I loved this song when it first aired. But now, decades on, it has a whole new meaning to me, and how I often reminisce on my school life. I guess I am not alone there..........
Keyboard instrumental cover of popular song by Shalitha Abeywickrama.
Played on ...
• Yamaha DX7 IID, Yamaha FC-5 Foot Controller, Casio VP-1 Expression Pedal with
• Roland SCD-70 Sound Canvas Tone Generator and
• Yamaha AM802 Stereo Mixer and
• Turtle Beach MIDI Orchestrator Pro MIDI Sequencer running on laptop.
Heart touching ♥

Ghnnm wale ghnna epa. Poddk pana powala ghnna. Me melody eka meeta wada wight thiyala gahanna puluwn. Hitha riddagnna epa me comment ekata. Adupadu hadagannai kiynne. Jaya.
😊😊not at all Jaya.
I remember this song when it was first released. The bass line and the drums are very close to the original. Not like what you hear in the re-productions. Most covers and re-productions these days tend to base their changes on popularity. This was a popular song, hence the addition of 'Weight' as you put it. But in my mind that takes away the meaning of the song ... It's not one that requires weight. Of course we all have different views on what we like and don't. So I don't want to play a song that appeals to my emotions with a beautiful meaning, with too much punch or weight, as you put, and take away the meaning and the emotion it creates in me. So we have to agree to disagree on that.
If you think of my play styles, of course I play some baila and dance music with more 'weight'.
It's just that different musicians have different tastes.
I remember Victor Ratnayake saying in one of his concerts I went to see, that the today's cover musicians are not just "Rapping" his songs but actually Raping them. People cover them for their popularity not for the meaning.
I remain mindful of that... and I try not to be one.
Thank you for your comment, though. I appreciate it. 🙏🙏👍
@@HiranthaIddamalgoda Dont misunderstand my comment. Im also keybordist and i know every musicians has different idias and test. But thats not i mention here. Every melody can plays Lot of different type of styles. Someones like new style and someones like default style. Its variation of feelings. But thats not i mention here. I give you Little demonstration about my comment . Everyone can cook. someones has extraordinary talent to cook and Its very tasty. someone can cook but its cant EAT. Also it Can call variation of cooking. But it cant compere with cooking. Thats a reason why im comment your video. Keep it mind. Its not refusing your talent. Its can call advice or suggestion.
@@HiranthaIddamalgoda ok brother. Im not jaya. Jaya mean ජයවේවා. Its useless to comment here. Because you cant get my idia. And i dont need comparisons of your talent and my talent. Anyway keep it up. Goodluck
@@furyland7290 ok sorry I thought it was your name.
How else can you make me understand your idea.
@@furyland7290 - I think I understand what you meant by weight. You said 'pana powala gahanna' - that means play a bit hard on keyboard? Right? Strong hard fingering?
Is that what you meant? Let me know .
Me song eke nots tika denna puluwnd
Dasun... I don't have notes. I play be ear.
