I have a hundred LPs, about a dozen I brought from England when I immigrated in 1978. I like every song on all hundred of them. I have never bought an LP for just one or two tracks!

Nope, simon didn’t credit them on graceland at all despite the backing track being written and performed by them. Los lobos approached simon at a party later and asked why he would do that. Apparently simon said “take me to court, see what happens”. Simon is a pretty notorious shitty guy.
Except they didn't care about the riff they shared noodling in the studio until Graceland went up the charts, then it was a big deal. If they wanted credit they should have known to keep it to themselves instead of presenting it to an established songwriter as an unfinished fragment
