So glad weaving in ends on the podcast helps motivate you to do so instead of adding to your basket. I know doing all the ends is not fun but to see any project fully finished is so satisfying. I’d have to finish up that basket and use it for something else.
The more I do it, the more I get what everyone means by it being satisfying! And I LOVE the feeling I get when I weave in ends immediately on one of my projects and know it won't be added to my "bucket of shame"
Oh my, your Olga is beautiful and your young son’s zipper sweater is going to be perfect for him. I love the Mini Augustins No. 1 blanket too. The color is gorgeous. You will have fun planning your next projects.
Thank you so much! I love the weeks where I love absolutely everything I'm working on/been working on! And I'm looking forwards to lots of planning now that we are heading into fall🍂
I love your blanket. I remember when you made them before for the twins. Pretty pattern. I think before you cast on the Levitate Wrap you should work on either the wedding dress or the mohair skirt. The skirt doesn't have that much knitting left on it. I know you are going to add pearls but the Knitting part is pretty close. It is all going to be so pretty when finished!!❤ Love your Olga sweater. So glad the red didn't bleed! ❤❤❤ Have a good week
Thank you! It's my favorite blanket, both to make and give away❤️ I'm working on the wedding dress now, and when I think I've made enough progress, I can cast on the Levitate Wrap without it weighing on my conscience! Thank you so much! Have a great week!
The zipper held me off for so long too! But it's honestly not that bad! It's still somewhat intimidating before I do it, but it's never not worked out❤️ And the sweater is definitely worth the stress of sewing in the zipper!
Hi Oline, I admire you for all of the zipper sweaters you have knit, even though you hate sewing in zippers! I had to sew a zipper into a sweater for a class I took, and I vowed never again! Like you, I love the fall so much and it inspires my knitting, because everything starts feeling so cozy and I love the changing colors. Looking forward to seeing your progress on the wedding dress! 😊
Hii! I've found that the worst part of sewing in zippers for me is the anticipation, so once I'm actually doing it I'm fine, stressed out of course but fine😅 That's what's keeps me coming back, I know I can do it, it just makes me a bit uncomfortable❤️ Getting cozy and preparing for fall is my favorite thing! Have a great week!
Glad the Olga turned out so good. I know how worried you were! I am right there with you on the red! Before starting to knit garments 2 years ago I would have never considered red for myself but I am obsessed right now. I am working on a red Eva and next up is a bright red Cardigan No. 9. And then I already have yarn for another red project... I also have yarn for a second Levitate wrap but it has to wait until I am satisfied with the red stuff lol
Thank you!! Red is just so hard to let go off once you're hooked. All I can think about is how good different patterns would look in red🙈 You're giving me more ideas for red projects haha, it's a slippery slope❤️ Just started the levitate wrap, and I already know I'm going to love it🤩
I agree, the planning process is fun. I don't have a yarn stash so I get to plan/dream about all the things I would love to knit one day. One day I will get there, I'm currently finishing up a sweater and a shawl and then have 2 sweater quantities to play with. 1 is Fingering weight and has a plan for a waffle knit Henley but the other one I'm still not decided. I want a basic raglan sweatshirt style comfy every day sweater. I have several patterns and will pick from them and am excited to get started when I finish up my current projects. Good luck with your big basket, you're doing fantastic not adding to it! Wish I was your neighbor, I'd love to have a knitting friend to hang out with and I'd do all of them for you to get you caught up 💙🤩
The planning process is so much fun! A smaller stash is great when you love to plan, and it's easier to cast on the projects while you still remember what your plan was🥰 Sounds like you have some amazing projects in store for you going forwards! I love knitted sweaters that feel like/look like sweatshirts! Thank you so much! It would be amazing having neighbors who knit and that I could knit with❤️
Your Olga sweater turned out beautifully, Olina! I love the modifications you made to the pattern, too. I also love the mini Augustins blanket you made. I adore lace knitting, and I love the magic of a knitted on border. I think it’s great that you’re making new habits by weaving in your ends immediately as you finish a project. Maybe, try taking 1-2 projects out of your basket on a specific day of the week, and weave in the ends before you start knitting that day? It might still take some weeks to burn through everything in the basket, but if you continue to not put anything new into it, you’ll start to see progress, and that might motivate you to continue? Just a suggestion…! Take care, and I look forward to seeing your future knitting projects!
Thank you so much! The Olga turned out exactly how I wanted it!! I couldn't be more pleased! Lace knitting is really something else🥰 I love doing it every now and again! Weaving in ends as I finish project have made a big difference! It will still be some time until I'm through all my abandoned projects, but not adding to the pile is a great feeling❤️ Have a great week!
Have a =n end weaving gathering (party) with your knitting friends/family. Everyone can bring their basket of items and only work on the last step so you and your family can use those garments.
That would be fun! Unfortunately I don't have any nearby knitting friends, and most of my family that knits hate and postpone weaving in ends too. I'm afraid we'd just collectively procrastinate🙈
Your Olga is amazing! The idea with the two-tone collar and the cuffs on the sleeves was great, they blend in so nicely and are almost invisible 👌. Well, it seems that I'm saving Olga to my Ravelry queue 🙈 By the way - I think it would be interesting if you could make a short video about how you wash and dry woolen things - what has worked for you, what products do you use, what take care...
Thank you!! I love how all of the ribbing just blends in with the rest of the sweater! Big recommendation from me!! I can definitely show how I wash and dry my knits! It's really nothing fancy😅
I love your podcasts. You are so sweet, genuine and enthusiastic. All of your knits are beautiful but especially your Mini Augustins blanket. I have a question for you. In regards to washing knits, since I don’t have a wool setting on my washer do you suppose my delicates setting would work the same ? I won’t hold you to it just asking around for thoughts. Thanks and best wishes.
I have to undo a big weaving project, return the loom to my mom, and send the yarn back to its owner. Not fun, and I don't want to, so maybe we can both work a little here and there on the unweaving for me and weaving in ends for you together
Lovely to catch up with you! I cast on my little one's Marseille last night and will probably do the zipper sweater next. What do you plan next for your son?
Those patterns are so good!! I'm really undecided about what to do next, but probably Willums Overalls, Holger Sweater or Friday Sweater. And I need to get started on more mittens and socks, but I find them so boring😅🥲
@@norwegianknitter I think Iwill knit her the Holger cardigan, I am curious about the fit & pattern! Do you know what yarns? I have a few colours of Baby merino and Merino extra fine, so lush! I love the Monday, such a great staple
I'm going to use Sandnes garn smart for the Holger Sweater! Baby merino and merino extra fine are two of my favorite yarns! The Monday looks like a great staple😍
It's not tynn peer gynt! I have some tynn peer gynt, and that is way thinner than this. And this was in baskets labeled Peer Gynt. But there was a reason it was in the outlet store😅 A great bargain, but it's because the yarn isn't up to standards
Love how your olga sweater turned out, it’s gorgeous. Thanks voor your podcast, I really like it!
Thank you so much🥹❤️ I'm so happy with my Olga! I want to wear it every day!

Your Olga is great! So cheerful and happy! So glad the red didn't run.

I'm so glad you like it! It's quickly become one of my favorites to do!
