Flooding Update - Hurricana Idalia

You may have seen that I had a home that was flooding by Hurricane Idalia on August 30, 2023. This storm was a shock to the Tampa area because of the combination of extremely high tides. I have been working to renovate my home and get it on the market. I just wanted to give you all an update on the process.

Sorry to hear you went through all of this. We moved from Denver a year and half ago to St. Pete and made a decision to rent first to make sure we wanted to stay in Florida long-term. For us, Florida weather, property ownership and insurance, and other factors make it complicated to live here. We're moving back to Denver in February. I truly hope all works out and you find another buyer. Selling a house can be stressful enough!

Nice remodeling, hope you can sell quickly.
One of my friends in Tampa just had some sort of plumbing leak in his foundation. He wasn't too happy the plumber charged him something like $10K-$12K for the repair.
I don't know I expect hurricanes and some flooding. Something I wouldn't forget. Isn't there alot of building and rebuilding of big buildings happening right now in Tampa? I would imagine they wouldn't build if they knew some sort of rising water or major flooding is imminent.

Most of the area doesn't see much flooding. Staying in flood zone X definitely avoids the worry :)
