This is not right. There's a book by film editor Ralph Rosenblum called WHEN THE SHOOTING STOPS (the editing begings). One of the chapters is about Mel Brooks behavior in THE PRODUCERS. He was mean as hell to the camerman and Zero particularly because he didn't realize that making a movie is very slow process compared to TV where Mel's only reference to production was TV where things go much master, like it real time. No shooting out of sequence.
