The lyrics have nothing to do with the song not being released. Her first song on Norway's Got Talent was about suicide. Baby Fuzz & a collab wrote this piece. It was handed around to see who would do the number. She did the demo. It comes down to most musician/ writers are signed with recording labels. Angelina wasn't, nor would her parents sign her to any label at 10 or 11 when this was done. The price was shelved. Baby Fuzz released it about 2yrs ago. Just before his release hers was leaked. When Baby Fuzz was told of it, he wanted to hear her version. Lucky for Angelina fans he didn't block it. Talking copy right issues here. As it goes, from Angelina's camp, she will never perform this again. If I didn't suck at remembering names, I could have given referral to the persons who had direct contact with Baby Fuzz & Angelina's people. This was in a comment section of another reviewer.

I couldnt agree more...an instant hit. Im sure down the track she will be given great songs to sing. let alone produce her own music....when that happens then she will truly be launched. She is still in training.....these are the hard yards all great performers go through.....Then they describe...an overnight sensation....when mainstream hits. Hopefully that will happen for her in the right way. How does a ten year old sing like this? I pray the label and studios don't take the soul from her. The nine year old through the thirteen year old period of her is my favorite. I just can't wait to hear what the produced sound is going to be. The simple recordings and videos like this one are a treasure and l always return to them to shed a few tears at the pureness of her genius and her innocence.

My thinking is, that Angelina's family wasn't ready for her to explode onto the world stage with a number one hit at the age of ten. It may have done more harm than good to her career. Slow and steady is the best strategy until she finishes school.... then the world will be her oyster, as the saying goes.... 🙂👍
She already reigns supreme over the jazz genre, but I believe other genres will fall by the wayside as well if she gets involved in performing them as an adult. A 'Janis Joplin' form of soul should be a 'piece of cake' for this exceptional singer, not to mention any form of 'pop' she decides to get involved in. There simply is no one out there now, or in the past for that matter, that can perform multi-genres so flawlessly.
I love Angelina's work and i am often left with the impression that this is the best one I've heard . I now look forward to her next as I used to when I was young and having my ear educated by the Beatles . I trust her sensibilities .
I'm really in love with Angelina Jordan's voice. It's so addicting! I love her song "A Million Years Ago", I love the version when she is older. I can listen to that song the whole day long. I only knew one child singer who was on the same level as Angelina and that was Michael Jackson. I think he would have enjoyed to work with her together.

It also occurred to me that there are a number of Angelina's acoustic covers that you haven't reacted to yet. Please consider California Dreaming, Make You Feel My Love & I will Always Love You (Angelina's A cappella intro - IMHO - is incredible :). Her instincts for all these runs are sublime. It's like she just goes where the music takes her. She always respects the music, always. Whether it is her own original or her spin of another's song, she treats them all with the proper respect for the creative effort and emotion that was put into them by the artists. Angelina's efforts at age 10-11 are some of the best I've heard from anybody. How a person that age can put so much emotion and internal knowing of what drives the song is mind-boggling. Between she and Daneliya these two can sing a song with a grasp and understanding of song that most people have spend their whole life to get to. There are other singers that can give a good accounting when they sing too, but they aren't, or weren't 10 and 11 when they did it. God has blessed these two with extraordinary talents. To which they have applied hard work and time to be worthy of these talents, and we are all the richer and blessed for it. This is the original. The songwriter released his version about a month after she recorded this. She was ten years old! Yes, the pictures were added by a fan about two years later.
QUESTION - Now that Angelina has signed with REPUBLIC RECORDS and given her range of talent in covering different genres, is it reasonable to expect that she would continue with different albums that would reach the widest audience? What might be the TIME FRAME and RECOMMENDATIONS from Republic Records? -- I keep reminding myself, that we just need to RELAX here and WAIT AWHILE and give Angelina some space to continue HER LIFE and CAREER as she sees fit. I personally don't think that she will base her decisions off of what will reach a wider audience. Music means so much more to her than that. I believe she will do what she wants and stay true to herself. Although I hear that she has musical freedom with RR, I just pray that they don't push her to become a "pop star".
@@mikemikemike6451 Thanks for your opinion. -- I think all of us are hoping that Angelina will put out a lot of new stuff, but even if she would throw in an occasional album of Jazz and other classics of the 50's and 60's that would still be a LOT of songs ... especially since IMO Angelina sounds so much better that a lot of singers of the last 50 years because of her unique voice and sound. Like I said at the start, (implied) that Republic Records would give her recommendations that would enhance her career ... not kill the Golden Goose. And I think you're right in that Angelina would resist the Cookie Cutter interference from a record company ... that might depend also on what kind of contract she has and if she can opt to go somewhere else later. ** Most importantly, a long and Happy Life for her and her family (as opposed to other sad celebrity stories).

She could, if you closed your eyes be someone in their 30's pushing 40. I personally do not think of it in terms of suicide regardless of the authors feelings,. To me its just a tragic end an emotional turmoil of a deep love.

Brandon Lowry (Baby Fuzz) wrote the song with cowriters Aksel Carlson, Ronny Janssen, and Frida Amundsen in 2016. Due to lack of interest in this song, Brandon recorded and released the song himself in 2018. The three cowriters are considered to be the initiators of the demo recording, the three are also the cowriters of Angelina's original "Shield". According to Brandon Lowry on his YT channel, he has never had contact with Angelina or her team. He only heard Angelina's version on YT in 2018 and was thrilled. I guess you have to have good relationships with the studio in order to be able to publish this high quality demo recording on YT. Also strange is the date of the release of the two versions on YT, Angelina's version 11/12/2018, Brandon Lowry version 12/19/2018. Angelina and her family would probably have released a version of this song if the lyrics were altered. SOMEONE refused to alter them. I would say Lowry is being less than honest. His version is very similar to Angelina's, which was done earlier.

I'm getting lots of messages about this tune so just thought I'd clear the air! So the song was written and produced by me and a few friends in Norway. It was pitched around possibly for another artist to record, and apparently Angelina cut this version around that time (when she was only 10 years old - impressive!). I never heard the demo, though, and we were never approached about her releasing it as far as I know. The song sat for a few years, and then I just decided to put it out with my original demo vocals on. I came across this version after it was out already, and I think it's super cool. Many feel this is the most unique display of her musical ability, but when her mom wanted to have the ending changed because it concerned a drowning suicide, word has it that the changes wouldn't be approved by the writers so Angelina never got to release it. I believe it would have been a #1 song.

Closer to the truth is she and her family knew this song was exceptional. To release it would have brought too much pressure to sign with a label, so they shelved it. It was only a demo. Baby Fuzz decided to release his own version afterwards, but it is awful. Someone leaked this and we are all the better for it.

Hi Adam, another fantastic and thoughtful reaction to AJ. That whole 'suicide lyrics' story has been going around forever but it seems there's no truth to it, there're also rumours that it wasn't released due to copyright issues between Fuzzy Baby Butt and others, (not AJ). Angelina was actually the first to make a recording demo of this song, making her the original singer, in my eyes anyway. The truth is no one really knows why this wasn't officially released, maybe someday someone will ask Angelina in an interview and we'll get our answer. Funny you should mention Duffy, Angelina did a short tik tok of 'Mercy' which was taken by a fan and made into a mash up, it's brilliant! AJ sang this in an underground car park, acapella, using just her phone. It's incredible just how pitch perfect she was for it to slot straight into the original music video. I think this is the first song AJ does where she has the kind of "sting" in her voice, like she did in "7'th Heaven". The soundtrack is dark and gloomy with mostly low notes, and that allows us to hear every turn she makes. The low pitched track also emhasizes her great phrasing. Love it a lot! Great to see you back at Angelina, Adam :) You've still got a few left that you didn't do of AJ so keep at it mate :)

Not only are her vocals brilliantly expressive and perfect for these melancholy lyrics, but we have literally a child leading us through this dark, emotional journey so convincingly. There is no video of this studio recording, and I think it adds to the mystique. I have been addicted to Angelina for 3-4 years, and even I can’t imagine this extraordinary performance coming from a ten year old. She is the best singer I’ve ever heard-and second place is not even close.

How does a ten year old sing like this? I pray the label and studios don't take the soul from her. The nine year old through the thirteen year old period of her is my favorite. I just can't wait to hear what the produced sound is going to be. The simple recordings and videos like this one are a treasure and l always return to them to shed a few tears at the pureness of her genius and her innocence.

My thinking is, that Angelina's family wasn't ready for her to explode onto the world stage with a number one hit at the age of ten. It may have done more harm than good to her career. Slow and steady is the best strategy until she finishes school.... then the world will be her oyster, as the saying goes.... 🙂👍

Her instincts for all these runs are sublime. It's like she just goes where the music takes her. She always respects the music, always. Whether it is her own original or her spin of another's song, she treats them all with the proper respect for the creative effort and emotion that was put into them by the artists. Angelina's efforts at age 10-11 are some of the best I've heard from anybody. How a person that age can put so much emotion and internal knowing of what drives the song is mind-boggling. Between she and Daneliya these two can sing a song with a grasp and understanding of song that most people have spend their whole life to get to. There are other singers that can give a good accounting when they sing too, but they aren't, or weren't 10 and 11 when they did it. God has blessed these two with extraordinary talents. To which they have applied hard work and time to be worthy of these talents, and we are all the richer and blessed for it.

This is the original. The songwriter released his version about a month after she recorded this. She was ten years old! Yes, the pictures were added by a fan about two years later.

I personally don't think that she will base her decisions off of what will reach a wider audience. Music means so much more to her than that. I believe she will do what she wants and stay true to herself. Although I hear that she has musical freedom with RR, I just pray that they don't push her to become a "pop star".

Like I said at the start, (implied) that Republic Records would give her recommendations that would enhance her career ... not kill the Golden Goose. And I think you're right in that Angelina would resist the Cookie Cutter interference from a record company ... that might depend also on what kind of contract she has and if she can opt to go somewhere else later. ** Most importantly, a long and Happy Life for her and her family (as opposed to other sad celebrity stories).

Brandon Lowry (Baby Fuzz) wrote the song with cowriters Aksel Carlson, Ronny Janssen, and Frida Amundsen in 2016. Due to lack of interest in this song, Brandon recorded and released the song himself in 2018. The three cowriters are considered to be the initiators of the demo recording, the three are also the cowriters of Angelina's original "Shield". According to Brandon Lowry on his YT channel, he has never had contact with Angelina or her team. He only heard Angelina's version on YT in 2018 and was thrilled. I guess you have to have good relationships with the studio in order to be able to publish this high quality demo recording on YT. Also strange is the date of the release of the two versions on YT, Angelina's version 11/12/2018, Brandon Lowry version 12/19/2018. Officially, there is no information from Angelina or her team about who or why the song wasn't released with Angelina. 👏👏💯 *AJ* 💯👏👏

Angelina and her family would probably have released a version of this song if the lyrics were altered. SOMEONE refused to alter them. I would say Lowry is being less than honest. His version is very similar to Angelina's, which was done earlier.

“Baby FuzZ: Hey! I'm getting lots of messages about this tune so just thought I'd clear the air! So the song was written and produced by me and a few friends in Norway. It was pitched around possibly for another artist to record, and apparently Angelina cut this version around that time (when she was only 10 years old - impressive!). I never heard the demo, though, and we were never approached about her releasing it as far as I know. The song sat for a few years, and then I just decided to put it out with my original demo vocals on. I came across this version after it was out already, and I think it's super cool. I don't think there were any hard feelings or anything, was just a demo that didn't end up getting released on her end. Hope that helps clarify!”

Not bad for a 10 year old !!!!!!!! She is actually the first performer of the song. The suicide story isnt true. AJ has changed lyrics on many others songs. Closer to the truth is she and her family knew this song was exceptional. To release it would have brought too much pressure to sign with a label, so they shelved it. It was only a demo. Baby Fuzz decided to release his own version afterwards, but it is awful. Someone leaked this and we are all the better for it.

That whole 'suicide lyrics' story has been going around forever but it seems there's no truth to it, there're also rumours that it wasn't released due to copyright issues between Fuzzy Baby Butt and others, (not AJ). Angelina was actually the first to make a recording demo of this song, making her the original singer, in my eyes anyway. The truth is no one really knows why this wasn't officially released, maybe someday someone will ask Angelina in an interview and we'll get our answer. Funny you should mention Duffy, Angelina did a short tik tok of 'Mercy' which was taken by a fan and made into a mash up, it's brilliant! AJ sang this in an underground car park, acapella, using just her phone. It's incredible just how pitch perfect she was for it to slot straight into the original music video. I think this is the first song AJ does where she has the kind of "sting" in her voice, like she did in "7'th Heaven". The soundtrack is dark and gloomy with mostly low notes, and that allows us to hear every turn she makes. The low pitched track also emhasizes her great phrasing. Love it a lot! Great to see you back at Angelina, Adam :) You've still got a few left that you didn't do of AJ so keep at it mate :)
