Good info. Thanks. "If the roaster goes down, we are just a bunch of nice people in a building". Love it. I have spoken to Bill Kennedy. He is willing to offer info and guidance. Great guy.
I wish I had the same experience. We ordered an SF-6 around black Friday, and still haven't received it. The lead time has almost doubled, and have struggled to recieve timely correspondence via email and have not been able to talk to anyone on the phone about their production delays. Apologies and excuses only go so far, and when the ship date shifts 4 times, and 3/4 times the date slipped we were never notified until we reached out to them. So far, our experiences has been pretty bad which is sad, having such high hopes in the beginning.
Solid Q&A - I'd also throw in for people to consider US Roaster Corp, since we wen't through a similar process on deciding which would be the best suited. The nice thing about USR's is that you buy them bare bones and can add on any or all additional features. Also US Built, easy to speak to and get a hold of, versatile roasters with small footprints. For build quality, very reasonable prices. Don't judge them by their website though. via Modus Coffee up in Vancouver BC.
Hey Chris! I'm starting my own business, Rustic Coffee Roasters, and I'm roasting on a Sonofresco 1K machine. I know it's small, but I know someday I'll be ballin' on a large roaster haha! Thanks for all the tips and inspiration!
I love these kind of talks, because your experience is just enormous and makes me want to be like you, as a barista and coffee human overall :D thanks for being awesome and stay that way. You're my barista hero
I don’t know much about roasters, but this was still good and informative to watch. Also, the sunroof open did not interfere with the mic at all! Sounded great.
Hiya Chris! Thanks for this video -- very educational. You mention the ceramic fella but there's no info in your description about him as indicated, would luv to possibly support him and check him out - thanks! 👍🏻
Nice video. Thanks. Funny that Geisen has parts now in Marin which is closer than Carson City. More importantly, how did you get variable speed fan on the SF. That was an upcharge right? Not on their specs on the web?
No they are not custom seats. Those are the "Vader" seats and were standard equipment on E36 M3's (1995-1999) as long as the car didn't have the luxury package. Luxury package cars on the other hand only had regular seats that were the same in 325's and 328's, as well as wood grain trim, leather on the door panels, 328 side skirts, and came standard with the M contour wheels. I used to own a 1995 M3 so that's why I know all this.
Do you have any experience with US Roaster Corp roasters? If so, could you give me the Pros and Cons? I'm deciding between the SF-6, us roaster 3kg, and the Mill City 3kg roaster. Any thoughts?
I really wish Chris would show more compassion for birds interested in the coffee industry. Obviously, that bird wanted to ask some questions about roasting, but was too shy. If you watched Chris's instagram story, you would have seen him rudely telling the bird to vacate the premise of his car!
Jan Malec I'd assume because they require smaller batch sizes as well with the IR Burners, but curious about this as well as I've only roasted on Diedrich's
Have used my kitchen hot-air oven for years roasting green coffee beans, works perfect popping two times, and cooling beans fast on serveral ceramic dish plates. Who really need a roaster! People that want to spend money on useless stuff!
I certainly heard quite a bit about roasters. Besides, he made the outline quite clear at the outset of the video that it was about the PROCESS of selection. Learn to open your ears.
Good info. Thanks.

Please do home roasters next! I don't care about popcorn makers...just fancier stuff.
Top video... as usual! Thank you Chris!

Chris, I know this is a bit late but I want to know if you consider Diedrich? they are also made in the US? Thanks
Awesome video as always and I'm definitely going to have to look into those ceramics!

Love your honest opinions about why you bought your roaster. My questions is, how do you keep your teeth so white ^^?
success always for the chenel....👍
What about the Diedrich? Very curious
Dude, on a side note, the interior on your bma is mint! Are those seats custom?

I'm getting ready to build a drum roaster i have been roasting on a bread machine and heat gun .
Is there convective airflow on the SF-25?
Nice video Chris. What are your thoughts on Fluid Bed roasters?
Where's the link to that snowboarder :p
Interesting, information with the roaster. I was also wondering why you use La Marzocco machines? Do you have a deal with them?
I know they're easy to work on! Plus, the La Marzocco has so many great looking models.
bad friends do you think you are paying for the name when it comes down to it? What other espresso machines would you recommend?
Do you have any experience with US Roaster Corp roasters? If so, could you give me the Pros and Cons? I'm deciding between the SF-6, us roaster 3kg, and the Mill City 3kg roaster. Any thoughts?
Which one you end up buying?
Looking into sf-6
Mill City?
Hey man, can't see the link for the mugs?
dope vid btw!
i think its flatwhiteceramics.com/
Thanks man!
You're the man.
I do what I can ^__^
Of course I want to hear about roasters, I want to be a master roaster myself.
Nice

What about Diedrich?... IR-12?

Always informative, your videos are #yoda

you talk too much nonsense, this has nothing to do with a coffee roaster
