You should give Mama a bucket of warm molasses water. It has a lot of good vitamins and nutrients and gives them a little boost after using all that energy laboring and delivering. 😊
Oh, they all do, molasses water, grain mixed with alfalfa, hay and a clean pen. I never film that part because by then I have over an hour of footage, my girls also love to eat their placentas 😁 It’s cold, the babies are all in my kitchen with a heater because I don’t have a heat lamp back in the barn, so they are in a playpen by the heater at night, but spend all day with moms. Today is super cold here in the coast so I’m going to lock up babies and moms in kidding pens to make sure they have access to milk and the warmth of an enclosed space, they are not going to like it but I work today and can’t keep an eye on them ❤️ Stay warm, thanks for the advice, it’s always appreciated.
I’m glad you don’t find me weird, when I look back to these videos I realize how I can talk to the goats and have 1 way conversations 😂 Some people find that very weird 🤣
That is always fascinating to me. Gaia is my favorite (don't tell the others😊) I love how tiny and confused the baby girl is. Any names yet? Even birthing goats seems like ASMR. Your voice is so calming and I bet that soothes the mamas too.
Hi! Gaia is my strong independent girl, and teaches those babies to be like her too! Don’t get me wrong, at times, I’m freaking out on the inside, but confident and soothing on the outside it is hard to see them struggle with the first one, but I know that most of the time the rest is easy and fast. That little girl I’ve been calling Lillie ( I probably will register as Silly Lillie) because she is such a clown! She learned to get out of the kids playpen in my kitchen, and last night she was helping a little one get out 🙄 Typical Gaia’a kid! I hope everything is well friend! ❤️ thanks for being here
Macomum usually means a stressful labor. You did great. Normally 30 minutes between kids is normal. I usually check just a little but to make sure placement is good feet and a nose at 20 25 minutes and that can help trigger contractions. But it's worrisome to have to wait. And u never know sometimes they won't push if placement is wrong. Witch is why I just check at 2o to 25 minutes. You did great guys. Their beautiful
@TheHeavenlyHomestead ya that's why I give them time to try to work it out themselves. When u just check with a finger for presentation at 20 25 min you'll know then if they'll get it themselves or weather u are going to have to help
@@jennphelps4843 a little overworked with 10 babies by now and a couple of stressing labors over the weekend but we survived! Well, not all of us. I’ll share a video that includes a little one that didn’t make it. And now I have 10 bottle babies at night keeping me company 😂 tiring but I love them ❤️
Yeah, I had a stillborn doeling, and so far, we've been buckling heavy. 4-2. Trying to build my herd back up as we moved from Massachusetts to Texas in August, and I only transported my 2 senior does, 2 bucklings and 2 doelings. What a journey!!! This is my favorite time of year, but it is exhausting too!
@@jennphelps4843 it really is, and what a trip! Did they do ok on the way? Def a buck year for me, happy for those channels with a million girls lol but not my case 😩
Sometimes that first baby is such a happy distraction they stall a bit. I saw people say they wait 30 min, that's a good suggestion. I've waited up to an hour before with a good outcome, but nothing else alarming was present. Meconium on the first baby would have made me go in sooner than an hour. You did great Lety. You and Gaia both!❤❤
Thank you! I’ve heard people say that even hours after that last baby, another one was born… I guess I never seen it even in a YT video, but I guess in some cases it happens. Gaia is still obsessed with that first boy, but the little girl is so spunky and smart that she catches up to her mom 😂 She took the bottle he didn’t, but he is growing like a weed 🙈 I hope everything is going well in the farm. You are expecting babies this weekend right? We have 2 FF due one on Sunday and the other one Wednesday and I can’t wait!
@@TheHeavenlyHomestead yes Baerli is due this weekend and I have a standard lamancha due with standard kids the 11th, more Nigerians the 12th, and our one mini lamancha that was big enough to breed last year kids the first week of April! Her Nigerian due date is the 1st and standard date is the 6th lol
You did a great job helping her deliver! Pulling 1 leg helps give her more room to pass the baby! Beautiful kids!
Thank you! You live and you learn❤️

Hello Lety! Baby is okay ? I saw the yellow mucus and maybe was stress out.
They were both ok, it just took a while to push it out
Bring mum some warm molasses water to drink while u take care of baby's. It's really good for them
