- It's day 3 of our Disney cruise and it's time for our very first excursion! We head to Rosarito Beach for tacos & margaritas. Then, back on the ship we head to dinner at Animator's Palate. This is a 4-Night Baja Cruise aboard the Disney Wonder.

I really enjoyed watching you guys on your first Disney cruise. No vacation comes without bumps, but you took them all in stride. The point of vacations is making core memories and doing what you want to do. Don't listen to the haters. I have been on 7 Disney cruises so far, and there are pros and cons to all of the ships/itineraries.
Enjoying your family's perspective. You are never more prepared for your Disney cruise til you take your first one. You will always have Palo or Remy booked on Pirate night.

I watch a few different vloggers who sometimes go on Disney cruises, and it`s kind of a given that embarkation day is chaotic.I never for a moment thought you were putting down DCL, and I think Caleb is a very lucky boy to have you as parents. FYI on cruises you can order as many apps, entrees, and desserts you want at the dining rooms….don’t like something, ask for something else…want to try everything, go for it….its a great way to try different foods

Pirate night menu is awful and we always book Palo or Remy for those nights. Caleb is adorable and looks like he had a fabulous time!

Palo Dinner on Pirate Night is what we did on our last cruise. I just have to remember to take a nap on that day because after Palo, itʻs hard to stay up for Pirate Party and fireworks on a full stomach! Glad you enjoyed your first Disney Cruise! Thank you for sharing with us.

Pirate Night Menu is our least favorite menu also! lol! But… and I know Caleb was already in bed 😴, try very hard to go the fireworks at sea next time, like you said! That makes up for menu! It’s truly an amazing experience!!! Great video!!

Yup we book Palo dinner for Pirate night too. 😉
TBH, I’m not a fan of the Pirate Night menu, and most times I order room service for dinner on that night😀😀!! I’m not a big fan of the crowds during the fireworks, but after talking with some Crew Members, there are other less crowded areas around the ship where you can view them. One of them is outside of Palo (at least on the Disney Dream).
I've really enjoyed this cruise vlog guys! I hope you plan more in the future. From what Ive seen the Wish sounds right up your alley. Palo is a steakhouse and the food across the ship looks great! Plus a water ride for Caleb!
Embarking is always stressful and feels rushed. I remember being lost on our first cruise most of the day.
We are not fans of the pirate menu and book our adult dining on those nights. It was a one and done for us.
Our embarkation date is 4/28. Super excited to do this with my kids.
We also book specialty dining for Pirate Night. We’ve never had it, but have heard it isn’t great! Embarkation day can be super stressful! I also think it may be more stressful at ports like San Diego where they don’t cruise from year round. Glad you had a great time!
Thanks for the video and glad that things became better on day two. The first day can be overwhelming and especially if it’s your first cruise or first time on a new cruise line. I suggest trying one of the seven night cruises. Gives you much more time to relax and decompress. The beach looked fun. We live on the west coast but the Ensenada/Catalina Island is fr from our favorite. It’s actually a cooler cruise weather wise most of the year. You might want to check out of cruising from Port Canaveral or Fort Lauderdale for your next Disney cruise.
We’re one of the oddballs that actually enjoy the pirate menu 😂 But it is a common theme that most people dislike it. At least y’all gave it a try!! I hope it wasn’t my comment about seeing y’all’s stress on day 1! I felt very bad that embarkation day was like that for y’all, especially since you’re concierge! Felt like shoreside concierge could’ve done a better job prepping y’all for the cruise.

The cabana beach day, fabulous. On our vacations, cabanas and beach lounging with excellent service is our requirement. You are creating wonderful memories for your son. Kudos to you. Yes, if we ever Disney Cruise, we’d never dress up for theme nights. Not our vice. The San Diego shorter cruises look like an option for us. We vacation in San Diego and La Jolla twice a year anyway. So, we’ll see. Thanks for these vlogs! ❤🌈

I'm also of the opinion that the pirate night menu is lacking compared with some others. And dinner at Palo on pirate night is something that I have done in the past. Sadly, the Palo dinner menu isn't what it once was, so I am less tempted to eat dinner there now vs in the past.
I do like the flavor of lamb, so I might be tempted by that. Was the flavor of your strip loan not up to the looks? Granted, you went in craving and expecting something different so I expect you were disappointed regardless.
Oh, as for Caleb, I agree with his choice to enjoy his brownie and ice cream over parading through the dining room. I would make the same choice and concur with his decision / preference.

We 100% agree, "Pirate Night" menu is not the greatest. It's pretty unanimous amongst the community as well. We have skipped ours for the past several cruises to enjoy Palo or we hit up the quick service and head to the theater. Knowledge for future cruises ❤

Embarkation day is stressful and tiring. Especially if it is a ship you don’t know. We cruise quite often and I find the first day exhausting, between getting to the port and getting on board, then comes time to find your cabin….. am I on the port or starboard side (and which is which LOL)
hey guys, love the vlog and please don’t think I’m judging you, I’m just concerned. the sea is a dangerous unpredictable force, especially in a place you don’t know well. when you left Caleb to swim alone because the water was so cold and you didn’t think he would stay out long, I got chills too. Even with a lifeguard in place, please don’t leave your kid alone in the sea! He could get a cramp, get in a riptide, or even just lose sight of shore and swim the wrong way. a lifeguard has to watch ALL the kids, and you only have to watch yours.
Thank you for your concern, but that is Steve with him over my shoulder. We didn't leave him on the beach alone.
