequi4647 really expensive too. But I have backed away from añejo. After tears and tapatio I just prefer a high proof Blanco or repo. I like the sweet agave taste.
Wild you are basing your entire review off the neck. That juice needs time to breathe and open up as you go down the bottle. This is an easy 90 point tequila bro.
I have tried this Tequila Ocho on several occasions, experimented with different glassware and given it time to open up, my rating is based on my taste , experience and my opinion . 90 is a respectable rating for this tequila but in my personal opinion 87-88 is good, just remember we don’t all have the same palate. Thank you very much for your feedback and for watching salud 🥂
Adoro
Surprisingly my local Total Wine had it for $61.99. Plus I had a $10 coupon. Major score!
That’s what I’m talking about ! Honest prices salud 🥂
Love this show. Viva.
Thank you !
Loved the Puntas 2024. Bought multiple bottles at MSRP. Price gouging stores are the worst.
Cooked agave sweetness, baking spices, spearmint, pepper, tropical fruits & citrus, vegetal/herbal, anise note, minerals, sweetness.

@@tequilaforeverforevertequi4647 My understanding is right around what you said, $75-79.
Keep going buddy; I appreciate your videos.
Glad you like them!
Luckily I have a couple of go to stores. So far three 2023 bottles $69 and a three locally for $74 ! Puntas is definitety in my top 5.
Those are the prices I like to hear ! Have you tried it the new 2024 ? If you what do you think ?

Do you plan on reviewing the la ladera 2021 XA? I have yet to see someone review it
I do , but only when I find it for a fair price , it’s ridiculously expensive in my area.
Do you know of any other tequila that is a Puntas
La Reina de Antenguillo puntas and Caballito Cerrero puntas.
$1250 pesos on the tequila ocho mexican website. That's about, what, USD 65? only ships to Mexico though
Good price
The 2024 on the nose alcohol but strong citrus and flowers maybe, pepper

I bought 1 at sip tequila. But too expensive. I collect the good stuff.
Luekens in Florida had it for $99, and I believe that they ship across the US
Have you tried Volans añejo ? Really good stuff.

If you paid $100 then shame on you, not sure if you’re a tequila aficionado however
