After seeing some of your vids (especially your review of ''All the Light We Cannot See'') I am positive you'll love a book I'm writing on. Can you give it a read & review when I get it published?
Definitely some big books! I know what you mean about the length of time it takes to read them (even if reading other books concurrently) being an unintentional deterrent. A few of the bigger books on my shelves include The Romanovs by Montefiore, The Savage Détectives by Bolaño, and recently acquired The Books of Jacob by Tokarczuk. I did tackle Kintu and Tomb of Sand this year, both of which are chunkier books so I’m proud of myself there!
This year I made a plan to read one big book every season. So far I’ve got through Deluge by Stephen Markley ( still my top book of 2023) A Fine Balance But I’m still only halfway through The Stone Diaries Kalavier & Clay 🍀👋☘️📖🇮🇪📕☕️📚
That's a good idea! I was thinking of maybe doing something similar in 2024 to motivate me. Quarterly seems like a good amount of time. Half the battle is just committing to picking the book up!

Nice! Always feels good to finish a chunky book.

The 40’s sounds interesting.
