- Olivia Hussey who played "Juliet" and Leonard Whiting who played "Romeo" in 1968 classic movie "Romeo and Juliet", held a Question and Answer session at the Aero Theater in Santa Monica, California after the North American premiere of the 4K DCP Restoration of this Franco Zeffirelli masterpiece.
Co-presented by the British Council and the GREAT campaign as part of Shakespeare Lives
Shakespeare Lives is a global project for 2016 celebrating Shakespeare’s work and his influence on culture, education and society on the 400th anniversary of his death.
If I knew about this interview, I'll run to the Aero Theatre in a second. I was in love with both of them and saw this movie more than 20 times.
Wow you are fan of the film!
Thank you so much for posting this! I have always wanted Whiting and Hussey reunite for an interview for a very long time. I even emailed Oprah. Did not get a reply. Guess she was busy. It is great to see them, but at the same time I still see them when they were young 17 Whiting and 15 Hussey. I saw an interview of them in 1967. I can still see these two have great love for each other as great friends. Especially when Leonard compliments Olivia. He was so serious back then. I did not know he was a funny guy. Love these 2 actors in the movie. Perfect casting for all the actors. Awesome, classic and great movie that no other Romeo and Juliet remakes can compare.
LOVED IT THEN! LOVE IT NOW! YES! MY FAVORITE CAST OF ALL TIME! SUPERB!
Какие замечательные и любимые! Если бы ещё и перевести что они говорят.Было бы супер!
Very honored Olivia called me out at 0:30 min.

My Pleasure Tom
They never die it’s been 50 years yet they still have that chemistry, even though Romeo and Juliet haven’t got together in the end they still
Thanks very much!
Thank you
The wedding scene is the best "Ave Maria" I can remember. Can't seem to find on UA-cam. Keep wanting to find to fit in to when I'm on a spin with music.
They might have, but you might have to pay for it now. Try other movie sites.
Is there a third segment? I was so upset when this cut off!
Leonard still has that soft voice...
I knew the people who owned the theater with the DeCaprio version and when I left after watching I said to them, "I hope they don't do 'that' again." (Try to do this film better than . . . ?)
Both are absolute gems. Would love to go to something like this. Would love to be able to ask them a few questions. 😊
I wish the audio was better.
Olivia,why_Leonardo_isn't_your_husband?
The sounds seems muted.
You would think they could have done a lot better than hand held mics.
Оливия,почему_Леонардо_не_ваш_муж?
Вы думаете она вам ответит? Да и не поймет она ваш вопрос, у них несколько ценности другие...
